Ok...I'm tired of the liquids!

Ok so my surgery was on 1/12/09, and did a strict Optifast pre-op diet for one week prior. I lost 10 pounds on the pre-op diet, and only 5 more pounds in the two weeks after surgery. I still have one more week of liquids left before I get to eat real food again, and I am really looking forward to that!

I am a little perplexed as to why I haven't lost more than five pounds in the past two weeks...I have only been on liquids, but I guess I have to feel the restriction from real food to really start losing.

I had a great experience in TJ with Dr. Oritz, and the surgical staff was awesome! Everything they said about what I would experience was absolutely true, and I felt like I was in great hands the whole time!

I would be happy to talk about my experience with anyone who has questions because I remember I had a ton before I went!

Here's to losing 15 more in the coming month!

Girl you better just keep on the liquids as they tell you too! Just think though you are 15lbs lighter than you were a month ago...You will get there, remember we didn't get fat over night and we can't expect to get think over night.(even though we would really like that)

I am glad that I am not the only one feeling like the liquids are running a bit thin! But I did this for a life change. I had the surgery on Jan 30, 2009 and I have lost 10 lbs in the first week and the second week I have stayed the same! This is so disappointing. I have done liquds only so how is this possible??? I know I have to be strong but I thought I would see more of a difference....only a few more days of straight fluids so I will see what happens on food. I am so glad I did go to see Dr. Ortiz and I know it will make a difference....patience is what is needed!
