  1. Ugh! I had a sinus infection recently and had this happen! Good to know it is common. TMI but it really did fee like I had a blob of mucus just sitting on top of my band. Was nasty! Thanks for chiming in it's good to know that others have the same thing.
  2. I'm so glad your family has been supportive!! That really makes a HUGE difference!! You know, depending on the APR on your card that might be your best bet. I was approved by a company, but they were going to charge me I believe it was 17% interest! OCC told me about three companies to check out and I looked into all of them but they were all a really hight interest rate. Good luck!
  3. Luckily i've only had it happen twice, but throwing up sucks! Sorry this is TMI, but imagine how small that area is and how hard your body has to push to get that stuff to come back out that hole. It sucks and it hurts. My stomach muscles hurt sooo bad afterwards way more than they usually do when I get sick. I know most folks keep ani nausea meds with them. I don't, but I think it is a great idea. I'm also very careful when I drink to not drink too much and make myself sick. HOpe you feel better!!
  4. Congrats and keep up the great work! Plateaus can last for sooo long but if you stick to the rules it will kick back in. Keep it up!!!!!
  5. B: Protein shake (about 1/3 of it) S: Cheese and crackers S: Fun sized snickers bar L: 1 cheese enchilada and beans D: Chips and dip - terrible, but could eat it and pack at the same time. Calories so far: 950 No working out tonight b/c I leave for Vegas tomorrow and haven't done anything! Gotta go get a pedi after work then pack, get the dog ready for the poochie resort and get the house in order. Can't wait!
  6. Hey folks...not sure if you noticed but we have a daily food log going on. It's the one where you see a date every day - you all are welcome to join in so we don't have to look in two places.

B: Apple Juice followed by quaker weight control oatmeal a bit later (about 1/2 to 3/4 of the packet) L: Taco Bell pintos and cheese and a cheese roll up D: So far terrible just had some chips and cheese dip. So bad! Exercise: It ended up being 40 degrees and raining here which sucked any motivation to work out from me. Calories so far: 900
  8. Ohhh thanks so much for letting me know i'll ask them. I called today an made an appt for the 26th I think it is, but I specifically asked for Dr. M. That is why I have to wait a bit before I can get in. But i'll call back and ask specifically about it. That is what I was hoping they would do and i'm not about to pay money to go in for nothing. It is $65 to see him w/o getting a fill. Thanks!!
  9. Thanks so much!! I will call them i'm about to head out of town but when I get back i'll have them check it out. I guess my only fear would be if I have stretched my pouch at all. Everything feels good and I don't PB that much, but I feel like I can eat more than a lot of other folks can. So yeah just peace of mind knowing all is OK. I don't get that "i'm full" feeling but maybe 50 percent of the time and am just making myself stop after a certain point now. I'm not losing much, but I think i'm within about 10 lbs of what I think is a healthy goal weight for me (135) - not what the BMI says I should be at, but where I feel I can get to. So I know things are gonna go slower now. Thanks again everyone!!
  10. OK I thought I posted this now I can't find it so maybe I made it up! I don't feel like I need another fill, but I am coming up on my bandiversary and just want to go in and have them take a peek. I don't think anything is wrong or anything, just want to put my mind at ease and make sure it's all OK. It's been a while since i've had a fill. I could do one slight tweek, but I fear getting too tight. Any of you done that just gone in to get it checked out and not gotten a fill? I might call today and see if they do that. thanks!
  11. Sadly I have no real jewelry so no need for me! I always said when I turn 40 if i'm not married i'd buy myself a ring, so maybe instead i'll do it when I hit goal!

  15. Ohhh I love love love Vegas! If it wasn't for my niece I might just up and move there. You should definitely take the trip sometime. It's gonna be in the 80's while we are there. Gotta go buy me a swimsuit tonight not looking forward to that, but otherwise sooo excited!! I'll take lots of pics!
  16. Ditto!! That is your stomach getting back to normal which is why clear liquids those first 7 days. Your band is inflamed and you are tight as a drum, but sadly that doesn't last. Right now you aren't going to stretch your pouch, but you want to be practicing all those good rules so you are ready when you have restriction. For me before that first fill eating really slow and chewing a lot helped me a ton b/c then I got full faster. I didn't have much restriction until my 3rd fill and even with that I don't get the tightness like some describe. But if I go any tighter I think i'll be too tight and I don't want that. So i'm sticking with where I am now. Good luck!
  17. YEA!!!!!!!!!! YOU DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mexican food is my weakness too! Like was said be very careful w/ the chips and dips - they go down just fine and you can eat way too many of them. I know I eat them way too much! And no worries to you all you are not gonna get stuck or PB without a fill. I have never heard of anyone doing that just yet. But this is a good time to practice all those rules like chewing like crazy and taking small bites. My 1st PB didn't come until after my 2nd fill and it was bread - an english muffin.

  19. I basically stayed the same this week - lost .2 according to my scale. Oh well its been a crazy week and my eating hasn't been that great. So hopefully this week I can get back on track. I leave for Vegas one week from today so until I leave i'm gonna try to really watch what I eat. Hope everyone is having a great week!

  25. Hey there...yeah chips and dip of any kind are definitely my weakness! I've never had any issues with them going down, which is probably why I eat them so much too!
