  1. Thanks so much everyone! I apologize today was so nuts at work I didn't get to post the pics, but i'll do my best to put them up tomorrow. It's the first week of school and i'm an administrator so life is nuts for me right now. Thanks!!!!!!!
  2. I take those too and like them. And I agree I first got the liquid and about hurled and made it about 3 days on it. My friend is sending me samples of some JP stuff so i'll let you know what I think!
  3. Yea I was just about to email you the other day to see if you got them yet! I am so glad they fit well - I loved those bras and i'm so glad you all could use them. Thanks for letting me know!!!
  4. Good luck at the Dr. tomorrow!!!!!!!!!
  5. Thanks so much! It is amazing to think it's been that long! It was around June of last year I booked my appt and it seems like so long ago, but just yesterday!
  6. Not sure how many of you watch Grey's Anatomy...but it reminded me of all the brain testing procedures that Meredith and Dr. McDreamy were doing. I dunno just seems drastic to me and the lady on there hadn't really lost much. The brain is such a complex thing i'm not sure I could have someone touching it! To me the band doesn't even compare, but you know some think it is drastic. If you wait a few days it usually is up on Oprah.com to watch. Was just interesting to watch.
  7. Thanks so much everyone! Lisa, lately I am so realizing this! I'm training for this 5k and the last few months the scale hasn't moved. But I had some students that hadn't seen me since May and when they saw me last week were telling me how great I looked so the inches must be coming off. And I am sooo OK with that! Weight is a good indicator, but not the end all be all. The only regret I have with all this is that I did not measure. All of you that are early in your process the best advice I can give you is to measure! I haven't lost in months but I have lost inches. I'll make sure and post the pics tomorrow!!
  8. NSV stands for Non Scale Victories...these are huge as the scale doesn't mean everything. Gotta appreciate these too!
  9. Did any of you see today's Oprah? Was quite interesting they had a lady on that had brain surgery to get rid of her cravings and to help with weight loss. Not sure it's working as she's only lost 11 lbs in 3 months, but I was fascinated with it. Not sure I could have brain surgery, but I guess some folks think we are drastic for getting the band. Anyhoo, just wondering if any of you saw it and what you thought.
  10. Everyone is different, but I LOVED beer and it was hard not to have it, but I didn't have one until about 8 months out. I took two drinks of a beer and got a horrible pain in my shoulder that lasted for almost 24 hours. Was terrible! Just last week I had another one and it was OK, but i'm not going to make a habit of it. I drink wine or vodka and cranberry and i'm OK. I was never a huge pop drinker but did like Dr. Pepper. I haven't had a pop since a few days before surgery and i'm gonna keep it that way. When I did WW years ago I didn't have one for 6 months and then when I did it tasted terrible so I just keep telling myself that is what will happen this time too so it keeps me away from it. Be very careful drinking beer or pop too early it can really do harm!
  11. So I had a great new NSV yesterday. We needed to wear T-shirts to work and I was trying to make it look more professional so I wore it with slacks and dress shoes. The NSV of it is that I tucked my shirt in!!! I can't event tell you when the last time was I tucked my shirt in. It was really exciting! I took pics and i'll post them when I get a chance - probably tomorrow. I'm in a major plateau so I really needed something like this to keep me going.
  12. Still super tight, but getting better! B: light apple juice S: townhouse crackers (about 10) and laughing cow cheese (2 wedges) L: mini ravioli - took me almost an hour to eat less than a cup but it went down S: chips and salsa w/ cheese dip D: ate a few bites of my niece's cheese pizza she didn't want S: 2 glasses of vodka and cranberry Exercise - another day of moving boxes and running all over campus. My arms feel like jello so i'm taking it easy. Water: X X X (working on it as we speak I am really behind on that today!) Calories so far - 900
  13. If I just have a glass here and there it has caused me no problems, but yes when I have too much too often I really do feel it has something to do with it. I got in a phase where I was drinking too much so i'm laying off. Still letting myself, but not as often and as much.
