It has been about 5 years now since my band was put in. I cannot get my eating under control. I have been down to 153 lbs with much effort and am now 175 lbs. I find that if I eat slowly enough I can consume a lot. For example the other day I had a cheese burger, onion rings, and a medium ice cream. However, there are times when I eat a couple of mouths full of something and it gets stuck and I have to go to the bathroom to vomit. Yes I have learned how to cheat the band and with that knowledge I am not loosing weight. How in Gods name can I stop that?????? I just want to be happy, healthy, and comfortable in my skin. Do I need a fill? The doctor that does my fills here in Canada will only do .5 cc at a time and doesn't do flouro. How do I know what I have enough of a fill? Wish I had the money to go to OCC for a fill. Sorry for the rant, I am so upset with my results...and yes the blame lies soely on my shoulders. I am the first to admit that. Happy New Year! Trudy

Hi everyone, I am back and doing well. I am soooo glad I went through with this. My tummy rolls are GONE FOREVER!!!!! I have been moving very well from what Dr. Quiroz says. Apparently I am a strong woman who tolerates a lot. LOL I`m just too stubborn to sit still. LOL Surgery went well, pain is manageable, looking good. Another success story for Dr. Quiroz. BTW, he is a wonderful guy. So much fun to talk to and so full of energy. I felt an immediate connection with him. I will definitely recommend him to anyone thinking of plastic surgery. I am having my plastic surgery at Cosmed on July 3rd. I am having a TT, BL, and fat trasfer to my butt, for all of that I am paying $9000 US. He does give discounts. Joyce works for YOU and she gets as much as she can off the surgery. I am saving $1800 by doing all the surgeries at once. Dr. Quiroz has been wonderful. He returns my calls personally and makes sure to answer all my questions and also makes sure I totally understand what he is talking about. The process so far has been wonderful. I talked to Recovery By the Sea today. The lady sounds wonderful and caring. She spent a good 30 minutes on the phone with me talking about what to expect during recovery etc... This is the price breakdown she gave me...$100 to stay the night before surgery, $150 for the nights I stay after the surgery, transportation for the entire stay is $200(includes all the tolls) ($25 per trip if there are extra trips), meds are $35 for the entire stay, Laundry is $25 for the entire stay (I opted out of this one), for a grand total of $830.00 (gave me %50 off, ask for a discount). I thought that was pretty darn good considering that they do EVERYTHING for me. I am getting so excited now! I booked my flights today. Leaving July 2 and coming back July 8 if all goes well. I called 2 plastic sugeons here in Alberta about a TT alone, nothing else and they bother were in the $12 000 range. For my TT, fat transfer, and BL it is going to cost me $9000 US. Not a bad price huh? I still have quite a lot of stomach fat but Dr. Quiroz said not to worry, a lot of it will be cut off anyway, and what is left behind I can have lipoed out at a later date. He said he does not do lipo on the stomach area at the same time as a TT because of the high risk of bleeding. But he is confident that I will be happy with the result. I just want the apron GONE!!!!!! Makes me sick to look at it! I will keep a journal of my experiences and be sure to post it. If I can access a computer I will also stop in from time to time. I have made my appointment at CosMed for a TT, Fat transfer to my ASS, and a BL. I am excited and apprehensive all at once. Well, just like with getting the papband I guess. LOL I think making the decision for the plastic surgery was harder to make. I have a new man in my life who says he likes me just the way I am but he totally supports my decision. He's so awesome!!!!! I am sceduled for July 3rd. I will let you all know how it goes. Hugs Trudy

Has anyone had plastic surgery in Tijuana at a facility other than Cos Med? If so, how was the experience? What did you have done? What was the cost? I am considering having a LBL, and a BL in July. Anyone else thinking about taking the plunge? It would be nice to spend the week recovering with someone as I will be going alone.

I have been on a plateau for about a month. Gosh they are hard to deal with. I think I might finally be over it. I dropped 2.5 pounds in the last 3 days. Yahoo!!!!!

I posted new pics of me today. I am in awe as to the changes. I didn't think I lost much in size but I guess I did. Not only that but I have men at work telling me how sexy I look. Gawd that feels good!!!!! I am now down 32 lbs. One more pound and the 170s will be gone for good. WOOHOOO

Hi gang, I hope everyone is doing well? I thought I would stop in to let you know that I am down 30 pounds. It's been a slow journey for me, but I think it is my lack of commitment. I feel fantastic...and sexy again. God what a great feeling that is. To all the newbies....YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!! There is no better feeling in the world than to feel thin and SEXY!!!! My last fill must have done the trick. I am down 3 pounds in a week. It is about time too! My brother even said to me last night that I look like I have lost some more weight. That is such a good feeling. Hugs Trudy

Well I went for my third fill yesterday. I got .4 cc so I now have 2ccs in my 4 cc band. I hope this does the trick cause I am getting very frusterated with this whole process. My fill doc likes to take it slow so he doesn't over fill and I can get used to the band life slowly. I am a go all the way kinda girl ) I never do anything half asses! I do however need to work on what I am putting in my body. I can and do eat almost anything. Have a wonderful weekend! Trudy
