If you are too tight for any period of time Dr. O said that you could cause erosion to your band with would mean complete unfill or removal. It is not worth the risk

I can feel hot and cold going throug but unfortunately mine only takes about 1 to 11/2 seconds so I don't seem to have much restriction. Of course I am still on liquids so that could be why. I will be eating my first meal on Thurs!!!!!!

I booked my first fill and my flight for June 20th today. I will be flying in around 9:00 AM renting a car to get to the border and having my fill at 12:00 PM and hanging around a bit before heading back to SD for a 8:00 PM flight home. If anyone else would like to ride to or from airport with me I would enjoy the company. Blessings!

I had one in the airport on my way back from surgery. Could only eat about 1/4 cup of it but it was great and I knew I wasn't getting close to enough cals anyway.

I am doing great, no pain at all, scars are so tiny they are barely noticable but I can definitely eat more that 1/2 cup at a time. I can do 1 full cup of soup or anything else. I did PB from drinking too fast today. Sorry to hear I won't see you in Mexico but I totally understand. I can have fluro here in CO too but havent' been able to get any feed back on the center so I am still leery.

Hey guys. We are on the countdown to food. I am looking forward to it. I have found it impossible to get above 1000 cals a day and I am not losing like I would like. How are all of you doing?

That is great Jena, I am going to book my fill apt. on Monday for sometime mid day on June 20th. I haven't bought tickets yet but am planning on flying in and out same day and renting a car to get to border and back. Let me know if we can get together for the travel time. Blessings!

I don't know if you have Panera Bread near you but their potato soup take out and pureed in the blender really hits the spot when I am dying to eat something real.

Pammie, Since you have been at this for a while, I have a question. Does the rumbling, noisy stomache ever go away. I am 14 days post op and everytime I lie down it is like a symphony in my lower stomache and intestines.

Me too. I don't think I have any restriction to liquid's left.

My high was 196. My decison weight was 189 and by surgery weight was 178. I have been banded for 2 weeks now and am still on liquid but I am really happy with my weight loss. I have lost 8lbs in the two weeks

I am with you at this point thinking maybe there is no band at all. I don't want a PB but I felt full with liquids the first 8 days or so and now it is like nothing.

Maytee how far out are you from surgery? Does your trainer know you are banded?

They have liquid tylenol in adult form as well as liquid Tylenol PM (Walgreens carries both). I also used Jr. Tylenol meltaways and adjusted for adult dosage (it made me feel like I was getting something to eat as well).

Hanna, I am actually down to 170 as of yesterday. Trying to only weigh 2 times a week. I am still on liquid for another 10 days and not in any rush to get to next level because I want to keep losing. I am becoming more and more discouraged about going back to TJ for fills since they seem to do such small ones. Where are you at to get it done locally. I know there is one with Fluro about 1.5 hours from me. When you went back to TJ did they do any big checkup to make sure everything was ok or was it something you could get anywhere that had Fluro? I am getting more and more discouraged about paying all of the money to go back to TJ for mini fills. Was hopeing some had used CO fill center in Thornton and could share their experience.

This is all very discouraging to me. I am seriously quesitoning a return trip to TJ. The do have a fill center in CO that will use Fluro and it seems that most who use fill centers get more aggressive fills.

Sounds good. I have to have fill on a Friday because I work the rest of the week. Do you want to fly in and out the same day? Are you staying in TJ or SD. I will either fly in and out same day or stay in SD. Don't want stress of crossing border and making flight. We spent like 4 hours in the airport last time and they aren't my favorite places

OK any of you that want to let's do a June 20th banding. That is a Friday. I will try to fly in fairly early that day and probably spend at least one night. My preference is to spend the night in SD though and not have to get going quite so early the next am. Anyone up for that? I would also be up for renting a car and driving to the border so we are on our own schedule instead of OCC schedule. Hopefully we can coordinate this Jena and any others wanting to do so.
