I have use EAS Shakes from the first day. I have found that they taste so much better.

I would be most willing to send anyone my clothes, but I do believe that a size 32 is really to large for anyone on here now, with all the weight loss going on.
-
Never thought of looking at it that way. 50 pounds of dog food is a lot. Mona, Larry says hi. He is doing great. We often think of you two, it was such a great time in TJ. My Mom told me it was time to move on to a smaller size of clothing, but money is tight right now. Just had to buy some new pants, can't get caught in public with them falling down. I read about the Craptastic Club and do believe I fall into that catagory with 6 cats and a giant cat litter box, scrapping poo every few days to keep it clean. I have pictures of my self and have tried to download them into an album with now success, will have to wait for my Computer expert (daughter) to help me. There is a album with my name on it in the gallery under Bobbi.

It's been a while since I have been on here. Need to know if anyone else feels different. I was banded on March 24 of this year, met Mona while there we were banded on the same day. I have thus far lost 50 pounds, but to me I don't see it. I do feel better my clothes are fitting really funny now. Really loose, went from a 32 down to a 24 still have way more to go, but like I said I can't tell. I look in the mirror and still see me, fat face and all. My mom came to visit over the month of June and couldn't believe the weight loss, a lot of people have commented, but still it's just me. Don't want anyone to get down because of this, just want to know if anyone else feels the same way. Loose the weight, but still see the same old person in the mirror.

I just spoke to Fill Centers USA
Bobbi replied to mona-camille's topic in Gastric Band Support & Discussion
Mona - Go for the Fill Center, money is getting tight for most of us these days. Haven't been around in a month. Had so much going on. I didn't know you had the larger band. Tells you how much I have been on this site. I haven't lost any weight in about 3 weeks. Have gone back on shakes and a light dinner for a few days to see how things progress. Take care. -
BC Canada Where do I get Fills
Bobbi replied to northcanada's topic in Fill Doctors & Fill Trips to Tijuana
I don't know where Vanderhoof is, but the nearest place that I can think of for you is in Arlington, WA. Probably to far for you to go, but that is who I use. They are wonderful. -
I can't attend the 19th, I work Monday thru Friday and won't be able to get off. I am using my time in the next few days for my last child's graduation. Then on the 5th of July I will be in Wyoming going to my 35th class reunion hopefully if there is one in August. Thanks Bobbi

Congrats!!! Know just how you feel. But you will succeed!!! =D> -
As every one has said welcome to the group. Before I got banded I sought out counseling knowing full well that food was my enemy. It is a constant battle every day for all of us. I work in the fishing industry (more to the point a bread and batter plant). I have to smell the frying of the food that they are preparing every day. They have to have samples up in the office for all of us to eat. ( I no longer eat any of the samples brought up except when it is Salmon Burgers , I take one for my lunch.) This is my torture every day. I can not escape food other then quitting my job. At home I don't go in the kitchen much these days and as every one has said stay out of the isles and away from the junk food. There is no bread in my house. I eat fresh vegies and protien every day, with a piece of fresh fruit. My husband likes fast food so once a month I will get a small hamburger or chicken with a salad. This is my treat. I drink Crystal lite, have for years. Toughy is not drinking with meals, which I have been able to do so far. Just remember we are here for you, just call upon us when you need to, someone will answer.

Creamy soup stage not going so well
Bobbi replied to sphynxmomma's topic in Gastric Band Support & Discussion
I used the Safeway brand when I went to soup. I put it into the blender to get it even more smooth. I especially like the potatoe soup, put it into the blender with a little bit of fat free milk and it was very good. Just remember to sip and when you get full stop. Try different brands of soup too. -
Not band related.....well maybe
Bobbi replied to mona-camille's topic in Gastric Band Support & Discussion
Mona - Larry and I are so sorry for the loss of your dear little furry friend. They are so precious to us and yet they have such short lives compared to ours. This is so we can move on eventually and invite another one into our lives. I know for now that will not happen but when the hurt starts waning some little creature will make its life and love back into yours and yours mother hearts. We too will be saying goodbye to Greymatter in a few more days, he too is very sick and very old (16 years). Our prayers will be with you and your mother. Your bandsister Bobbi -
I have been waiting to hear how things went with your fill. So glad you are doing well. I will be going for my second in a week or two. I only lost 4 pounds since my fill on May 3rd, but a loss is a loss. I couldn't believe it but I had to buy some new pants. I was able to go to K-Mart and buy them in the Womens section. I use to have to go on line to find clothes big enough. Having the band is so great. Keep us posted on your progress, miss hearing from you. My cats love it when I have salmon, which is once a week. Cod and pollock not so much.

My husband enjoyed the restaurant and the food. Everyone is so kind and attentive. The one thing I really liked myself was the chicken broth...but, if you like ice tea they have the best stuff, haven't had any that good ever. Everyone at the clinic is wonderful, they will answer all your question, and you will be treated like a royalty. Welcom to the group and good luck on your new journey!!! >

Since surgery I have more gas then I ever had. I burp after eating and drinking. Then the real big rumbles let loose down below, and I can't seem to stop any of this. I use Gas-X strips a lot now. Guess it's just a trade off I had to make to get this weight off.

You can do it!! I had to loose 15 before the surgery. I did what you are doing, and I ate a lot of salad. Good luck!!!

My First Fill In Arinlington WA
Bobbi replied to Bobbi's topic in Fill Doctors & Fill Trips to Tijuana
They call themselves Fill Management Northwest, the are in the Arlington Pharmacy. Real easy access to get there. I did the same thing you are going through. I wanted to make sure there was some place to get the fill and information along this journey. They are wonderful women ath the clinic. You will also find that Dr. Ortiz and his group are wonderful too. This is the best gift I could have ever given myself. Good luck on you journey. -

I use this clinic too. They are so wonderful and knowledgable. I had my first fill with them on the 3rd of this month and plan on going back in another week or two. They had me lay down to do the fill my tummy was stretching down due to the weight loss. They also told me to start doing some upper body strenghth training too. The cost is minimal to me. They also explained the restriction to me too. Just great lady. -
I am surprised too that you were not given any pain medication. I was given 6 pill when I left the clinic. I have been banded for a little over 6 weeks now. It does get better through time. The food addiction is the hardest, I have learned to do other things through out the evening. My hardest times are between 3:00 in the afternoon and 7:00 in the evening. With time and the band this has gotten easier for me. Oh food will always be there we need it to live to reenergize our bodies. I am so sorry you have had a rough time and hope things will smooth out for you. In a few months a new you will surface and all will be better and the past the past. Good luck.

It was 8.75, but I have excellent credit rating. Payments are $225.00 a month for 4 years, no penalties to pay off early,