  14. Another terrible day...I am sooo tired from a busy first day at work where I barely had time to eat. I only got bites here and there so lunch is a two parter. B: Protein shake (about 1/2) L: Few bites of tuna and a few cheese cubes L: Three bites of a hamburger patty and a few chips which I PB'ed D: Lo mein - got a few bites in and again PB'ed Exercise - was on my feet running around campus all day moving boxes, setting up tables and putting out fires. My arms are like jello so i'm considering that a workout! Water: X X X X X Total calories: 600 i'm guessing can't get anything down. Work is so stressful and it isn't gonna get any better anytime this week. Taking soup and soft foods to work tomorrow to try to get some calories in. Bleh! Can I just win the lottery please!
  15. Sorry i'm behind. Work is soooo busy right now and it is stressing me out which you will see in my diet! Promised i'd post no matter what! B: None L: vanilla ice cream - too tight for solids and that was available - sad... D: chips and salsa, 1 cheese enchilada and black beans S: 3 glasses of wine Exercise - had to work all day and was running around moving stuff and what not, so i'm sure I burned some calories there! Water: X X X X X Total calories: 1,000 (mostly wine!) Oh and this was my 10 month bandiversary!
  16. I agree going to Dr. O is the best decision you could make. I have no regrets and would do it all over again. Keep us up to date on your journey!!!
  17. My friend Sherry sells it and i'm about to start buying from her. If you are interested and want her contact info PM me.
  18. For me it just depended on the person. Some friends and family knew right away and my mom went with me. I told those I knew would be supportive. I had some friends that were concerned and asked a lot of questions, but it was just b/c they cared. I've told others as the time is right as others did. Only the folks that I know will be supportive know. I have some friends that I adore, but they have been skinny their whole lives and they would just not get it. They think just eat salad and you will be OK. Although they have always been skinny and that is not what they do. As you feel it is right tell who you want. Good luck!
  19. Same here i've taken my BC pills the whole time no problem! In the other dept I wasn't dating anyone at the time so I can't help out about that topic early on, but now has not been an issue.
  20. B: Mini container of beef ravioli (250 cal) - woke up STARVING and needed something of substance L: Chicken fettuchini alfredo and 5 townhouse crackers (400) D: TBA - going to the Royals game so i'm gonna try to be as good as I can Exercise: Had to move boxes all day so that is my exercise! Water: X X X X
  21. Pinwheels are an appetizer. There are lots of recipes for them, but this is what I do: Mix some light cream cheese and salsa together and put it on a low calorie tortilia The put some shredded cheese on it. Then you wrap it tight and put it in the fridge for a couple hours. Then after it is nice and cold you cut them into about 1 inch pieces. Not the most healthy thing but easy and good. Some folks put olives in them and other stuff like crab meat, but I keep mine simple. If I did the math right they are 30 calories per slice, so not too terrible.
  22. B: EAS protein shake (about 1/2) L: Chips and cheese, one cheese enchilada and beans S: 5 townhouse crackers and two pinwheels I made for a meeting tonight D: Pinwheels and chex mix Calories so far: 900 Exercise: None tonight i'm taking a rest day. My body is hurting i've been working a lot so I need to rest Water: X X X
  23. I agree totally on the baby steps. Many people try to go out and go full force and then burn themselves out. STart slow and work your way up. For me, having a picture of my niece around does it for me. She is the reason I did this I can't have her remembering me as the aunt that couldn't play w/ her in the yard b/c I was too big. So seeing this pretty much does it for me... You can do it!!!
  24. That is fantastic!! It's not uncommon at all for some of the fluid to magically disappear on folks i've heard that a lot. And I agree - when i'm down coming in here helps me and keeps me motivated so come in here as much as you can. I'm sure this fill will get you going again. Great job!
  25. GREAT JOB!!! I agree you really can tell a big difference!!! Even if I don't feel a difference I still take pics every 10lbs lost so I can track it. We are always the last to see it of course!!! Keep it up!!!!!!
