  1. B: Hash browns and a few bites of eggs S: Dining services was having an expo giving out free stuff....ugh my nighmare! So I grazed a bit. Cheese cubes, pretzels covered in yogurt, sweet potato fries, and V8 fusion D: #1 - mini raviolis. Ate about 2/3 of the little container and am full. Man, i've suddenly somehow gotten more restriction over 2 mos after my last fill. These bands are so odd like that! Eating the raviolis and getting the "gurgles" at 4 in the afternoon. D: #2 - cheese and crackers and cubed ham Calories so far: 1,000
  2. Once lent is over I am going to have to try Greek yogurt. I have had several friends rave about it! I'm not a fan of regular yogurt it's too sweet but my friends say it's different.
  3. B: Fiber One cereal (dry) L: Sliced turkey w/ light miracle whip. Carrots and dip and 5 light club crackers. S: Almonds D: Tried to eat some chicken. Was soo hungry but didn't listen to my body when it told me I was full. I did that "let's just try one more bite" game and lost! Just PB'ed that last bite or two, but still sucked! Not sure if I count that but I am to be safe. Calories so far: 800
  4. B: None, slept in for the first time in a looong time. Felt sooo good! L: About 4 bites of a hamburger (no bun)and 1/2 a small mcd's fry. Still kinda tight right now - no idea why! D: Baked beans and ham S: 2 glasses of wine Calories: 900
  5. Can someone give me a good explanation of what acid reflux feels like? I have never had it, but I am afraid I might be recently. I am waking up in the morning with what feels like a sore throat but it is more like this burning sensation in my throat. It is mostly in the morning and goes away, but I have it now and again later in the day. Any ideas??
  6. Ditto to everyone I would do it again in less than a heart beat!! I did a ton of research so by the time it was my big day I was so ready to go. I tell people that this has been both the hardest and easiest thing i've ever done in my life. YOu don't anticipate how hard it is to deal with the mental hunger - for some reason I thought that would just go away. Same with cravings. It's been 17 months for me and I still drool when I see a piece of garlic bread! But again I don't regret it a bit. I just ran in my second race and am about to start working towards a 10k. My niece is 4 and I hope that she only remembers fun healthy aunt Shelby and not the one that was always too tired to play with her and sat on the couch all the time. I also highly recommend OCC. My mom was a nurse for 20+ years and she went with me and still raves about the place. Cleaner and more professional than many of the hospitals i've been in here in the states. Wish I could go back there for fills but can't afford it. Best of luck!!!
  7. You know I think we really do need those reminders now and again. Today I tried to eat something for lunch and didn't PB, but it got stuck for sure. I remember the first time I PB'ed it was kind of nice to know that there was really something there. It's a great reminder. For me with alcohol it depends. If i'm out w/ people it makes me want to eat more, but if i'm at home it makes me not eat. Last night I had some wine and next thing I knew it was time to go to bed so I didn't bother eating. Which probably wasn't the best idea but I didn't want to eat too late.
  8. Welcome to the last 6 months of my life! I have been losing the same 5lbs and gaining back and forth. When I first went off dairy I lost like 4 in one week, but then last week my scale said I gained 4lbs in one day...seriously!? I used to make fun of my friends that would complain about needing to lose 10 lbs, but now I completely understand where they are coming from. I can't lie though, I am not eating as good as I should. My focus this week is going to be portion control and eating as healthy as possible. For a long time ive done the "eat until i'm content" method but lately ive been pushing that too far and I know eating too much. So this week i'm going back to portioning all my food out and eating only that no snacking to see how I do. Keep your chin up! Guess we have a good problem huh being close to goal!
  9. Ugh so sorry you had to deal with that! I can't even imagine! A couple years ago I had food poisoning and a friend of mine had to come and pick me up off my bathroom floor and take me to the hospital. Was not fun but i'm sure not as bad as that! Glad you are doing OK now. Take care of you!!
  10. Love this idea!! Here are a few of mine: - V8 fusion - EAS protein shakes (chocolate) - Quaker weight control oatmeal - Kashi cinna raisin crunch or fiber choice cereal (put in ziplock bags and eat dry) - Lots of fruits and veggies - Carl Budding lunchmeat packets - roll them and dip it mustard/light miracle whip - Tuna packets (keep me really full for a LONG time!!) - Campbell's chunky soup (drain the liquid out and eat the meat) - Fat free spicy refried beans - Turkey chili - make myself w/ extra beans makes it nice and thick Not a food, but one of the best things to keep me successful is I pre make my meals for the week on Sunday and portion everything out and have it ready to go, so in the morning I have no excuses! I have about a million ziplock bags and rubbermaid containers in my fridge all ready to go!
