You don't need it at the hotel unless you want them to activate your phone so you can make calls, then they require a credit card on file. SJ

Wanted to share a website that I love and it's free! SJ

When I went I took a suitcase that was carry on size with wheels... packed toiletries, pj's, sweats, slippers, books and laptop. And carried a small purse, that was it. If you have someone going with you who can haul your stuff then you don't have to pack so lightly. But there are several occasions before and after surgery that you will be carrying luggage yourself. SJ

Hey...I'm from Huntsville, Alabama! I know you are excited, I remember when it was a week before mine I felt like I was going to jump out of my skin! SJ

I packed lightly in a carry on roller suitcase with laptop inside. At security you have to take laptop out and run it through conveyor in its own tray then pack it back up and your on your way. SJ

Michelle, Funny post! I've been thinking about all these things since nobody knows I have been banded... I'm trying to figure out how I'm even going to eat in front of anybody, now I'll really become even more of a closet eater...lol!! Just like everything worth achieving in life...there is always a little give and take and adjustments to make. SJ

I went alone and actually enjoyed not having to feel responsible for another person. However, I'm the type that when I'm sick I want to be left alone. SJ

I've had no problems taking pills, I take one large and one small one every day at the same time. SJ

You can bring a lap top, I had no problem with wireless internet in my room. There is also a little office alcove in the lobby with computers and a printer. I printed my online flight check in the night before I left. SJ

I agree DoLittle, as far as I'm concerned fluoro after a fill is a waste of time and money, plus they charge $165 for fill and $300 for fluoro. For that price I can fly to TJ, but dang it is a long flight! SJ

I called a Fill Center USA near me and was told that the doctor did the fill then you went to another facility for the floro after the fill. I thought fills and floro's occurred at the same time? SJ

From what I understand Martinez opens and sets trocars then Ortiz places the band and makes any additional repairs, then Martinez closes and places port, which must be why Ortiz says it takes him 7 minutes to do the surgery. Ask Lori she'll be able to tell you what you are scheduled for, it wouldn't surprise me if Martinez starts to take a more active role as it is inevitable that the practice will grow faster than Ortiz can handle alone. Martinez was more serious as Ortiz tends to clown around a bit, Martinez made me feel confident in his abilities. SJ

Cassie, I will say again that you are truly an inspiration, I'm so glad that you didn't have to go through high school as a heavy teenager, kids can be so cruel. And by the way you were a cute kid 4 years ago now you are a beautiful young lady. SJ

I also remember Dr Miranda saying that the reason they do not allow mushies is because it creates bad habits and that the stomach is meant for solid food. By the end of three weeks of liquids it has healed enough to go for it! Can you tell I'm ready!!!!
