  1. Welcome to BANDLAND!! I know you are glad to have the surgery done and past. Tomorrow go out and have a great time on Rev. Ave.
  2. WOOT.. Doing the happy dance for you... every goal met is worth celebrating, and it is fabulous that you can check this one off your list. woo woo!
  3. Lots of hugs... you can vent here whenever you need to.. it helps keep us mentally healthy, and that helps us with our eating.
  4. Yep, Jann, I think you are right about the straw/gas problem. It would be a solution for me because I would sip rather than gulp. Tonight I have been setting the timer every hour and getting a glass of water.. in theory.. I am still sitting with a glass half full of water. At least it is half full rather than half empty.
  5. Yay! Good for you! I will look forward to your progress! Welcome to the world of no regrets...
  6. Woot! Doing the Happy Dance for you!
  7. Wow.. sounds like we need to form a support group... lol
  8. Hi, Celia! I am also a mother of twins... Mine, Zachary and Roxanne, are 23 years old, college grads, have great jobs. I tell you that to let you know that it goes by so quickly and there is a happy ending at the rainbow when they find their own pots of gold.
  9. Yeow.. I am not drinking enough water. I pour a glass of ice water, place it on my end table, then get distracted. When I do remember, I want to gulp it down, and we are only supposed to sip it. Part of the time I forget because of the hour we have to wait after meals, and I have even tried setting the timer. I have been adding Special K packets to make it taste better. I am noticing it in my cracking lips and dry skin. ugh.. Do I need to fasten the glass to my neck?
  10. I generally don't wear a bra unless I leave the house, but when I have to, I need a bra extender. That is the day I will do the happy dance... when I don't need the extender. I only have two loops to go ..yayyyyy!
  11. Snorting with laughter.. Will, I am waiting for the comment when you finally make me cry with laughter.
  12. WOOT! Welcome to Bandland. Also, congrats on your weight loss! That is awesome. Yes, life is great
  13. I was at a plateau for 5 weeks after my first fill. When I went back for my second fill, I talked with Dr. Miranda about what I might be doing wrong. The first thing she asked me was if I was measuring myself. I said no, and she said do it, that I would notice a difference there even though I hadn't lost weight. She pointed out my baggy shirt, and asked if I had noticed differences anywhere else. I had to think about it, then it dawned on me that I didn't have to use a seatbelt extender on the airplanes. I did the happy dance and she did too. (Really, she is so adorable.) So.. you are probably showing weight loss other than on the scale. Oh, yeah... measure yourself.
  14. Hello, Sylvia, and welcome! The clinic is wonderful and the banding experience is easier than we can explain. Many of us went shopping the afternoon after we were discharged from the clinic. I have come alone twice now, and kind of enjoyed the "me" time without my husband. (I love him dearly, but everyone needs some "me" time.) Glad you scheduled surgery and looking forward to gettting to know you here in the forum.
  15. You are right.. I think these are wonderful, although I try not to replace real food with them. I use them for breakfast on some days, and I carry one with me incase I get caught out at lunch time.
  16. Wow.. I am not sure how your port could be leaking if you had it done at OCC. Could it be that you were just swollen from your 3rd fill, and after the swelling was gone, you have the restriction you are experiencing now? I understand, but don't like, the charge for a leaky port, since they have to pay for the replacement port. I am sad that you are having to go through this stress. Please keep us updated on what happens.
  17. LMAO.. If I was wasabi, I would have PEED myself from laughing at your corniness.. clever corniness..
  18. :lb12: :lb12: :lb12: I am sorry I burst your bubble :lb12: :lb12:
  19. You are doing fabulously.. your name change is great and reflects your goals. I know what you mean about depending on the forum.. it really is a tight knit, helpful, family type unit... I appreciate one and all of you.
  20. Yay.. yay.. I am so happy your check-up was good and you are doing great! (Doing the happy dance.. woo woo!) If we all would do the happy dance for each other on each opportunity, we would lose weight even faster! Happy happy dance dance.. woo woo
  21. Woot! Food day for you! How are you feeling now? Doing the happy dance for you
