  1. OH MY GOD, YEAH MY BANDBUDDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good for you!!!!!!!!
  2. Hi Jena!! I'm good, you? Got good restriction? I do, yeah! In fact, I am sitting here trying to eat a piece of egg and thinking I should have made that protein shake this morning INSTEAD of hitting the snooze button again. GRRRRR Thanks for the info. Where do you go to sign up for these? Did someone say the Fill Centers site?
  3. YEAH FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. I just love your posts and your sense of humor Cara!!! You're a nut and I l just love nuts, LOL!!!!! I too, am the big chef on this day and cook for everyone. Takes me all day and then we eat at 6. Usually, by then I am tired and sick of all the hecticity that I don't even care to eat. Plus, now that I have restriction, I am sure I will be ok! But, darn, that incredible stuffing will be difficult to pass up!
  5. heeheehee whats your address?
  6. That sounds delicious!!!!!!!!!!
  7. What kind is the GNC stuff you have? Maybe if it is the one I like, I'd buy it from you!
  8. Lots of people cannot eat shredded chicken. Especially if it is dry. If you can get toast and crackers down, that doesn't automatically mean you are too tight. If all you could get down was liquid, then yes you would definitely be too tight. Have you tried some tiny bites of tuna? How about trying some tiny bites of a hard boiled egg. It's seems odd to me that you can get toast and crackers down when those are usually the things that can get you blocked up so that doesn't sound too tight if that fits down there easily. If you have been vomitting a lot, you are probably very swollen in there and you most likely need to go on a liquid diet for a few days to settle things down. Thats usually what they advise you after a lot of vomitting. Maybe a piece of that chicken just got stuck in there and it's still trying to come back up. I would definitely do liquids for a few days.
  9. Try not to stress yourself out too much, that won't help. Just make sure to THINK yourself into losing weight. You know, like, I WILL LOSE WEIGHT!
  10. Could also be that your band tightened up too much. That can happen if you are really under a lot of stress. If it keeps up, I would make an appointment to get a slight unfull to make sure you don't stretch your pouch.
  11. I would be so fantastic for you both to do this together!! Is there any way you can get a loan for the money? A 401k perhaps, if you have one. That is wonderful you are so supportive and I can't wait for your daughter to be banded, and then you next!!!!
  12. Just make sure to get regular fills and you will be fine. The only reason it took me so long to reach restriction is because I have the larger VG band and it took 9.2 cc's for me to reach restriction. But don't worry, it's very very rare for a gal to have get the VG band.
  13. It's just your turn for the dreaded plateau phase. Don't worry, it will pass. Just look at me, I've been on a plateau for 6 months!!!!!
  14. A lot of people who have restriction cannot eat in the morning, me included. I am very tight and nothing but liquid will fit. So a lot of bandsters, again, me included, have a protein shake for breakfast. Sometimes, I have to have one for lunch too. But by supper time, that ole band is wide open for me and I can finally eat solids.
  15. How about GNC 100% whey protein choclate caramel or cookies and cream, MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM You will think you are in heaven. BUT make with 1% milk and double the scoops or it tastes nasty. OH MY GOD, I could live on that stuff. Keep me full for hours and hours. And helps you lose weight!
  16. Have a great time at Disney!! I was at DisneyWorld a month ago myself. Had the best time. And good luck with banding, you'll do fantastic!! Can't believe the time is finally here for you!
  17. Wow, I DO remember the nightmare you had. I sure hope it is an easy fix for you and I sure as heck hope you don't have to pay for it. I wish you the best of luck and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers for simple and quick recovery!!!
  18. Thanks Dana, I was wondering about it too!
  19. Good for you!! I bet the wait was horrible wasn't it? But, here it is, not much longer. How terribly exciting for you! I can't wait til you are done and a bandster, you've waited long enough!!!!
  20. I'd say quite a while! 3 months maybe, but Dolittle is right, ask the doctor!
  21. Glad everything worked out well and that you are all safe and home and BANDED, YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. I LOVE RESTRICTION!!!!!! Yup, still got it! Although I will admit it has settled down a bit and I could use another poke. But for the most part, I LOVE NOT BEING ABLE TO EAT MUCH! It feel like a battle I have been waging for most of my life and I have now begun to conquer. Don't get me wrong, I can still cram a half gallon of ice cream down my throat, but I just don't want to anymore. Anyway, I still refuse to step on the scale. Not only am I trying to get over my scale obsession, I get too upset to see it stay the same. So, after my last WONDERFUL fill, I decided NOT to get on that darn monster until my next visit which is on December 2nd. But...............I bought a new pair of pants, size 24 100% cotton, washed them and even dried them and they are TOO BIG! I was in a 28 start, but after going through my closet and trying on all my old 24's and even this new pair, and seeing how big they were, I can confidently say that I am in a solid size 22! I can't believe after all these months IT IS FINALLY WORKING!!!!!!!!! Ok, so it's not a huge loss yet, but for me, IT IS HUGE! I was SOOOOOOO losing hope. It seems like these past 4 weeks since I have had true restriction, it didn't seem to be any feeling of loss. It must have been one of those overnight miracles, but my 24's are falling off my big ole butt today! And my bras? Forget it. I HAVE to go get some new ones, thats all there is to it. And I took a 4 mile walk over my lunch break at work in 40 degree weather! Got to get all the walking in I can before we get too cold here. Snow is expected this week. Not that I mind walking in snow, but where I live I am surrounded by open fields and we are marooned quite often here with house high drifts. Can't really walk in that. So, for today, I AM HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. You know yourself and your body Stormy. A doctor isn't God. If you KNOW you are feeling horrible after he told you to change the dose, then call him and tell him you are not happy with his recommendation. I would never assume that my doctor was the sole decison maker in my healthcare. I am a part of that decision and never ever rely on his advice 100% of the time. Doctors make mistakes too, we are all human. So, if you aren't don't feel right then you know he was wrong and you need to get back on track with whatever makes YOU feel right. Julie has some VERY good advice in her post and I have to agree that weight loss and banding really wouldn't change the chemical compound in your brain, especially not his early on, so to decrease your meds, seems kind of strange at this point. I'd give him a call ASAP and tell him how you are feeling.
  24. First, the violence is drug and gang related and rarely if ever are regular people on the street caught up in any of it. There is no more violence there than anywhere else in the world. Google your own hometown and you wil see just as much. Tijuana has always gotten a bad rap that they can't seem to get rid of. That being said, I was there 3 times this year. March, May and June. Never saw any problems anywhere and we walked all over the place. We walked from the OCC to the hotel, the mall the movies everywhere. We just didn't go out after dark. If you are that afraid, just don't ever leave the hotel except for the surgery. I can promise you that the you will be taken care of very well by the hotel staff.
