  2. Did you know...that when you laugh, you release endorphins which promote weight loss and happiness!!! My though for the day! Cathy
  3. Congrats! You made it...I hope all goes well for you! Cathy
  4. That's great news! Although it will be tough at times, it is soooo worth it! Set a main goal and mini goals along the way and always keep the goals in mind...it will see you through it all! Best of luck! Cathy XO
  5. You are too funny...and have a one track mind!! LOL!! I knew it was a pun, but not in that context...love it! Made me smile...have a great day! Cathy
  6. I totally agree and said that to you when you mentioned the cost and little fills in a previous message. I truly think they are taking advantage of bandsters and milking them for money for little fills, so you have to continue to go back and that's not acceptable, but what do you do?! You need them. I hope she provides you with what you need and doesn't charge you again. Cathy
  7. Hi Erin, How are you? Are you feeling better? My diet plan includes 1/2 cup of skim milk 3x per day, you can drink it or add to your soup or cereal. Hope all is well! Cathy
  8. And what did it say? I have to book too, but haven't had a chance to read it yet. Cathy
  9. You guys are just too sweet! I hope my family learns to enjoy healthy living as well! Cathy
  10. My understanding is carbonation can stretch your pouch, due to gas build up...and of course you need to count the calories. I would talk to your surgeon. Cheers! Cathy
  11. You are all gorgeous!! My neice does jazz and the first time I saw her in a recital I cried, like a very proud Aunt! Great pics! Cathy
  12. My first fill is scheduled for July 16th here in Canada. Cathy
  13. My surgeon never told me to avoid straws, but I know they add air/gas to what you are drinking..and it just so happens that I ended up with a wicked gas bubble and will forever avoid straws. Others may not have any trouble at all. We are all different! Thanks for sharing everyone! Cathy
  14. Best of luck with your surgery next week...it's on Canada Day! It's gotta be good luck! Take care, Cathy
  15. My husband just went out for a walk (highly unusual) and said he needs to trim his tummy. I guess when I told him that "he better get healthy or his skinny wife will be leaving him in the dust", he listened. LOL!!! Once I start on solids, I will be making all the yummy recipes in the WLS cookbooks I bought and my entire family will be eating healthy. Cheers to getting healthy! Cathy
  16. Definitely talk directly to the surgeon and he will give you the details on what you need to do to have the surgery. I was 285 and went down to 268 before surgery. I would think that as long as your health is stable, you could have it. Good luck! Cathy
  17. That's great! I can't even imagine expense of going back and forth to TJ for fills. I am so glad my fills are with my own surgeon just 1 hr away and the cost is included in my original fee. Best of luck, I hope it works out for you! Cathy
  18. I had been living on cream of potato soup mixed with cream of cheese/cheddar with garlic and herb seasoning..yummy! But nothing beats Wendy's chili, blended up into a creamy texture. Cathy
  19. You are too funny and always make me smile. actually I did pat myself hard in the chest and it did come up...I am going to have to get my hubby to burp me like a baby after eating! LOL!!! Cathy
  20. You do have willpower and proved it!! Good for you! =D> It won't be easy, but it's worth it! Cathy
  21. I will never use a straw again, OMG the air bubble in my airway was painful, thank goodness for a warm cup of hot cocolate, it brought it right up. Whew!! I drank my clear liquids, broth in a cup and alway eat my soup from a bowl with a spoon, like Willi333 said, you have to feel like you are eating something, because three weeks is a long time! Cathy
  22. OMG!! 3 Days to Go!! That's amazing...wow does time fly!!! Best of luck to you and let us know how you are doing okay! Take care and if you need anything, you know where we are....Cathy XOXO
  23. PB stands for Productive Burp. When you body rejects the food you have eaten, you will slime and bring it back up...not something you or I want to do! Cathy
  24. Good for you!! I need to meet my weight loss challenges first and once I start rollin' with the band...it is next on my list of challenges! Gotta love challenges! Good luck to you..Cathy
  25. Me either...I am compiling my list of foods to avoid..bread, salad, tuna, steak, etc....the list is growing. I am starting to get scared of solid food....I am not on solids until July 11th and I think I will start with something easy and smooth. Does everyone PB? Cathy :-?
