  1. I ordered some this afternoon, I didn't notice anything about how long the shipping takes... Hopefully it comes soon!
  2. I remember watching a video of her sliming/PB'ing on the street in one video... lol here's the link:
  3. Congrats on being so close to your goal, it's amazing how a little bit of exercise can really tighten things up and kick-start your progress!
  4. Here's a link on how to add a ticker (or whatever text / add ons) you'd like: http://www.lapbandforum.com/index.php?showtopic=5317
  5. M-C I love what you put in your signature line: Starting weight: 289 (Gigantic) Pre-op weight: 272 (Fatso) Banded: 3/24/08 (Hopeful) Weight as of 4/12/08: 263 (Getting there) You are so cute!
  6. I have been using the shakes too because I'm never hungry in the mornings, a lot of days I'll have one for lunch too!! Again there are so many worse things than not being hungry, lol you know what I mean? Let us know what Dr. M says!!
  7. Lol, well maybe the optifast was part of the secret!! Honestly there's no secret, just following the rules! 1000 - 1200 calories per day 60 - 100 grams of protein per day 80 - 100 oz of water per day 20 - 45 min of exercise per day I post a lot of my daily triumphs, trials and thoughts on my blog: http://mamamichellelv.wordpress.com/ so if you really want a peek inside my head that's where you'll find it!! lol
  8. I did the cashier's check also, if you do go that route be sure to send a copy of the checks... I actually scanned a copy of them and emailed them instead of faxing them!
  9. I am sorry you aren't feeling any restriction, but honestly that's very common and that's why it's called "bandster hell" you are smart to recognize your weaknesses and take the steps to get the most successful results you can!! I have done an optifast for breakfast since day 6 of banding, because it's a great protein boost and I'm usually not hungry enough in the morning to eat a full meal! You will do great!!
  10. I can't wait either, both to get our fills and to see everyone and catch up!! We will miss you guys for sure but tell Alyssa I will leave her a blindfold with Dr. R so she doesn't have to look at the needle..
  11. We would love to hear your PB story, share, share, share! (I'm egging you on, lol)
  12. That's why I love this board, the info and advice you get is the kind of stuff you won't find in any manual!!
  13. sounds great we will all be arriving together that morning at 9am and should be there till 11:30 or 12!! Then we will be shopping I'm sure!
  14. I will probably make a photo slide show with my progress pics once I am a few more months post op, since I am taking pics in the same outfit every month I can see the changes really well! I've only taken 2 sets (day before surgery and 1 month post op) and I will be taking the 3rd set in about 2 weeks... I too would love to see your videos BeBe
  15. Hey Wendy, So sorry to hear about what happened but look on the bright side: at least you aren't on here posting that you had some terrible complication during surgery because you didn't quit smoking and some other uncaring doctors let you do the surgery anyways. The OCC docs are amazing and they only want what is the best and safest for you!! YOU CAN DO IT.. and YOU WILL DO IT!!
  16. Mine was pretty much gone by the end of week one, I also used neosporin and maderma but I think what helped alot was using Vitamin E capsules that I would open and apply to my scars starting about week 2!
  17. How wonderful, on that very same day there will be a group of 5 of us who were banded on 2/28 will be getting our first fills that morning (9am) so it will be great to meet you both!!
  18. A bunch of us that were banded on 2/28 will be getting our first fills on april 18th at 9am so if you are still around after your surgery that morning hopefully we can meet you!!
  19. You can get a rush on your passport if you really need it, when a hurricane hit our honeymoon destination in Mexico back in 2005 we had to get passports to go somewhere else and we had them in less than 2 weeks!!
  20. I saw this on another board and it sounds like a good idea. I've been thinking about it - and I'm sure most of you have been too -- let's do a CLOTHING EXCHANGE!!!! I know "most" of us don't stay in the same size clothing for long - and although postage might cost us a little bit of money - it is far cheaper than having to BUY new clothes every so many pounds --- I love that I've lost weight - don't get me wrong - but my almost "empty" closet isn't a good feeling -- and the idea of buying clothes that won't fit in a month's time, for the most part, just doesn't motivate me to throw my money away every few weeks. Since shipping would be very expensive out of the U.S. - I think we'd have to start a new thread for each country of bandsters who wants to do the same thing --- so U.S. folks what do you say? Outside the U.S. - want to start a clothing exchange too on a new thread? *as a courtesy to each person mailing out clothing - let's thank them by sending them a check for postage after we get the clothes "Pictures" of each item might be a consideration also? Then people can pick and choose what they would like -- if you're interested - please PM (personal message) the person who is posting specific clothing to give away -- and you can exchange addresses to protect everyone's privacy So what do you guys think?
  21. I think it would be a light support for it, nothing too extreme like the binding.. So glad you are feeling better let us know how your first day on real food goes!!
  22. I also use this link to edit my album maybe you can access yours this way: http://www.lapbandforum.com/index.php?auto...&req=albums
