  1. OMG.. lmao!.. Bet Dr. Ortiz did NOT sign those!
  2. Oh, man... stop that NOW.. you are defeating your band... ack.. stop now.. set the timer for one hour after you get up from the table and drink then. stop.. stop now.. warning, warning, Will Robinson... If you are dying of thirst.. suck on an ice chip to wet your mouth.
  3. Follow Cedar's example and go buy a new belt (or use one that fits now.) Instead of weighting, check the holes in your belt and watch the belt get smaller and smaller. Now THAT is emotionally satisfying! Hmm.. need to pull out a belt for me to do that, too.
  4. ABSOLUTELY RIGHT! Get your spouse to hide your scales if you cannot stay away from them. It is emotionally defeating to weigh yourself so many times in one day.
  5. Mine, too. If you already have the band, you know most of the first part of the book. I liked it...
  6. You were great company, and I learned so much from you. Thank you for making my trip even nicer.
  7. You are right, Julie. This topic WAS closed.
  8. Lordee, you made me starving! Cooked like you have described it, it should be no problem.
  9. Put borax on your carpets and sweep sweep sweep until it disappears. It dries out an insect's body and will help control the flea problem.
  10. I know that many people would not choose milkshakes for their liquid stage, but according to Dr. M, they are perfectly acceptable. Anything you can suck through a straw is acceptable. The clinic has reitterated over and over that the liquid stage is NOT for losing weight, but for healing your stomach. I am a weight loss addict, so I would never do that, but I did make plenty of protein shake smoothies. Yum!
  11. How are you doing? Hope to meet you again someday. It was fun.
  12. I never did see you at the clinic. :lb12: How are you doing?
  13. He said that a stretched esophogas cannot be observed without flouro, and that if I had gotten a "blind fill" that my pouch would be so stretched by the time they caught it that I would be eating as much as I had been before. The same rules that Dr. Miranda gave in her packet.. the same ones on the magnet you were given at your first fill.. I can't remember them right now.. still brain fogged from flying yesterday.. wait.. here is the posting.. http://www.lapbandforum.com/index.php?show...53&hl=rules Dr. Marco firmly told me to chew each bite 25 times, and to break most of my larger pills in two before taking them. <shakes my finger at you, laughing,> It is better to be a peace maker, girlfriend... Hugs..
  14. My first significant nsv was on the way to TJ this past Tuesday. I sat down, already feeling anxious because I was going to have to ask for the seat belt extension, and the belt fit and snapped right into place. Not only that, but there was about 3 inches of slack. I did the happy dance in my seat.
  15. You need to read the poop thread.. lol.. no kidding. http://www.lapbandforum.com/index.php?show...520&hl=poop
  16. Dr. Miranda told me that at this stage you can drink anything that you could drink through a straw. If your soup blends up and you could suck it through a straw, you can have it.
  17. That might account for your brain damage. >
  18. Oooh.. Dr. Marco told me NOT to drink water.. that drinking after getting plugged up would just cause you to pb it all back up. He said walking would be the most productive thing to get rid of it.
  19. The bracelet is SUCH a good idea. I will be out to get one and 3 charms the first day after I get over the soreness and exhaustion from the flights there and back.
  20. There are no dumb questions except the ones you don't ask.
  21. Phazyme works better than gas-x. You can find it over the counter at any drugstore (or grocery store) in the heartburn/gas/laxative section.
