    Oh Clynn..that is without fluoro. I would love to go back to Mexico, but with two small kids and such a costly flight it may be more trouble than it's worth, you know?

    I had already found one local Dr. to do my fills for $1500/year, but today I decided to call around the local bigger cities (Mobile, AL..New Orleans, LA) and they all said they wouldn't touch anyone banded in Mexico. They said too many people have way too many problems. I just wonder where these people are going with all these problems since none of you seem to have any. I am so freaking nervous.

    How much are fills at the OCC? It seems like by the time we buy plane tickets and a hotel room there that it would be way too expensive. How exactly does that work out?

    mona-camille~ I cut out all caffeine..no snacking..and have a shake in the morning, lean cuisine at lunch, and a small dinner. (like a child's plate) It seems to be working so far. Of course I have had success in the past dieting like this only to gain it back within a year which is why I need this band! Good luck..I am here if you need to chat or need support. >

    I am really worried to wait until 12 days before my surgery to lose the 10-12 lbs I need to lose. I have already started cutting back and I have lost 6 lbs! I am really happy about it. It is amazing how just a small amount of weight loss boosts your self esteem. Gosh how will I feel when I have lost 50 lbs? I will be crazy with happiness!

    I am a true southerner and LOVE my sweet tea. Today I bought some Crystal Light tea and it is sooo good! Just thought I would share in case anyone loved iced tea like me.

    Hello! Good luck on your journey! I am so excited for you! I also had low progesterone and it was causing me lose every pregnancy I had until I realized it and was put on progesterone. I am also getting my lap band on March 28th. Is Dr. Martinez doing yours?

    clynn~ I am sure everyone here realizes that they can't give or get medical advice from this forum, however sometimes we are just asking for your "experience" with a situtaion. It helps so much to hear from people, such as yourself, that have already been through the surgery.

    I am not sure, hopefully someone will know. As for the Nexium, I read in Dr. Ortiz book that you can throw them out because this surgery heals acid reflux. I am looking forward to that! I have been on Prilosec for about 7 years.

    I am not worried about the surgery either, mainly the flight! I haven't flown since I was 17 years old! I am also leaving my two beautiful babies at home with my Mom and I have never left them. Brady is 3 and Bella is 1 1/2. I hope I do well!

    My surgery is March 28th and I was told to lose 10-12 lbs. I am scared to wait until 12 days pre-op to do the diet too. I started it this morning and am hoping I can get the weight off that they want me to. I also am a smoker so this is gonna be very tough to say the least. I am right there with you! >
