First of all I want to say, it takes alot of gutts to get on here and fess up that you made a mistake. Believe me, I got chewed out for eating a piece of chocolate. But you and I know, how tough this is. When you told me about the pizza, I wasnt sure what to say. I knew it would be hard because your son was eating it there in front of you. I know you want this. I want it too. I know you need this. I need it too. This is the hardest thing that I have ever had to do, was to sit down and look at my relationship with food. I have actually cried. I felt like I had lost my best friend. What would I do when I am bored? What would I do when I am down? I could no longer turn to the thing that made me feel better. The Liquid phase made me really take a look at how I was abusing myself. Yes, I have slipped, but I dont feel that it put my band at risk. I think the slip had to do with my issues about me. I think that if you really want this. You have to look at why you wanted it and what is causing you to not take your risk seriously. I am concerned about you. If you want this, which I think you do, you need to stop what you are doing, step back and promise yourself that you are going to be strong. Each time you crave food, stop, listen. Is it your body talking or your head. Cause I found it was my head talking. The old habits were trying to creap up on me. That is why I got on here. To stop the insanity. We are here to support you. But you have to stop it NOW!! I mean it woman!!! I walked this road with you. Dont let it all go to waste. Seek help if you need to. The hardest thing I had to do was to call my friends and tell them I needed support. This is not an easy road we chose to walk but we did chose it and now we have to remain on it. Oh ya I love no sales tax. There are alot of hotels next to Clackamas Town Center. That should be easy. From what I was told once you get the band, you have to watch how you drink. So I will have to be real careful, I dont want to get totally messed up on my face drunk. HA@! How embarrassing. But you guys are like family. Do dont tell anyone.HA! HA! My sisters restraurant is kind of a hole in the wall but she has good food and we will be all to ourselves. I think we will have fun. I think I may have her famous steak if I can chew it enough. She told me today if there is enough people she will bring in two cooks and extra wait staff to make sure we are taken care of. I love great service, even if she is my sister, I expect the best.

Think there is a motel called the Hampton Inn, that is down the street from the place. This place is just an old Pub but it will do the trick cause we will have the whole dining room for just us. It is dead on Saturdays. YAHOOO

I see them on Mamamichelles all the times, where she has the photos of her lined up, so you can see the changes. Does anyone know how to make one of those. I sent her a message too. But if you know how, please let me know. I want to track my progress. Thanks

I sent out another message on the other site, there may be people on there that want to come. I let them know nov 8th at 1:00 I hope that is still right? We didnt change did we? I will keep on my sister so she can get some extra goodies there at the restaurant. by then I will be able to eat, thank goodness.

That freaks me out. I can only pray that mine is right. All I can say is flouro should have showed that it was improperly placed. At least that is what I would assume. I am going to a clinic nearby when I get my fills so I am going to make sure mine looks ok. I guess all I can say is I am sorry that happened to you. There are a lot of people on here that have not had this happen so I am banking on this not happening to me in the future. I can only pray.

It seems like you would have symptoms from the get go if the band slipped. I guess I am not understanding this. Is there no way to tell. I just got my band and it feels tight to me but I still can drink just fine. So I would think if it was placed wrong that a person would not be able to drink or eat when it came time to eat. It just doesnt make sense to me that a person would not know.

Welcome to the group. I was banded on the 19th and have one week left of the liquid hell, I call it. HA! Your body is going to go through so many things. I still can't believe what this had done for me. I actually walked in to liz clauborne today, I have never had to gutts to do that. They actually had my size. In the little time since I got banded, I feel so good. Your journey is going to be so good and we are here to support you all the way. This group has helped me to stay on track and keep with the plan that Dr Ortiz told me to do. It has not been easy but with a little help from friends we can do it. Again, welcome to the group.

