  1. Wow, that's amazing!! Did you buy the dress, it's very nice? I find the scale can be a downer at times, it's trying on clothes that I couldn't wear before and now I can, that keep me motivated!!! Good for you!!!
  2. Very nice picture..you are beautiful!! Congrats on your decision and I look forward to seeing more pictures of your transformation!!
  3. Unbelievable...you look amazing!!!! Hot Mama!!! Keep up the great work!!
  4. Oh yes, I miss Diet Coke, Diet Coke and more Diet Coke too...and drinking it while eating!!!
  5. Good for you!!! I had a hard time with pizza without a fill...it went down fine, but I chewed my face off and by the time I got through 4 bites, I had had enough and decided it wasn't worth it!! No more pizza for me...not one of my favourites anyway!
  6. Oh my, you have been through the ringer, haven't you..wish I could come down and give you a big hug!!! I hope being home with help you get some needed rest and relaxation. Take care > >
  7. Thanks for the info, very informative. I have alot of 80-100 calorie type foods as well, sugar-free pudding, yogurt, granola bars, fudgecicles...these are my snacks...and so far so good!!!
  8. I was tired and sore in the port area...I move pretty slow for a few days and really didn't feel like drinking much, but you need to, to keep up your strength and avoid dehydration. Gas pains subsided after 3-4 days...the shoulder pain is the worst and subsided after a day. By day 4, I was feeling alot better and returned to work on day 6. Everyone recovers at different rates and stages...some were up and shopping the next day, some down for 3-4 days, it depends on you and how quickly you recover. The time flies by so fast, if you blink it's over and done with. I have been banded for almost 7 weeks now and it's a blurrr, even though June 10th was not that long ago. I feel amazing now, down 35 lbs, my breathing has improved and I have more energy...my sciatica (radiating back pain) is almost gone and I am starting to exercise more. Life is good!
  9. Congrats and welcome to bandland!!!! Feel better soon!!!
  10. Wow, can you come over and cook for me???!!! That sound amazing and good for you only eating a little!! I also find it hard when you have plate full of delicious food and can only eat a little...you want more, but your body is telling you, you can't!! I guess that's when the willpower kicks in!
  11. Hi there, no you cannot feel the band. You may feel internal discomfort from your stomach and liver being moved during surgery, but it passes after a few days. Swallowing is difficult after surgery because of intebation (tube down your throat during surgery), once you are permitted to drink a little water or suck on ice...it passes very quickly. If you have any other questions or concerns, just ask!!
  12. Congrats on making the decision to get healthy!!! If you have any questions at all, look here, or ask, we are always here to help!!!
  13. Wow, that's amazing....I can't wait to get there too!!!
  14. I think you may be worrying for nothing...it would take alot for your port to flip...it's sewn to your stomach muscle. Although it does happen, no sense worrying until you see the doctor. Stretching your pouch takes alot of abuse...overeating sometimes will happen, but if haven't had any PBing episodes, I am sure you are just fine. Concentrate on getting back on track and you will be just fine. Good luck with your fill!! >
  15. OMG!! Is this normal? I feel hungry 24/7, even after I eat. I am sticking to the protein, veggie, grain, fruit plan, but I am always starving!!!! I didn't feel like this when I wasn't banded and ate less???
  16. No liquids cannot stretch your pouch, drink all you want!!! I was wondering the same thing because I drink alot of water, especially at night and my stomach felt so full, it hurt. I was told that liquids run right through into the large stomach area and will not effect your pouch or band.
  17. Children' cutlery can be found anywhere. I still have the small spoon and fork from when my kids were little.
  18. Hi Janet, I asked my surgeon and he said not to change my diet all, before or after. I guess every surgeon/fill professional have different instructions. Good Luck!
  19. OMG!!!! Do it...I would pay to come down to see that!!!!
  20. While you are healing, don't count calories or quantities..eat until you are full then stop...you need the vitamins and nutrients, so eat, eat, drink, drink...the time to watch calories and quantities is later. Best of luck with your recovery!
  21. I work with a girl like that too...she's only about 30 lbs lighter than me, big boobs and very curvy and she just expells confidence...and when she eyes a man, look out!! She is never lonely! LOL!!!
