Well,I would first like to say......the band is the Bomb! =D> Don't listen to every thing you hear.... ..."oh, you will never be able to gat meat again" " that is going to get stuck" I had salmon and crab legs and a salad....portions were so small, it scared even me. Nothing got stuck! I ate untill I got satified and left it alone. I waited an hour and drank a viamin water, by the way they are sooooooooooooo good! Since having the band I have no desire to snack! Small portions seem automactic! I'm so happy that I'm not the kind of person that is spook out about everything I hear. Everyone is different! Quantinia (my band) she is all about business! No time to waste ,no time to fear about what ifs....lets make this happen. We paid for an expensive appetite suppressant! So let's use! Look forwad to eating solids and get busy with allowing the band to do what you hired it to do! Be Blessed >

Well. Ladies, I started solids today and .....it was really exciting! =D> Here is why. You have a tool and this is when your tool starts helping. First and for most ...you can not believe what everyone else says about what they experienced when they started solids. I had chicken and mash potatoes. The chicken was cut up really fine, a vey small amount and the some with the mash pottatoes. I ate slow and cheeeeeeewed! It went down fine and I was full. Remember, that the band will help you...cause it's your food guide! > Overeat and see how you feel....it's a bad feeling. I learned that quick, you will quickly know how to stick with 4 oz. The key is you have limited amount of space.......and you can drink to get full or eat to get full. Eating solids is fun because you get a chance to see the band in action. =D> We have to STOP being afraid of everything.......Either we believe the Lord or we fight this demon for the rest of our lives..........I plan with the Lord's help and prayer to use this tool to help me go the next level. LADIES GET YOUR FORKS AND SPOONS OUT AND EAT, AND LEARN YOUR BANDS AND LOSE THE WEIGHT! God 4 Us!

Yep...they tried to clown me like that .... the yelling and hollering .but the Lord fixed that. He provides the funds to get the job done! Keep your chin up, they have other places Im sure that will gladly give you a loan! Dream happy....stay happy! You just have to decide that the cookies STOP HERE AND MEAN IT. Take a deep breath......and tell your self. Cookies were good, now I have to move from this spot and move on. :-h Ok so I blew it, I have to get down the road and just don't look back. The best cure for sugar craving is protien. Eat your meats and other protiens and no sugars and within hours you should stop craving the cookies! Hope that helps! And say a pray will ya! Monet <' />

Jetdeck, Great! I Have the same instructions..........never had sooooooooooooooooooo much trouble! I figured out early on that milk products may irritate the new stomach, at this phase! But you do what you have to. You will figure it out......I'm sure. After all the band is there to stay! Your food friend for life! Hope you feel better Blessings >

Ok, here we go! :-? Your first week still should be clear broth! :-? Yogurt this early will cause gas and bloating! #-o creamy soups are for your second week! :-? Milk products with the band this early is not a good combo! #-o DO NOT TAKE A LAXATIVE......NOT BAND INTERACTIVE! Try suppositories...read the post CONSTIPATED ANYONE! =D> Also, you really need to read the posts, you will not believe all of YOUR issues have been address already! =D> Sound harsh uh? ......Not....... you just had surgery and this is HEALING TIME........ENJOY THE GAS....CAUSE MORE OF IT IS COMING.....ADJUSTMENTS & COMPLIMENTS OF THE BAND! Last but not least, we all have been there....this will pass just watch what is going in! > Keep your chin up!

Girls, every body is different. Did I get hungry??? Yes!!!!! Starving......, I felt like that about a week an half out. It happens....Now watch this! If you put something in your mouth...go ahead chew it up....good uh? BAM!!!!!! your band will check you and all of a sudden your uncomfortable! That did not feel good at all....dont' want to do that again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now you see the band in action. Work it out....journal and get through it! You said you were starving...I take it your hungry , right? Then sip some more. (unlimited siping) I did slim fast and it helped me. I did taste some mash potatoes 2 weeks out.......no good, band not ready.. Remember we have a tool...a friend. That's why you should give him or her a name....just saying. You will be just fine. Learn your band, it's your food companion! God is 4 Us >

Ok, So now we are banded right? Everyone knows....... at least the ones we told.........but the weight is slow and may not be noticable to others? Ok, so now I have to explain to others that this is not gastric by-pass and the weight is slower! This is a process......will not happen over night and we have to be patient. That is the hard part for me. Explaining...... that I'm going to BE losing weight soon......... Frustrated.....I must say! Older bandsters we need some help right through here. All hands on deck bandsters we newbies need some encouragement! God is still on our side >

I think we are all soooooo ready to see the pounds move that 1lb gained is a big issue, I feel you. Like Cylnn stated if we allow our minds to go there.......were in trouble. We have to be patient and not rush things. This is not the gastric by-pass and we will not see weight just fall off......atleast that's my story! But...... trust me!!!! M, Don't be afraid! Your band is your friend! Have you named it yet? I want to address the fear. Fear is being afraid of something that has not happen yet and may not happen! Go on You tube and type in lapband fills....you can watch people going in on video for their first fills....it's exciting! I know you trust the Lord right?.......Your in good hands! =D> Be Blessed God is 4 You >
