  1. Yay Ute Hope your fill is great! Can you send me a private message and let me know how much total your first visit was, I'm trying to get a number of how much I will have to pay for a first visit, fill and fluro. Thanks!
  2. You're the bomb Anita - great information. Reminds me that I need to give up soft foods (mashed potatoes), junk foods (chips), etc. Going to test it today - chicken, carrots and sugar snap peas... after my weekend from hell
  3. I heard that some people (very few) have restriction immediately after surgery and prior to their first fill. That was not the case for me. I ate very little the first three weeks after surgery but then - hello - I was hungry all the time and probably (tho I did not test it) could have eaten just as much as I did before surgery. My first fill was 5/17 and sad to say, I may be ready for another one. When all the swelling goes down after surgery, then you should know where you're really at.
  4. WillT, Darlin......... I'm afraid I could not even begin to compete with your graphic description, so I'll have to take the easy way out and say that I have not experienced PBing ... yet! That is what you were asking me when you said "How do yours feel," right?
  5. Lots of Luck Heidi :) Can't wait to read your story!
  6. Did you have to be so graphic????????????????
  7. This sounds like a nice food menu for after you have been banded (and are not on liquids). I'd say eating like that, you're going to be thin
  8. Buy some Diet Snapple and use the bottles for your oil lamps
  9. Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We're happy for you!
  10. the low carb ones are low calorie.... they are called FUZE SLENDERIZE ..... the cap says low car about it. Keep looking you will find them!
  11. Jena, If you make the oil lamps with [a] FUZE, take a photo and post it!!!!
  12. Welcome to the forum.....

    come out and play!

  13. And you can recycle the glass bottles: Oil Lamps - all you need for oil lamps is the following: Wick - regular lantern style/oil lamp wicks purchased at WalMart in packets of 3 are fine.Buy the thinnest wicks you can find. Lamp oil - frangranced is best but if you can't find a great smelling one.. it's not a real big deal. Snapple, FUZE, or any glass bottle with a metal lid. All you do is fill the bottle most of the way with the lamp oil. Put a slit (we used a chisel and hammer to get a slit) in the lid but be sure the slit is not quite as wide as the wicks so the wick won't slip down into the bottle. Slide the wick thru the slit leaving a very short amount sticking out of the top of the lid. Place the lid firmly onto the top of the bottle. These make great patio lights, camp lights or kitchen table lamps! Drink up and light up (as you lighten up
  14. Okay I found a great tasting alternative to soda! I think part of our addiction is carrying around the soda bottle/can with us wherever we go: to work, to a friend's house, for a ride in the car, from our kitchen to our patio. Bad habits. It feels good in our hand. It also seems cooler to pop drinkers to order a soda at a restaurant verses ordering a boring water with a slice of lemon. OK, so I discovered a new drink. FUZE Healthy Infusions!!!! You can find it in a soda cooler or in your grocery store near the orange juice. They come in 18 oz. glass bottles. The one I tried today is Low Carb Slenderize Strawberry Melon. 20 calories per 18 ounces and 2 grams of sugar. This is our answer to not drinking high calorie drinks. And the bottle feels good in my hand! There are other flavors. Has to be one you will enjoy. Check it out: http://www.drinkfuze.com/ If someone has already suggested this on the forum, good suggestion and sorry I missed it. Anywho, ya gotta try it.

  17. WillT, Sometimes buddy, life just sucks!!!!! Since you're looking mighty dapper these days, do not give into the fudge ripple ice cream!!!! Say no to greasy food (except McDonalds' french fries with lotsa ketchup once a month!). You're doing great so keep up the good work. Your gal pals here are counting on you!!!
  18. Neeters you are the bomb :) Get sipping that so up girl!

  19. My medical insurance would not cover my lap band surgery. It has an exclusion for weight loss surgery and ANY COMPLICATIONS RELATED THERETO. So, I am aware that should I have any problems as a result of my lap band being placed, I will have to pay the charges. With regard to your hernia repair, consider getting a copy of your O.R. report and see if you had a Kugel Mesh Patch, get the Lot No and see if it's been recalled. There's a big Kugel Mesh Patch class action out there. Once you have that information, consider contacting one of the attorneys you google "Kugel Mesh Patch class action."
  20. You are just a normal reverse burper ... <burp>
