  1. YOU GO GIRL!!!! You are an amazing inspiration, Cathy!
  2. Thanks for the great ideas to both of you! I am so excited about our little trip. LOL We are staying at the Marriot (it is like .4 miles from the Airport) Does anyone know how far the E Center is from there? We rented a car so it shouldn't be a problem for us to get down there hopefully.
  3. Arlene~ We are flying in Saturday morning and flying out Sunday night so we won't be there long!
  4. I am married, so I don't date, however I am blown away by the attention I receive from men now. I used to be invisible when I walked into places, but now I hold my head up high and strut! LOL As you continue to lose weight, your self confidence will soar! It won't be long until women are coming up to you instead of you having to go to them. I would probably not mention the WLS until after I got to know the person really good and seen if things were gonna work out. That's just my opinion though.
  5. Lance and I will be flying in to Salt Lake City on November 15th. We got VIP Tix to meet NKOTB and see the concert there. It is a dream come true for me! Anyway, I just thought I would see if any of my friends on here live by there to give us some good ideas on what to do when we are there.
  6. You look FANTASTIC!!! You look awesome in those jeans sister!
  7. Ya'll are making me blush! Hehe I wore the skirt to the concert after ya'll told me to show my legs off. It's a shame Donnie didn't get to see them! LOL
  8. Cathy~ LMAO! It did get a little wild on Bourbon St. but I didn't take my camera for fear of losing it! LOL Thanks to everyone for the sweet comments. I felt very beautiful that night..
  9. Dang girl! You have your stuff together..I can't think of anything to add! Good luck!
  10. Hey strangers!! LOL I had such an awesome weekend that I just had to share a few pics. Friday night I went to see Papa Roach/Staind/Seether and it was an awesome concert! We loaded up Friday to New Orleans to see my teenage crushes, New Kids on the Block! It was one of the best nights of my life! The concert was flawless and we had 4th row seats. Donnie was always my fave and he told me 5 times that he loved me! I could have died right then and there. Of course now my old crush is back and my hubby thinks I am crazy! LOL I took about 200 pics at the concert and they are on my myspace if anyone wants to see them. Me and Lance on the way to NKOTB:
  11. Thanks for all the comments! I am so glad this is working. Jude~ I really don't make anything different than I used to. For breakfast I have 2 slices of bacon (eggs don't go down well for me) For lunch I usually have a green salad with ranch dressing, snacks are a stick of cheese or a beef jerkey, dinner usually consists of a chicken breast or pork chop with green beans. It is very easy to follow since I can't tolerate bread anyway!
  12. Hey! I hope you get good restriction with your fill this time. It helps so much! It sounds like you are right on track. I am losing again!! I have lost 5 lbs this week doing the low carb thing! I hit 170 today which means I have lost 70 lbs since March! I am on cloud 9... I knew I was getting in way too many carbs and this diet is perfect for me right now since I can't eat bread anyway. My downfall was snacking on some chips here and some crackers there. Now that I have cut that out and I am eating lots of lean protein those scales are moving on down! I feel great!
  13. Jann~Bless your heart!!!! I live like ten minutes from Mobile, AL! I do all my shopping there. By the way..I love liver and oysters! I like raw oysters better than anything..with a cracker and some hot sauce..yuuuuuummmy!!
  14. Learning how to eat again is an ongoing process for me as well. My eyes are still bigger than my stomach. I think I have finally realized 6 months into it how to eat.
  15. Thanks Dolittle for all the info! LMAO I will go see what I can find! Hahaha
  16. Congratulations!! That was a huge milestone for me as well!
  17. The Biggest Loser DVD's are great! The trainers from the show walk you through each step and they are wonderful for beginners. My favorite is the Cardio one.
  18. Oh man Julie..that would really bother me too. I don't blame you one bit for feeling the way you do. I called the OCC twice after my surgery. Both times I was still on liquids and not keeping them down. I was pretty lucky because both times Dr. Martinez returned my calls within 30 mins. If noone had called me back, I would have been pissed!
  19. I also agree! Somedays I can eat bread and other days I can't.
  20. Julie~ I hear ya girl! I am not quite as addicted as I used to be, but I still like to get on a few times a day and check the posts then get off. Jude~The Wii Fit is a game you play on your Wii that is an exercise program. It is really fun and helps you get into shape. Alot of us here use it to get our exercise in.
  21. So true Evette! I just know that was working for me before has stopped working and it is making me crazy to see the scales go up and down, up and down. Even though I am not eating too many calories, I think I am getting way too many carbs in which is keeping me from losing. I am still gonna eat some carbs, but for instance for a snack I usually have an oats n honey granola bar or a cup of popcorn. I am changing that to a beef jerkey stick or a hunk of cheese. I am just very excited to see if this is gonna work. The hardest part for me would be no bread, but since I can't eat bread now I think this will be perfect.
  22. Lance is a tall guy at 6'4". He weighed 305 at surgery and now he is around 250 (I don't know exactly) but he is so tall and thin now!!
  23. I wanted ya'll to see Lance the day we had surgery. We rarely get to see any men transformations on here! LOL Here we are at the Lucerna: Lance is the third from left and I am on the end. Here we are now: Here is one of Lance by himself:
