  1. Hi Teri! Well my fill went well. I am now at 6 cc's. I am feeling restriction..and I am amazed at how little I eat and get full. I am excited that I have restriction and hope that it sticks around for a while. I cannot wait for the weight to start coming off. >
  2. Thanks for sharing your story. I am going to Tijuana this weekend for my second fill. I am like you, can eat basically anything. I have the VG band, so my fist fill was 4.6cc's. I felt restriction for the first couple of days, but it slowly went away with each day. I can't wait to see if I still have the 4.6 in my band. Also to see how much of a fill I will be getting. Wish me luck! I will let you know how it goes.
  3. Hi Kevin! It was nice meeting you and your Mom on Monday. You were gone when I came out from getting my fill. I ask your mom to say bye for me and let you know how much of a fill I got. I got 4.8 cc's tomorrow I will find out if I have any restriction at all. I think I will because I have to drink my Slimfast shakes slower then normal. How did your fill go, how much did you get?? Also, did the pink drink mess with your tummy? It really messed up mine for a day or two.
  4. I had my surgery on the 29th of September. I pushed my fill date out so I could enjoy Thanksgiving. As far as restriction goes.....I really don't have any at all. This is going to be my first fill...so I am hoping that they will give me a nice healthy fill, like Tombourn got. I did notice that occasionally in the evening I feel some restriction, but not a whole lot. Look forward to meeting you and exchanging stories. I haven't weighed my self in about 3 weeks. I am going to weigh myself this week though and see where I am at.
  5. Hey CalKey- I'll be getting my fill on the 27th also. My appointment is at 10am. This will be interesting, because I also have the VG band. We can keep each other posted on how much retriction we feel. Hopefully I'll run into you there.
  6. Out of curiosity, what was the cost for all the work you had done?? Also, did you have it all done the same day or in seperate surgerys?
  7. [quote Lapoli, I was still at the clinic whenI saw you post op up and walking around just a very short while after surgery... goood for you. Hope everyone is doing well and looking forward to hearing from you all. Peggy form Florida... Yeah, Dr. Ortiz seemed pretty shocked to see me up and walking around . He actually gave me a hug and told me "I just finished your surgery" and was very happy to see the effort. Walking definatly helped with the gas. and that's all I could think about. I'm going to weigh myself tomorrow...I think I've lost around 10lbs, but won't know for sure til' tomorrow. Hope your doing great!!
  8. I'm with you on this. I LOVE LORI !!! She is so on the ball and happy to help with any questions that you might have. She was the one that was always there. Kudos to Lori!!
  9. I just had my suregry on the 29th of September. I think my BMI is 56.4 and I can tell you that my recovery time was really well. I was up and walking around quicker then the some of the patients. I was the heaviest one there I think. The pain isn't bad, unless you focus on it. I think that you will do fine, as long as you follow all of Dr. Miranda's pre-op guidelines. I went to Costco on Saturday, the day after surgery. Went home Sunday and I dropped my daughter off at school this morning. I will return to work tomorrow. Good luck to you!
  10. Well I am banded. I was the first one on the chopping block. I feel some gas pains in my chest, but according to everyone else it is normal. And walking and breathing excercises will help get it all out. I am really tired though. I cannot wait to have a good nights sleep tonight!
  11. Thanks for posting this question TuesdaytheCat. I am in your boat right now, and after reading all these reply's to your question. I feel more at ease and know that this will be a great ending and and wonderful beginning!
  12. Thanks for all the information..you answered alot of my questions. I feel alot better now, and not so anxious.
  13. Well it's close to my turn also. I will be leaving my home on the 28th. Driving down with my husband and my Mom. I am getting really nervous now and I feel almost sick to my stomach. I packed my bag last night, I am trying to plan everything just right so my household can run without me there. All you Mom's know just what I mean.... I'll write you guys from the OCC.
  14. I was wondering if we are required to be there the day before Surgery. If so, are we supposed to be there by a certain time?? Do we have to go to the office before we can check into the Hotel? What time are we allowed to check into the Hotel? I know, I know, a lot of questions.
  15. Tom Thanks for the words of encouragement. Atkins does make a protien shake, but they taste REALLY BAD... Did you lose the last 6lbs doing the liquid diet Dr. Miranda gives?? I keep telling myself that I can do this, I am going to relax about it....just like you said. That will make things alot better I'll update everyone on Friday on where my weight is....
