My husband was opposed to me getting it done in mexico also and he was born there try and figure that one out. But I did it and I would do it again and again and again. Im 5 days from solids, and hes amazed at the difference. MY clothes are already falling off I need to wear belts with my pants. Now hes thinking about maybe getting it done. He is diabetic and they say the band helps in that matter.

I totally agree with Dawnie, This doctor is taking you for a ride sister girlfriend. If it was me I would treaten to take him to whatever board of medical etics and tell him you want you're money back. Thats why I'm going back to the OCC for my first fill and maybe for all my other fills if this is whats i'm to expect here in the so called good old USA. Ill pay the 300 dollars round trip and the 100 flouro charge. thats al least 3 trips. And I get to see all my favorite people at the OCC. I hope you can get this resolved soon.

I was told by Dr. Miranda to drink the lactos milk first, then if I could handle it to start half lactos and half low fat until I could see if it went down right.

Have gone on Dr. Otiz's web site. I think that should be you're 1st step. I was at 265 when I started and I have seen some on the forum that have been over 300. So check it.

I go to my local Thai place and order a wonton soup without the wontons . The lady is so nice that when I go pick it up she only says no charge for my soon to be skinny costumer. I think on my first day of solids Im having Thai.

WTG DaimondJim, Im so happy for you. I just also saw a comercial on tv were they might be doing the surgerys 60 miles from were im at in the town that my mother lives. If they do I hope they take mexico patients that way I could go there for my fills. Keep youre fingers crossed for me. My first fill will be at the OCC on the 12th of August.

I have a weight watchers one that does all the calculating for you even your BMI.

Toes are ok, no make-up, and on my fingers I had clear polish with blue tips and they didnt say anything.
