  3. I am so glad everything went well. Thank Goodness you were still in Mexico to have the heamtoma fixed. Isn't Dr. Martinez so sweet? I just love him. Welcome to bandland!
  4. I always gulped tea and water and it was a huge adjustment to stop. Everyone is different, but if I did more than sip during the first week I would get sick. I could nurse a 16oz bottle of water all day long!
  5. You have a very long walk to get back across the border to the USA so be careful with packing. I kept my carry on almost empty so I could put stuff in it that I bought in Mexico and San Diego. I wore my rings and kept them in my luggage while I was in surgery. I felt very safe with them being in there.
  6. I am not going back to the OCC because of the lengthy flight and cost. I am seeing a Bariatric surgeon where I live.
  7. Oh my goodness! That sucks that your surgery is postponed, but thank goodness you found out!

  13. Uh-Oh! I believe most of my swelling is gone and I am more and more tempted to eat everyday. I wonder why we can't have mushy foods if we can tolerate them? To teach us self-discipline I am figuring. I hope I can make it until next Friday to eat. That is a long way off.
  14. Paula, the good thing is we all have a weight problem or we wouldn't be here. I hate pics of myself too. Ugh!
  15. Yes, I believe it is because you are only drinking liquids so your bowels are very loose. Once you start solid food, it should go away. >

  18. My Mom's Homemade Creamy Potato Soup (or Cream of Broccoli) 6 potatoes 1 stick of I can't believe it's not butter 1/2 cup chopped onion 1/2 tsp salt (optional) 1/4 tsp pepper (optional) 2 cups Chicken Broth 2 cups fat free (or skim) milk 1/2 cup flour 1 can cream of chicken Slice 6 potatoes thin, and boil in pot until done. Drain them and take a fork and mash them up as thin as you want them. In another pot, melt 1 stick of butter, chop onions very thin and saute in butter until onions are done. Add 1/2 cup flour (and salt and pepper if you want) into butter and onions until blended. Add 1 can cream of chicken soup, 2 cans water, 2 cups chicken broth, and 2 cups milk-whisk often so it won't burn. Cook on Low/Med. Add mashed potatoes, with wire whisk blend well..Cook about 10 minutes. You can add more milk if it is too thick. If you would rather have the broccoli version, just add a 16 oz package of frozen broccoli instead of the potatoes. This makes a huge pot of soup..I eat it for days!
  19. Good going! I can't wait..only 10 more days. LOL
  20. Sorry I haven't read this post! I will ask my Mom for the recipe tomorrow. >
