  1. Okay, I would never have thought of that. Great idea, Cedar Bet they only let you come on for so many times without registering.
  2. Prayers are in motion! Hugs, Paula
  3. YAY LORI!!!!!! Thank you.
  4. I read this, and I am not sure how this helps us, as it is a bereavement discount.
  5. If I am hungry a couple of hours after dinner, I have yogurt first... counts as a liquid and a calcium. If I am still mentally hungry after that, I have some V-8 with a little soy and worchestershire sause, and maybe a drop or two of hot sauce. Sipping that will give your mouth a nice little burst, and almost always makes me lose the desire to eat anything. AND, V-8 has two servings of veggies. Maybe this will help.
  6. Amen and amen. I love the great, big, one happy family atmosphere that was here when I joined. I want it back.
  7. I will look. Thanks!
  8. SNORT... laughing so hard that I am about to wet myself. The dogs are trying to lick my face because they think something is wrong with me. (Well, actually it is better than them sniffing my bottom after I fart.) When I was growing up, we couldn't use the word fart. We "tooted." My own kids called it "fluffing." "Mom! Zach is fluffing and it smells horrible!"
  9. Now I am on the floor laughing so hard.. Julie, you are a hoot!
  10. Yes and yes. Don't know what it is about the words burping and farting, but they just make me laugh. (Maybe I just taught 6th graders too long.)
  11. WOOT! Hope you have a wonderful and productive trip and fill! Keep us up to date.
  12. YAY.. the hardest part is over, (although some people think the 21 days of liquids is the worst... lol..) Welcome to band land.
  13. Thanks for the info.. I will see if I can track one down, because I really am not good with repetitive sounds.
  14. Hope your day is nothing short of wonderful! Happy Birthday
  15. Well, we can't get reasonable plane tickets here in Jacksonville anymore. The ones that were $225 in May are now $400 or more. I promised my daughter that I would bring her this time, but the cost of flying has finally outpaced the cost of a local fill and the drive and motel. I have scheduled a fill and for Dr. So to check to see if my esophogas is still stretched on July 29 in TJ. It will probably be the last time I go back for a long while, as I am hoping this 3rd fill is a charm. Anyone else going that time or scheduling to go? Hope so... it would be nice to meet up with some of you. I know this goes in the fills section, but I didn't want it there. Alas.. The Rebellious One
  16. We all have tried and failed at so many things that it is natural for you to worry that you will fail at this, too. You will not. Get banded, enjoy the mini-spa treatment, and let us know how it went.
  17. Just lots of HUGS and Support! Take each day one at a time. Everyone else has said it all. > :lb18: :lb4:
  18. I realize that I am a little sound sensitive, but I cannot stand the constant click-click, click-click. I just walk til my knee is hurting then take pain meds for it.
  19. I know you are so happy to have crossed into Bandland, and I am happy for you. Keep us up to date.
  20. :girl_dance: YAY! DOING THE HAPPY DANCE FOR YOU!!! :sun_bespectacled: I am so glad things are finally coming together for you. I am a bit envious, but I know I will find my band heaven soon!
  21. CONGRATULATIONS! Welcome to bandland!! I have plenty of jackas..... mmm.. er.. donkeys in my life. I will continue to believe they are zebras. You know, however, that you do have to watch out for jackasses in zebra's clothing.
  22. Yep, my twins, Zachary and Roxanne, will be 24 in August.... looking back on it, it went by so fast. You, my dear, are just entering the twilight zone... Still, it was all enjoyable, more or less... Roxanne is harder than Zachary to deal with, plus the expenses for her were so much higher.. majorette, twirling competitions, formals for dances, etc. Homecoming court, 2nd place Miss Clay Hi, Prom Queen... lots of dresses and lots of expense.
  23. Cathy, you and I are about the same weight and body size. I, like you would love to wear a size 10 or 12. I am currently a 22 and was 26 at my highest. You were banded after me, so I expect you to catch up soon.
  24. Yay! Yay! Doing the happy dance for you! :girl_dance:
  25. I, like Michelle, had my shoe size shrink last time I lost 112 times from 12 to 10.5. On my first pregnancy, I increased to 10.5. My doctor told me that my hormones had caused my body's ligaments to stretch in preparation for the mechanics of child birth. On my second pregnancy with the twins, my shoe size increased to 12... hate wearing a 12.. so hard to find shoes. The other place you may notice your weight loss is your contact lenses. At my last major weight loss my contacts kept popping out. I went to my optometrist, and she said that losing weight will shrink your eye size, too, and she had seen this in every patient that had experienced major weight loss, and prescribed new contact lenses. Also, my glasses frames had gotten too wide, and I had to get new ones.
