  1. No liquids don't count when you are in the liquid phase. You are right Trina to eat your soups as you wish. I forgot about this stage, since I am not on it anymore I've blocked it out of my memory I guess. Anyway no worries I was talking about eating real food that isn't blended up, stuff we must chew ourselves after the liquids phase. Glad to see you back from the weekend. I missed ya!!
  2. Very perceptive husband you have....Yes there is a small amount staying in the tube once the band is full. Until then I think most of it goes in the band because there is room for it. It might take a few days for the remainder in the tube to migrate into the balloon itself. Maybe that's why it take a week or so sometimes for fills to actually kick in? I'm going to the OCC on Thursday and will ask this question for sure and repost when I have the answer from an expert.
  3. Yes, sad but true we all should only eat this much at a time. I asked Dr. Miranda and she said to not overeat as it will result in eventual pouch stretching. Yes I am guilty of eating more, but am working hard on this. I now do measure out 1/2 cup and stop at another 1/4 no matter what. Hope this helps.
  4. Best of luck on your fill Blazn. I get my first one on this Thursday and can't wait cuz I am able to go back to the OCC. I live on the west coast so it's a tad easier for me. Anyway hope you hit that "sweet spot" soon!! :lb11:
  5. :lb9: As you can see by all the previous posts there is no lack of support here. And if you're a guy...you get special treatment!!!
  6. You are GORGEOUS my dear also. The pic really show how much you've lost. :lb10: :lb21: :lb24:
  7. GastroIntestinal Doc's are docs who specialize in just what it says ....your stomach (gastro) and intestines.. They usually arn't Bariatric docs...ones who specialize in obesity, but they can be as a sub specialty. Because they do work on the stomach then perhaps they would also do the fills. I'm sure calling is the best way to find out. Hope this helps Also Mona I'm keeping my fingers crossed for ya. I am glad to hear your sister is ok. When will she have surgery? Probably after the infection goes away right? Anyway both of you take care and I'm happy for you.
  8. :lb4: This phase will be over before you know it. I think my trick was that I used fresh homemade soups from safeway. I don't really like Campbells soups. The tuscan tomato basil bisque was to die for. I never got tired of it. Hope you have this where you live. If so TRY it tomorrow. If not listen to the other replies.
  9. I've heard anywhere from 8-8oz glasses to 1 gallon (16-8oz). I think minimum is the 64 oz. If you can fill a gallon milk jug in the morning and drink as much if not all of it by the end of the day, in any form, you're doing great. I don't think coffee counts though as it is a stimulant but any added flavor to the water like crystal light or the protein water powder packs is OK to count towards you total.
  10. Glad to see you're back Yorkiemommy, I've missed you. It's our fill week jsu days ahead... :lb11: :lb21:
  11. Gosh darn it Mona, I want to see those cats!! You can do it. Keep working on them.
  12. I just ate some delicious steak tonight that my husband BBQ'd. It was Yummy. I had no problem. As mentioned in other peoples posts I also cut it up real small. I will get my fill Thursday so I hope I can still eat it after that.
  13. I agree this is a very boring phase. I liked jello for breakfast and some juice, usually mixed with water. I love grapefruit juice so I'd have it.
  14. What a great link Michelle. I keep aking myself where do you find all this great stuff. It doesn't matter but I just want to thank you personally for adding so many great links and information to this forum. You really make a difference here and I always look forwards to your posts. :kiss3:
  15. Glad you two had a good experience. I'm wondering how Dawn's (momonamission) appointment went. Hope she'll post soon too. Congrats on having restriction!!
  16. You have come across the forum for all your answers. Read some of the testimonials and also the questions section for sure. This general section also has alot of great stuff in it. Keep us posted on your thought. We are all here to support each other to make this work once and for all!! :lb5:
  17. I can't wait for my collar bones to come back. Congrats on your new find :dance3: Strut your stuff!!
  18. I havn't but that's a great question.
  19. I totally agree with all the previous posts. You have done an amazing job. We all fluctuate. We all have those dreaded...PLATEAUS, aka BANDSTER HELL!! So if you know they will occur, plan for them and don't stress over this. I think 6-10 pounds a month after hitting the "sweet spot" with fills is the general range of weight loss I've seen. Keep up the gret work!!
  20. What a life!!! Have a great day Lisa. I can picture you now you cute LITTLE thing!!
  21. Yes as Lisa said listen to your body and drink more water until you are no longer thirsty. I try to drink mine several hours before I go to bed though so as not to be getting up every few hours.
