  6. OMG, I can not believe it has been 6 months. Well time flies when you have the right tool and when you look at food in a different way. I have a total new life and I enjoy the new me. It has been such a sweet journey to say the least. There has been up and downs. And I will take them both, because its a good learning expirience. My new motto is NEVER GIVE UP. Because it will come off. One way or the other weather it be in pounds or inches, it will come off. And even if you fall of the wagon, just get right back on it. The sooner you realize what you did the sooner you can correct it. But NEVER GIVE UP. To all you newbies NEVER GIVE UP, if I can do it so can you. LIFE IS GOOD. I LOVE MY BAND.

  10. WOW that is just awsome. I am glad you posted this today as I was feeling a little depressed this morning. I am at 6 months and have reach that plateau. I have had that obsession with the scale and had my husband hide it and only bring it out on Monday mornings. I drink plenty of water. I excersice everyday either on my treadmill or my ecliptical machine. I guess I need to add my bike to this. I also go out to eat once a week on Saturdays thats my treat. I am down 61lbs and im very happy, I figure slower is better because I know now that its going to stay off for good. Thanks for this post. It has put me in check. I know now that I have to not give up.

  12. I work at a desk and ive been banded for 6 months now and still from time to time I have some soreness at my port site. When I went to the doctor he said that it was because of the placement, but not to worry. Let us know how it goes.
  13. I told them that I had surgery, and they boarded me first all the time. Plus it helped that people didnt bump into me.

    Subtle Changes

Very just love ur pics. You look amazing.
  16. I went back for my first fill to the OCC. Just so they could tell me everything was fine with my band. My last 2 fills have been without flouro the Dr. is about an hour from my house. on the first on it took him 4 tries to find my port. I was so scared that he might have hit the tube. On my second one he poked me twice and he took out all the liquid that was in. By the way the whole amount was still there, and then he added more. It hurt like hell even with the numbing shot. And the cost has been 175 each time.
  17. You're are just to funny. Wish I was there to see his face.

  21. Hi Shanalee, like many have already said you are not alone, you are part of a wonderful world of bandsisters and brothers. Jann and I started on this forum at the same time, I had my surgery the day after she did, we met in the lobby and it was like we knew each other for life. It was the same with Janet at the airport, everything was all over the internet, but once you see that person you connect in a way that I cant even explain it. As well as with Ellen like she said we did running around the hallway with our IV poles. I was a real pretty site. Again YOU ARE NOT ALONE. You have all our support. Keep us posted.
  22. We are band sisters for life Jann. Sending my LOVE you're way.
  23. Have lots of fun, You deserve it. Take lots of pictures.
