  1. I am actually feeling alot better today. Thank god! I am really a baby about vomiting so I am going strictly by the doctors orders. I am still strickly on the clear liquids and am 7 days post-op. I think I may try some yogurt and maybe something alittle heavier tomorrow. I think our pouch only holds around 2 to 4ozs so Im sure 1 yogurt or 1 popsicle is probally sufficient for a few hours at least. I am not hungry at all so I hav'nt really gone through the how much phase. I have found getting outside and getting some sunlight and walking around for 30 minutes or so has really helped. I did have diahrrea for the first few days but I will blame that on drinking real juice. Everything else is going great. Good luck and hope you feel better soon. >
  2. Yes I did go to the Doc Today and I do have a virus. It is horrible to dry heave I would rather have something to come up. I do feel alot better today and I am able to drink small amounts of gatorade. Hopefully that will never happen again. I have lost 16 lbs since pre-op 2 yesterday so I am pretty excited about that. Thanks for being so caring. Rachael
  3. Thanks Jena I just emailed the OCC hopefully they will get back soon. :lb12:
  4. I was just wondering if it is normal to feel this way. I am 6 days post-op and Im having a really hard time drinking anything. I get super nauseous with anything, even a sip of water. I am still on clear liquids (cant stomach anything else) and ever time I take a sip I literally have to run to the bathroom and try to get sick. I have not had over 2oz at a time. Can't seem to stomach chicken broth. I am down 15 lbs with 10 on my pre-op diet. Scared to put anything in my mouth. I am working and walking most of the day but can't seem to get past the nausea. Maybe someone can tell me what to do. Everything else is good no pain and some gas.
  5. I was banded on 5/7/2008 and the trip home was probally the worse part. I dont think it was because of pain or anything I just think I was so ready to get home that it seemed like it took forever. The only problem is the room you have if you do not fly first class. It seemed really crowded flying continental airlines. Other than that I had no pain or gas problems. Just make sure you get your pain meds so if you need to you can take them before the flight and you will be able to rest on the flight. I would do it again in a minute!!!! Good luck You will have a really good time. =D>
  6. Hey there Jacqui1, Yes me and Pam were also banded on Wednsday and we are so excited. The flight home was probally the worse part of the trip but it seems they do not have much room for larger people especially when you are swollen and uncomfortable. We asked to upgrade but firstclass was full and also cost350.00 extra. WOW. Everything else seems to be going well though, I am down 2lbs since getting home =D> Let us know if your going back for your fill we would love to get together with you. Had a blast! Good Luck. :girl_dance:
  7. [Hello I am new to this forum, but I am finding things very informative. I, along with a friend had surgery on Wednsday May 7th with no problems whatsoever. There were several of us having surgery on the same day which proves Dr Ortiz is a very busy surgeon. He was awsome! :lb13: Like everyone said in the previous post he is a very attractive man. I think his disposition is what makes him so hot. Anyway enough of that. We walked after our surgery (alot). Went back to the motel (great place to stay) and had some Broth and shopped all day. We were exhausted but the walking makes you feel very little pain. (If your like myself or my partner) we had hardly any problems. Back on the plane headed for Houston Probally was the worst part. If you fly contintenal be prepared to be very crowded because there is hardly room for someone small much less someone large. Any way I would do it all over again many times. =D>
