  1. I'm wondering if you use fluoro also. Hope to hear from you soon.
  2. I guess I'll have to try some. Thanks for the recommendation.
  3. Glad to hear from you. Follow up on this episode so you can rule out anything serious. then you'll be able to chock it up to dehydration and/or low blood sugar or some other thing that's not a health problem. Take care and sip, sip, sip!!
  4. Think about what you used to eat when you "cheated". For me it was and endless parade of calorie laden foods in huge proportion. You've come a long way and I think it's important we not beat ourselves up over one slip up or perhaps allowing yourself to have a treat. Just get back up, dust yourself off and keep on moving in the direction of your goal. I think retraining our brains to not think "good" and "bad" is also a must.
  5. Mamamichelle you have the bests posts!! Once again this is a great article and thank you for posting it.
  6. Hang in there I'm sort of where you are. 4 weeks post-op, the weight loss stopped 2 weeks ago and I actually gained 2 pounds back. I'm looking forward to my fill in 2 weeks. My food choices have not been that great, mostly healthy but then I blow it with a splurge of some sort. I try to not feel too bad because what I call a splurge today is about 1/3 of what I'd used to have, so that's progress. I also feel my clothes looser and feel better since I have started exercising. Try to focus on the NSV's during this challenging time. Now is when we have to dig our heels in and not allow ourselves to go back to our old ways. We made LIFE TIME decision that we must each integrate into our new lifestyle in our own ways. Whatever, however we do is up to us. Again :lb4: and know you are not alone.
  7. I was waiting for a post like this from a moderator. Thanks so much. Hopefully the people who need to will read this and be nice!! It's no fun getting scolded by someone you don't even know. PEACE!!!
  8. What a great day when clothes you used to squeeze into fall off!! Happy independence day Kimmy!!
  9. I actually got tears in my eyes reading this.....as usual thanks for the inspirational words WillT. Celebrating my independence today and I hope all of you do too, in more than 1 way!!
  10. Fatty liver is just what it says, lots of fat throughout the liver. The "omentum" is a word used in medical terminology to describe the area of the abdomen he is cutting through. In other words the layers of fat between the skin and the organs. Hope this helps. It's the reality of being overweight. The liver should slowly return to normal as you lose your weight, as well as the omentum decreasing in thickness as your fat goes away. Don't worry about it, just technical stuff. :girl_hospital:
  11. You are too cute!! Please feel free to ask as many questions as you like as that's how one learns. Take care, God Bless and keep on posting!!!
  12. Me too!! I work evenings so it can be helpful or harmful. I have to just stay in my patients rooms to hide from the table of food when it's present. When I get home is when it gets tough. I think the idea of an activity is a great one.
  13. Dawn: Please know that I am praying for you and your mom and your family. God id a God of miracles and I pray for a shield of protection to be placed around your family at this difficult time.
  14. I believe it's just swelling that will resolve too soon!! You'll see, before you know it you'll be able to scarf down anything you want to before your first fill, it's called bandster Hell 101. Stop when you are full and you won't stretch out your pouch.
  15. EVERYONE LISTENING....please heed this advice and stick true to the purpose of this forum, no more BS!!
  16. I too am struggling with the foods I used to eat calling to me. I was thinking yesterday how during the first 21 days all we want and can't wait to be able to eat again and then when we can we wish we were back on liquids, sort of? You know what I mean. This is a HUGE thing we all are doing and each person must walk their own mile. For me this forum helps alot so that is why I post so much. It keeps me busy and my mind in focus. I also sip on water all day but Oh my gosh the cravings. Last night I was on my way home from work, thought about Popeye's chicken and the next thing I knew my car was at the drive up window. This was 11:30 at night mind you. I hadn't eaten much all day and then BAM!! I was hit hard. Luckily I started to panic once the sack was in the car. I only took one bite of my chicken strip ( which hurt all the way down) no more. I picked at the biscuit slowly . Once I got home I just packaged up the stuff and threw it away...I really did. I was so proud of myself. So I guess it's going to be trials like this that we each have to go through. Allcdngirl and Mona thank you for your honesty and all others too who feel the ability to share the not so great times. We all are not perfect, but if you are................ perhaps you don't need to be in this fourm!!!
  17. It sounds like you are on the right track Trina. You NEED the full liquids at this point (soups, shakes etc.) so I am glad you found the glucerna. I used the glucerna too and liked it alot. Take care sweetieand remember to sip, sip, sip!!
  18. I think this is one of the best parts of losing weight. I love clothes and also have a closet full, can't wait to go through them wear them a few times again as I go down and then GET rid of them once and for all and start all over with my new size!!
