  1. Welcome!!! You are making the right decision and if you have any questions at all, just ask! All the best Cathy
  2. Thanks MamaMichelle, I watched it last night and it doesn't take much to catch up on these reality shows. Cathy
  3. I mentioned that to my surgeon yesterday and mine is scar tissue from the incision, my port is actually located below my largest incision. Cathy
  4. Hey Mona, I would like more info about the pants, can you send me a personal message...thanks, Cathy
  5. Hi Mona, I sure hope she didn't miss your port...can you get your money back if there is no change? That's really interesting about bone, muscle and fat. I thought the same thing...I am 5 feet tall and should be 120 to be at my ideal...but my surgeon recommended 150...I am shooting for 140....if I make it to 150 and then have a tummy tuck, I will hit 140. Good luck!!! Cathy
  6. Good for you...I am sort of using the Weight Watchers plan...and eating protein and veggies...my surgeon recommended solid foods rather than mushy foods keep you full longer...so I am trying to avoid puddings and yogurts which slip right through. Enjoy your first solids tommorrow!!!! Cathy
  7. OMG Yes!! You look like a totally different person..you have done amazing!!! And your daughter is adorable! Cathy
  8. Thanks everyone! I have protein powder that I add to meals and that seems to cover the protein. I still have shakes left over from pre-op, so I guess if I need to have them on hand for PBing or fills, I am good. Cathy
  9. Just an observation, I see alot of you still having protein shakes, are you using these to replace your meals or along with your meals? My surgeon does not want me doing shakes unless for some reason I cannot eat. I can see first thing in the morning when the band is tight and you need something a shake is the best thing. I drank 4 shakes per day on pre-op for two weeks and swore I would never drink another one unless absolutely necessary. I am five weeks post op and haven't had one yet. Thanks Cathy
  10. Me either! I like the old guy Jerry and hope he lasts...but he can be manipulated by the younger guys, so he probably won't. Cathy
  11. I have tried watermelon and peach cubes packed in water (lunch cups) and apple sauce so far, I am not a big fruit eater...love strawberries. I am afraid to eat hard fruit incase it gets stuck, so I have opted to start on soft fruit for now. Cathy
  12. Oh yes sweetie, we do know and it's fantastic to eat solid food...I can enjoy steak and I love it! Eat lots of protein and veggies until your first fill and you will do fine. Cathy
  13. Yeh, that's alot of bread, and it's doughy...try a wrap with the works, it's just as good and less bread. Enjoy! Cathy
  14. WoW that went by fast!!! I had chicken fingers and cauliflower w/cheese and roasted potatoes...yum-my!! Enjoy! Cathy
  15. You can do it....if this is something you and your hubby want this bad, you can definitely make it work!!! Good Luck! Cathy
  16. I am happy not to be a part of that group just yet! Hope you feel better! Cathy
  17. No chow mein for breakfast!!! Sorry to hear you were sick....maybe your tummy needs more time in the morning. I wake up at 6:30 a.m. and don't eat until 8:30 a.m...and I have been okay. Take care Cathy >
  18. Vitamin C and lots of it...hope you feel better soon!! Cathy
  19. How are you feeling now? Are you still experiencing the pain? Cathy
  20. All the best!!! Let us know how you are doing! Cathy >
  21. That's fabulous, what a nice surprise!! The opposite happened to me...I went for a fill and ended up having a check up. I still have some restriction, so my surgeon said I am not ready for one yet. Good Luck! Cathy
