Hi Sara do you remember me, Val. I called Dr. Ortiz office to ask them about getting a fill at 4 weeks and they said absolutely not, wait until 6 weeks. She didn't really say why, but that's there rules. I hope you are doing well. I am starting to get hunger pains, but am holding up pretty good.

He is a wonderful Dr. you will do great. I think you could not possibly start the new year out better!!! I am one week post-op and I have no side affects of the surgery. The liquid diet is hard, but if you step on the scale every other day, you will find the wieght is poosring off. I stepped on the scale on Monday and then on Wednesday and had lost 4 pds between the two days. So far with the post op diet until now I have lost 24 pds. Tommorow I step on the scale again I can hardly wait, this was the best thing I have ever done for myself.

I was just banded 9.5.07 and am doing great. Since I live in Battle Ground, Wa. I would love some info on any Portland Dr.s that perform fills and how much $$$. I thought I would go back to T.J to have my fill but with cost of airfare, hotel, x-ray for the fill and transportation, I am hoping I can get in done here less expensive.

By Mexacalli do you mean Tijuana or some place else? Is there someone more local?

O.K. so my insurance blantly said they do not cover weight loss surgery, but Dr. Ortiz repaired a hietal hernia I had, what does everyone think should I try and get reimbursed for some of the cost?

Hi everyone, I have been reading the forum but just signed up to post. I was banded one week ago, doing great! so for this Washington support group, anyone down in the Vancouver area? If not I would be willing to go to Seattle to meet. Where is everyone going for fills? Tijuana or local?