  11. Nobody had a conversation w/ me regarding alcohol there, but as a 5x weight watcher I still have it and just count it in my calorie intake. I didn't start drinking again until after my 21 days, but nobody said yea or nay to it. I was just scared that on only liquids that my tolerance would be shot! I know that alcohol is empty calories, but I like to drink and be social and I refuse to feel like i'm on a diet so I still have it. I choose wine sometimes but when at home mostly drinks like vodka and crystal light or other low sugar juices to keep it low. Had to laugh on the wine b/c i'm not sure one glass is possible in our house! One day I had someone telling me about these cute wine toppers they had bought and I was like why did you need toppers and they said for any you have left so it doesn't go bad. I was like, you have wine left at the end of the night?!
  12. Tried to go to work today but my boss sent me home. Also had to call into my 2nd job too which stinks i'm hourly there and really need the $$ but I guess I need to get better too. I slept from 11am to 3pm, so not much in the food dept but i'll put what I got. B: V8 fusion L: Tried to eat some sliced ham but only got about 2 slices down. S: Chips and dip D: Chicken and potatoes - man it was hard to get down! Took a loong time and chewed slow. I get really tight when I am sick. Calories so far: 800
  13. I claimed it as well along with the fills I had that year. That was the first year I was a homeowner so between those two I got an amazing refund that year!! Made this year's look pretty sad even though it was still 4k. Definitely when you get your taxes done keep all your documentation and take it with you. The amount has to equal a certain percentage of your annual income (7% is in my head, but not sure if that is right) but it is possible and helped me a lot!!
  14. That would rule!!!! We would have a great time!!!! My grandmother was a hard core Irish Roman Catholic, so she knew what she was talking about. Only problem is i'm sick as a dog so I can't taste or smell anything!!! Oh well, has kept me from eating too much!!! Still having a glass of wine though!!!
  15. Welp, sometimes there is a real advantage in weighing in too much. My scale says I gained 4lbs since yesterday...wtf? So i'm not taking a lot of stock in that. I'm sick so who knows what my body is doing. Not gonna stress will just keep on keepin' on and see what it says next week! Happy St. Pats to you all!!! The 1/4 Irish in me will be celebrating 100% this evening!!!
  16. Sooo not gonna be a good day but posting anyway. I am sick as a dog but am still going to enjoy my day!! B: 2 BK french toast sticks and small hash browns L: Carrots w/ ranch and fat free refried beans and chips D: LIttle bit of buffalo chicken dip, but sick so can't taste it....ugh! S: White wine My grandma's rule was on St. Pats that is the one day you can go back on what you gave up for lent, so buffalo chicken dip is on the menu!!! Oh and some adult beverages too - i'm sick i'm not dead!! Calories so far: 800
  17. For me it is all mental. No idea how I was able to do 21 days of liquids just fine, but then after a fill it is like torture those 24 or 48 hours after it! But it happens to me too. But just go back to those rules from the 21 days - keep drinking until you aren't full. Don't focus on calories at that time.
  18. Very random day! Didn't get to eat lunch until almost 3 and dinner won't be until 10, so that is why the oddness. B: Fiber Choice cereal S: Mini raviolis S: Crackers L: Chicken and potatoes D: Beef and Bean burrito Calories so far: 1300
  19. Zumba is awesome!!! It is latin aerobics. Here is a video I found on youtube that gives you a good idea of it. I am hooked!!!
  20. Thanks so much everyone it means a lot!!! Now, i'm not gonna lie I don't totally love running, but it gives me a new challenge and it does feel really good when you are done. For those interested I did the couch to 5K program and it is a really easy way to get you going! http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml To help get the weight off at first I did Zumba and I am hooked on that! I haven't done it as much lately b/c of training for races, but will get back to it soon. It's great cardio and you burn a lot of calories!!!!
  21. Ha ha that is hilarious!!! I don't get to watch it often but have a couple times it is really funny!!! I always say when I get old i'm gonna wear lots of make up, hideous clothes and take up smoking just b/c I can!! Man those vodka cranberries were going down way too smooth that night but heck after running that far I deserved it!!!
  22. B: Fiber One cereal (dry) L: Cubed ham, carrots w/ ranch and chips and salsa S: A few light club crackers D: Chicken soft tacos (2 small) with refried beans, fajita chicken and salsa and a few bites of corn. Soooo good I love it when I can be home and night and cook! Less than 350 cal for the whole thing! Calories so far: 800 Exercise - gonna do upper body today give my legs another day to rest after the race.
  23. Those sound sooo good thanks! And you could really tinker w/ those - I would put some mushrooms in there as well.
