  1. Wendy's chili is the best, it was my saving grace when I couldn't handle creamy soups anymore!! I love it!!! And it's good for you too!!! Enjoy! Cathy
  2. Fabulous!! It's all about supporting one another through the good and the tough times!!! Cathy >
  3. Don't be disappointed or depressed...you can enjoy the holidays in other ways. You can still have a drink or some good food, just less of it. This is your new life now sweetie...although the adjustment is getting used to it, you can do it!! I just got back from a few days away up north at Kawartha Lakes and it was very difficult to chose lunch and dinners at the restaurants, especially because I am still on mushy food stage (canadian diet plan). I chose pasta and soft foods, they were good, I enjoyed them, couldn't eat much, wanted more, but couldn't. It's psychological, mind over matter!! Try to enjoy yourself, celebrate yourself and your decision!! Happy Independence Day!!! Cathy
  4. You are doing so amazing, try not to get frustrated, your body is just getting used to it's smaller size before it moves on. Try the measuring tape. I measure once a week to see the changes, it's a great inspiration as well! Cathy =D>
  5. Fabulous as usual!!! You are doing so fantastic!!! When people ask me about before and after pics...I always show them your transformation and tell them, this is what lapband can do for you!! So proud of you!!! Cathy
  6. I am so happy your finally where you need to be to show your family up!!!LOL!! One month from today..we want to see some pics, deal? Take care Cathy
  7. Congratulations!! Feel better soon and let us know how you are doing! Cathy
  8. I was told nothing over 20 lbs for 6 weeks....leave the 50 lbs boxes until you are at least 4 weeks post op...I wouldn't want you to hurt yourself! Email OCC, I am sure they can answer this for you! Good Luck Cathy
  9. There are no dumb questions..and that's a good one. I am on mushy foods right now and eat cold cereal, but don't drink the left over milk. Maybe one of the other girls can give you a more informed answer??? Good luck! Cathy
  10. Mona-Camille, I am so happy that you finally have restriction and are back on your way to your goal. I am sure the frustration and depression was getting to you and now you can put it behind you and show us some hot pics!!! Take care, Cathy
  11. Don't stress about that, you are fine on creamy soups. I am on mushy foods now, like mashed potatoes, chunky soups and tuna salad and they are going down fine. Chew chew chew. My surgeon told me the band is quite open until your fills, so anything considered liquid won't hurt you at all. Good luck and try not to worry about food. I was the same way, afraid to try anything, your body will tell you what it doesn't want. Take care Cathy
  12. Sorry hear about your fill trouble. Mine is booked for July 16th...and I still have restriction from surgery...they still want to see me at the clinic that day. How do you tell when the restriction is gone? It's takes more food to get full? No feeling of being full? Take care, eat healthy and keep strong! Cathy
  13. You made it!!! Good for you! What are you doing up at 7 a.m. on a holiday? Silly girl!!! The feeling you have is that lump in your throat from being full...it's normal and fades over time. Don't try to eat anything while it's still there, you could PB. Great weight loss so far, good for you!!! Cathy
  14. Very Cute!! I told my husband before I had surgery...that everytime I bend over, he has to tell me my ass is getting smaller, whether it is or not!!! LOL!! Cathy
  15. I am spending the day in the sun at home on the deck while my husband takes my boys dirtbiking! We are on vacation now for the remainder of the week and are leaving tommorrow for Kawartha Lakes for a few days of hotel, pool and relaxation!!! I have been begging my hubby for a pool at home, so that we can save money on hotels with pools, but no luck yet. I guess I may have to get it done when he's not home!! LOL!!! Have a great day! Cathy
  16. WOW!!!!! What an inspiration! You must be doing something right!!!! Cathy
  17. Hi Mona-Camille, I am so happy you have restriction!!! I have not had my first fill yet, but have wicked restriction just from the band (3 weeks post op today). After I eat, I have a lump in my throat. The nurse at my clinic said it's my body's signal to tell me I am full. After about an hour or so, I need to take a sip of water and find that it takes along time to go down, probably because there is food in the way. When you sip your water at night and it's slow going down, maybe there is still food in the way? I hope it levels out for you..and you get the results you want...best of luck!!! Cathy
  18. LMAO!! You are too funny!!! Cathy
  19. I wish I could say that I am one of those people with less fat...and that's why I bruise so easily...not yet...but soon! I think my problem is too much advil. I have neck pain and headaches from working on a computer all day...so advil is my best friend. I haven't taken since June 3, one week before my surgery. I use tylenol now. I haven't had as many headaches or sciatica, I hope it's the weightloss that's changing things! Cathy
  20. You better do it soon, they have the day off tommorrow!!! Cathy
  21. Darn it! I was hoping it wasn't carbonated and I had another choice. You did good, it is alot of brain re-training. I am fighting snacking and it's hard. I have to find something else to do in the evening to avoid it. Even though my snack is healthy, I am trying to break the habit. I am also afraid of solid food, I don't want to risk PBing either, that would freak everybody out, including myself. I told the girls at work that I have to carry a bag with me, just in case. We went to lunch on Friday and I ordered spaghetti and mushed it up, I ate some and then sat there, waiting for the full feeling, my friend thought I was going to PB. You should have seen her face, too funny!! They are the most supportive bunch of ladies ever! I am too lucky!! Take care, Cathy
  22. Wishing all my Canadian bandsters a Happy Canada Day! Enjoy the day off on me! Cathy
  23. Whoot Whooo!!! You did it...good for you, dinner sounds amazing!!! Is soda water carbonated? Say no!!! I have 11 days to go until solids....I can't wait. Cathy
