  1. Get back on the wagon sistah! No more cheating ... you can stick to the post op diet!!!!!!!!
  2. Are your clothes fitting better? Are you eating enough calories/protien? Are you eating salty things? Are you snacking? Are you drinking with your meals? Are you exercising? Are you tired of me asking you stupid questions? Do you know that I luff ya?
  3. Also be careful using pay pal - aren't you still using a credit card? If so, you'll have the credit card service fee. And as far as TV, who had time to watch TV???
  4. Amber, you're doing great :) Great photos!!!! Looks like you're having way too much fun
  5. Hiya Cat! Two more weeks and we'll be full of .. :)

  6. I have no clue ..... maybe it all comes down to how many are scheduled a day and if they have a slot open and how bad they want to fill that spot? I am clueless. I appreciated their telling me about the semi private room and offering me the discount. <whisper> Call Lori!
  7. Aha! Now I'll be able to recognize you when I see you in Tijuana ;)

  8. Augie where are you :)

  9. Lisa, you've done great with your weight loss ;:) Kudos!!!

Your advice and experience is so welcome!!

    Thanks!

  10. Monet, Restriction to me is something I don't have
  11. Dr. Miranda said to eat your protien first, then your veggies, and then your carbs.
  12. Arlene, Please break it down and provide samples Thanks!
  13. I was told that if I paid the whole fee at one time via credit card that they would not charge me the credit card fee. THis was no big deal - instead of paying the deposit and two weeks later paying the balance, it sounded fair to me. My husband paid the card off at the first bill, so we had no interest either. I also saved $500 off of the surgery because I was offered a semi private room. Call Lori and ask her to help you calculate what your charges are, what you owe, etc. She's great!
  14. I asked this question just yesterday to a successful bandster and who is still losing weight. She said that she normally has a fruit smoothie for breakfast or 1/2 yogurt. For lunch that day she had 1 taco. For dinner she had the toppings off one slice of pizza. She said that she would have an orange later on. And that she tries to eat between 800-1200 calories per day and eat her protien first. I told my husband that I can't wait to go out to eat with him and eat 1 of his green beans and 1 of his chicken tenders
  15. Augie, wow .... we all love the OCC, the surgeons, the nurses, and the patient coordinators~ We enjoyed our stay at the hotel, our visit to Tijuana, and meeting new friends. There is so much information on the forum where people write immediately after their surgery that outlines their experience. It was helpful for me to read all those posts to help me prepare for my surgery. I also wrote about my experience after my April 4th surgery. My whole experience with going to Tijuana, having lap band surgery, and post op has been great. I'm now eating solid foods and am scheduled for my first fill mid-May. Read all the posts by patients after their banding - read all that you can - they will put your mind to ease
  16. Brook, Centrum now has a liquid multivitamin and it's not bad. That's what I started using a couple days after my surgery and have been using it ever since. You might try it.
  17. Surgery was easy and non eventful basically. Everyone was wonderful. Just like the forum says! :)

  18. WELCOME TO THE FORUM DANI :)

  19. It's not like we were there very long Surgery and then out of surgery around 4:30 p.m., alseep til around midnight, walked the halls for a while, and then up at 6:00 a.m. and out of the clinic by 8:00 a.m.! Who had time to be fashionable Now we did have a lot of time PRE SURGERY but I believe we were required to remain in the gowns and paper panties!
  20. Hi Claire, I was banded 4/4 and have had about the same luck with weight loss after my banding as you have had. I lost 18 lbs. on the pre op diet and only about 6 or 8 pounds since. Scales usually reflect 6. I feel that I've made good choices and haven't went crazy with anything but am not reflecting the same weight loss as others (someone lost 35 lbs in two weeks after banding ... MY GAWD). So.... The important things to remember are: 1. We're losing. 2. We will be going for our first fill. 3. We're new at this. 4. The scales lie because I've been asked - WOW how much weight have you lost?? I tell them "one pound, 2 ounces!" :) 5. We are going to be thinner!!!!
