  1. I knew you were there Mona!!
  2. I do like the "biggest loser" idea. I think once a week or so this makes sense to keep your body guessing. I've also heard you need to switch up your exercise or your body also gets used to the same workout routine. I do appreciate all the tips on this forum. :cheerleader: for the OCC forum.
  3. I'm curious too. I need a new crown on my front tooth just because the color is not right. I've had it for 10+ years and it never was right. Keep us posted.
  4. Mona where are you? I know she has a huge bunch of kittycats. Now we could have a zoo!!
  5. I did just try Dontondan's suggestion of warm liquid for pills. I made some warm milk and added my favorite "ovaltine" to it. It really helped me get my pills down. Thanks again for the great tip!!
  6. It's a love/hate relationship for sure with the scales!
  7. I'll never tire of your pics, it gives me inspiration. And yes I love the hair too!! It's fun to change thing up a little with your new body. Keep up the good work Kim!!
  8. How cute, and functional for us bandsters. Good to hear from you Yorkiemommy.
  9. I didn't think to take them with warm liquid. :lb23: Thanks so much
  10. Oh I hope I can go. I LOVE San Diego and it is so close to the OCC, how perfect!!
  11. I couldn't really feel my port either before my 1st fill. I had my fill with fluoro so it was no problem. I am sure the experienced docs who don't use fluoro can find them easily. It is what they do.
  12. I wonder this too. So far with my 1st fill 1 week ago I cannot take any capsules. In the morning I have a difficult time taking my pills I cannot cut or break in half. How about it from other more experienced bandsters?
  13. Very Interesting point. I love reading all the differing opinions.
  14. What a great gift to the animal population. People like you are too few!! Thanks for your giving back to these furry friends.
  15. I to want Michelle out, have you noticed how she is ALWAYS primping and looking at herself in the miror? Yes I wonder about Jerry's voice. He did make a comment about it like "when I get my voice back".. I wonder if it's just temporary? And yes I do like Renny. From the start I thought she was over the top but I think she's cool now. On After dark last night they are talking about putting up Angela and Memphis, wanting Angie to be out for sure. I want Libra out!! I think she is a typical biyatch, except without the neck movements and fingers pointing in a circle when she is yelling!!
  16. 1. I want to wear smaller scrubs at work and not constantly be waiting for someone to ask me "When are you due?" or "are you pregnant too?" 2. I just want to have sex with my husband!! 3. No more seat belt extenders for me. On my trip to the OCC for my fill on Delta airlines I didn't need one!!So that's one down. 4. I want to shop in the juniors section and buy the cute stuff I see in style, not the fat lady's sweats and old lady shirts!! 5. I want to water ski again. Or at least be able to think I can. I used to do competitions only 10 years ago. Also to fit into my wetsuit again. I used to be a water baby all summer long and frolic and play in my numerous swim suits, including bikinis, with no problems. Even went topless with no shame!! And as someone else said most of all for sure is to get my health back. No more diabetes, sleep apnea and hopefully some sort of relief from the chronic pain I endure on a daily basis. !!
  17. Kim.... :lb13: I always look forward to your posts, as well as everyone else on this forum. Yes I am addicted to it. It's better than food...Or at least that's what I am trying to tell myself as I type, type, type!! And Kim I love your new side by side pics. What a difference. And yes I would kill for your legs!!!
  18. 1. Baxter our 20 pound ragdoll who runs the house 2. Abby our 7 year old lab/boxer mix we got when we bought our house, she came with it!! We lived in the house behind the kids who owned our current new house. They came to us saying they were getting a divorce and selling the house. Yes we always had wanted this house so we could have the 2 houses together and rent one. Anyway they didn't know what to do with Abby, no one really could take her so we won the PRIZE. She was a rescue dog and at times is timid but oh how she loves us. Of course we think she's "the Greatest American Dog" without bothering with the show. Since we are childless yes these 2 are our "kids". Call us "those type of crazy folks". We treat them both like little people and oh are they spoiled!! And yes Kimmy, I would have a farm too, my husband has the problem with this idea though.
  19. Yes this is a learning lesson for many of us. I have finally gotten to the point of the woman in the green suit, sort of. The last years being heavy were also very much a journey of growth for me. Now it's time to get the weight off to really show off !!
  20. Glad you didn't lose anything. Good advice on the surge protector.
  21. The key to getting the "crap" out of your system is tons of fluids, as best you can I mean. The more the bettere. You need to flush your system with liquids like gatorade, prune juice (just try it and take it a sip at a time) and anything else you can drink. Hope you are feeling better by the time I post this. This period of time after surgery when people feel not the best will go by quickly. Baby yourself and feel better. I had the pain in my chest also. I t does get better!! :lb4:
  22. Yeah it's kind of normal for some. You're body is also probably suffering from low blood sugar and you need calories. At this point get them through liquids. Use juices like grape and/or pineapple which are higher calories and sugar. Unless you are a diabetic of course. You MUST just sip, sip, sip ALL day on the gatorade at this point. Dehydration does feel awful so start working on this with whatever you can tolerate. All the things Cathy mentioned you should at least try to get to feeling better. Keep us posted.
  23. Since soup is a liquid it will go right through the band. There is no 4 oz. limit on liquids. For me though at first I could only eat about that much and then as time passed before my first fill I could eat as much as I wanted. Enjoy this non-restricted time even if it is only liquids.
  24. So glad you're doing so well. =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>