I think she said OCC put it in. I am sorry that you had to go through this. I just got my band I am have found aftercare near where I live so I feel safe with it. If I end up getting pregnant, which I hope that I do not at this point. I plan to have it watched closely to make sure it does not move. The minute I start to have problems, I am back on a plane to get it checked out or even removed if that is what I need to do. If that is what the dr here says is necessary, you bet it would come out. Unfortantely, I have way more than 20 pounds to lose, so to me, it was worth the risk. I hope for you, your baby and you share a wonderful experience with the birth of your child and you can put all this behind you. I understand your being upset. But for some people, as I can say for myself, this is what I needed to do to take care of my health or with the weight gain, eventually I would be looking at diabetes and possible death. I understand my risk and I will have to live with that. Again, I am sorry you had such a bad experience and wish you and your baby the best of happiness in the future. Stormy

Dr wrote up a prescription, lets see what happens. I hope they give us back some of the money, we need it bad.

It used to be called the Medium Rare. Now it is called Anita's Diamondback Grill. It is an old place but the bar is the busy part. The restaurant, if I let her know how many we have, she can save the tables for us. During the day, she doesn't have much business in the restaurant part. She has things like, steak, salads, chicken, french fries, hamburgers. But for me and my crew, I bet she will cook up about anything we want. I think she has fish too. Hey and Julie, we could get you that bloody mary. HA! I just need to let her know the date and about how many so she can be ready. It is off of I-205, Estacada exit, then about two stop lights and it is on the left, it is so easy to find. Let me call her. I want to make sure she is there on the 8th if that is the date we are looking at. I want good service. HA!

I am so jelious. I have 8 more days and I can barely stand it!!! I know I can do this.. I am just bored with all this liquid. Is there nothing to spice up this boring liquid diet. I want a chicken sandwhich. I remember those days. But I also remember how sick I would feel afterwards. I am so glad that I will only be eating a little bit now. I am going to be really scarred when I do eat. I dont want to hurt this thing at all. Maybe mashed potatos will be it for me.

My sister owes a restraurant in Clackamas area, we would take over the whole place. She wouldnt mind. Business is slow for her and the food is good. I could make a map and everything. You just need to let me know the date. In November hubby and I would be able to eat too.. What do you think. She has good food. It is right off the freeway so it would be easy to find.

I woke up this morning and it seems to be a little better. I am thinking it is gas, but boy that is some terrible stuff if that is what it is. I know that I am not drinking enough water. I am going to make sure today that I drink alot and that my body can get all it needs to get rid of this stuff because otherwise I feel good. I have 8 days left until solids. I have to make it. It is important.

No it happens when I am not drinking. When I drink, it seems to get better. I wonder if it is because I didnt drink enough water, I have only had about 8 ounces today. But have had lots of juice and soup

I have been having this tightness in my chest for last two days. Today it got worse. Could this be gas? It seems weird that it would be since it has been so long after the surgery. We had surgery on the 19th of Sept. But I feel this tightness in my chest and it is starting to hurt. I know I did not drink enough water the last two days. Could that be it? I keep stretching because I thought maybe it is my back, I know I need a back adjustment, but this is not helping. Does anyone have any advise. Is this gas? What is this? Should I be worried? Does this mean the band is hurting me? I am able to get liquids down. I have not had any food. I have been so good. I have 9 days left and then I can eat solids. I am getting kinda scarred. I am drinking a gatorade right now, I hope it helps.

My husband and I were banded on Sept 19th. We both see a really good chiropractor. He does not know alot about the band. Can anyone tell me what I need to know about chiropractic. Does anyone here still go and how does your care work now? do they adjust you differently now? Should we be worried about the band? I really need my back popped it is bothering me. Maybe I should have him pop my back a different way then he did before, because he used to bend me all up and lean on me and work his way down my body. It is hard to explain. Maybe now I should lay on my stomach and have him press on my back to pop it. Maybe that would be better. We do not want to hurt the band. Do you think I should try to call OCC? I hate to try to get through to them, I am not in pain or anything. I just want to be safe. Thanks

No, my mouth is not dry, my stomach feels dry. It is hard to explain. When I get up in the morning my stomach hurts. I have to put something in it because it feels dry and my throat sometimes hurts but my mouth doesnt feel dry. Ok well it did once but I think I was sleeping with my mouth open. HA!
