Wow it is hard to believe it has been two weeks already. I have had 2 slips with solids. #-o :bad: It wasn't due to hunger it was just a craving. I am back on track, not a single hunger pang. Thank God for that! I am down 14 pounds and seeing the changes already. I actually have enough energy to clean my house and get my butt out of bed instead of sleeping off and on all day. I think the kids are happier too. They are slowly getting their mom back. I NEVER would have been able to loose even these 14 lbs without the band and Dr. O. What a wonderful and happy day I am having. For the first time in months I don't feel like a "COW" and am not beating myself up because I am a "LAZY ASS". Wait a minute.....am I getting my self esteem back?????? That is something I never thought I would see again. I AM PRETTY, I AM WORTH IT, WE ALL ARE WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hugs Trudy

You are not the only one who screwed up today. I am 11 days post op, doing great, no cheating, THEN, my brother that lives with us ordered Pizza Hut and pizza is a weakness for me. GOD DID I PAY!!!!! :lb6: :lb1: It got stuck and was not pleasant at all. I was walking it off and sticking my finger down my throat for an hour before it went through. However, I am curred of eating it again. Why is it always so damn hard for me (and others) to follow the rules. I have always been a rule breaker and I can't do that with this. Does anyone know if OCC does fills on Saturdays? I am a bus driver and I am not really allowed to take time off of work as September is a crazy month for us. If I have to do it I will though. Hugs Trudy

Well today is day 7 since I got banded and it hasn't been that hard for me. I am starting protien today and soups in a couple of days. I have been pretty good about what I am putting in my mouth. I have had a couple of cheezies but they gave me diahrea so the pretty much killed any craving I may have had after that. LOL I am down 12 pounds and I am so excited about that. Recovery have been a breeze for me. No pain, not even gas pain. Jello has been wonderful, cures the sweet tooth! I start eating solids the day before my hubby's birthday so I am excited about that. BBQ here I come. Hugs Trudy

I haven't told very many people yet. My parents don't even know about it. My husband, kids, and 2 brother's know. I don't want too many people to know because of the stigmatism of weight loss surgery. "I took the easy way out" Ha ya right!!!! Maybe in time I will tell more people. My mother will judge me and make comments. (She too is obese, but also 79 years old) This is for me and no one else. Hugs Trudy

I was worried about the same thing as I didn't meet my goal and Dr. Miranda didn't say anything to me about it. I wouldn't worry about it. You did your best and that is all they can expect. The main reason they want you to loose the weight is so your liver is in better shape for the surgery. See you on the other side. Hugs Trudy

I just came back from Tijuana yesterday and I was so very pleased with the hotel. They take excellent care of Dr Ortiz's patients and everything is extremely clean. You have absolutely nothing to worry about. Hugs Trudy

I had absolutely no pain all night, not even gas. This is great! I am heading off to the hotel right away and looking forwad to shopping. LOL Hugs to you all Trudy

I have had the best experience here people. Don't worry about a thing. I am 5 hours out and I have NO pain and NO gas. Wow do I feel great. Dr. Ortiz is ....well....what can I say.....HOT!!!!!!!!! Dang is he something else. So much fun too. I already have my IV out and was told that I could go back to the hotel if I wanted to. I am still thinking about it. David and I are each other's support here and I believe he wants to stay. David is a newbie to the board. So there were 8 of us getting banded and I was the last one it.. I about went crazy!!!!! I am so excited to see how I am going to look when I am done with my weight loss. The Lucerna is wonderful. They take very good care of you there too. I even got a complimentary fruit basket. Dr Miranda didn't want me to shop yesterday because I would be tired and not up to full strength for the surgery. However, tomorrow is another day. A few of us are heading to Revloution Ave. Gotta get gifts for the girls. They were quit upset that they didn't come this time. I said maybe when I come for a fill. I am here at Lucerna and sooooo excited. I am down 9 lbs (goal was 10 lbs), had blood drawn and tomorrow is the big day. I am so happy with the service and how helpful everyone is here. The driver even drove me to 2 different banks to try to exchange canadian money. NOTE: Do that before you get here. BIG mistake. LOL Hotel is very clean. I even got a complimentary fruit basket. Dr. Miranda told me that there was no shopping for me tonight, just relax at the hotel. Darn it anyway. Well back to the room for me. Take care everyone, I will try to leave a note after the surgery.
