  1. OK great i'm glad to know it's not just me! And I love that this could equal restriction! I haven't had any before this but today is my first day back on solids since my 4th fill and I can definitely eat way less. So let's hope this is it! I have dinner with friends on Saturday, so i'm gonna test the waters on a few things before that so I lessen the chance of getting sick. Gotta love the weird quirks of the band! I'll take them though any day!
  2. OK, so since my last fill, I have had this weird gurgling sound when I eat. Does anyone else get this? As long as I eat slow then doesn't get stuck, but I was eating lunch at my desk yesterday and I felt like if someone were sitting there they would have totally heard this sound coming out of my stomach! Best way to describe it is a gurgling sound or like a clogged drain finally coming loose. Please let me know if anyone else has this. Again like I said nothing was getting stuck, but the sound was a little embarrassing! Don't need someone hearing that. Never had it until this last fill so maybe it is restriction but not sure. thanks!!
  3. I don't utilize them daily, but there are some days I do not get enough in and it has had a direct impact on my weight loss. On the days I need them, I do 1/2 of a vial a day which is about 22g.
  4. Hey there! Just sent you a message with a bunch of info in it!!!!
  5. Never heard of that before that is really cool! I tried to start running a few years back, but I have bad knees so I have to be careful. I still am going to do it but not long distances. Good luck I can't wait to hear how it goes!!!!
  6. They do stink, but look at you - you pushed through and it sounds like you are back on track. It just shows folks that they happen to everyone and that they eventually will pass. Way to stick it out!!!! Great job and thanks for sharing!! I think it is important for folks to hear that are going through the same thing. Show them there is light at the end of the tunnel!
  7. WOW!!!!! Congrats on your success!!!!! My first goal is 150 and I will tell you there will be tears when I hit that!!!! You have done such a fantastic job!!!! Be sure and buy something pretty or pamper yourself to celebrate!!!!!
  8. Great tips and I completely agree with all of them! I get another fill on Tues and i'm hopeful that it will put me at my spot so I can follow these more. I'm pretty anal about my vitamins, protein and fiber, but otherwise I don't freak myself out about what I eat. I try to get fruits and veggies at at least 2 of my 3 meals. I am preparing to go low to no dairy here soon, but that is because I am lactose intolerant and allergic to milk and it is stopping me up (sorry, TMI!). I've started taking calcium chews and am basically eating what dairy is left in my house and then hitting it. Thanks again for the tips and congrats on your success!!!!
  9. Welcome!!!!! I understand what you are going through. I booked in July and wasn't banded until October b/c that was the first time I could take that much time off work. It will come before you know it!!! Take tons of time to read through old posts and if you have other questions let us know. Take care!!!
  10. Congrats and best of luck! You will sail through no problems. Hop on the computer and let us know how it went once you are done. I always love the emails people send when they are doped up!
  11. Totally agree...sounds like this was meant to be and you will be in very good hands!!!!
  12. HI there! I have a bit to go, but know I will need work on my arms. I've found a couple doctors but curious who you talked to and what you think if them. Any feedback is appreciated! I might be able to get away with the tummy, but my arms are already a mess and i've got a ways to go. Thanks!!!
  13. I am soooo glad it all went well for you!!! I wasn't going to tell you until after, but I had to get poked 4 times to get my IV in, but each time it really didn't hurt that bad. I am notorious for them not being able to hit my vein, so that didn't surprise me at all, but she made it so much easier on me! One of the dreamy doctors and I watched Jerry Springer, it was very relaxing as odd as that sounds! Glad all went well !!!!
  14. Hope you are feeling better! I agree with everyone that said dehydration - my guess is that is what it is. I was like you, it wasn't all rainbows and lollipops for me after surgery, I was a crabby hurting bitch! We tried to go to Revolution Ave like everyone talked about and I didn't last long b/c I was just in too much pain. Just remember everyone is different so don't worry if you are more sore than others say they were. It took me almost 3 weeks to really feel back to normal and about 2 to feel functionable. So don't worry you are doing fine! Good luck and keep us up to date on how you are doing!!!
  15. I had my worst nightmare come true - i've had two heart surgeries and I woke up during the first one. All I remember was this stupid inspirational poster on the ceiling and the nurse saying "she's waking up"! Creepy as all hell! But as far as my band, I remember them taking me in and me getting on the table, and the next thing I remember was me back in my room which I thought was right after surgery , but apparently it was like 2 hours later and my mom had had some big conversation with Dr. O and was about to head back to the hotel! I somehow missed it all! Like being really drunk at a party and someone having to tell you the next day what you did.
  16. Oh yeah...I was banded in October and i still have gas. Luckily mine doesn't cause much bloating, but mine does come out both ends. Luckily (TMI) mine don't tend to smell, so I can just let it go pretty much wherever I am. I think this is something we will have now for the rest of our lives. Before, I could never burp even if I tried and now I can let it rip with the best of them. I actually kind of like that. Before I would be miserable wishing I could burp so i'm actually seeing this as a positive. Just a quirk of the band, but i'll take it! =D>
  17. Ditto! I would go back to Dr. O or have Dr. Martinez do it in a heartbeat! I can't even explain how great my experience was there and i'd recommend it to anyone! Good luck and let us know what you decide!
  18. Oh I am so happy for you! I know you have been working hard so i'm glad you are seeing results! I hope it keeps up! >
  19. Welcome to the group - we are excited to have you here! I encourage you to read back many months in posts and you will find so much valuable information here. This is a great resource and will make you feel very comfortable about your decision. Congrats and I can't wait to hear about all your success! You will be a vet before you know it!
  20. Thank you so much for posting this! I am getting close, but think I need one more fill to be where you are. I've heard of this mythical place known as restriction, but am not quite there yet. I get full much faster, but do not get that wow i'm full feeling and I use more willpower to make me stop. Next week i'm going to schedule one more small fill and I really think I will be there. Congrats on your success! Your story I could have written myself we are just alike with our experience with weight. I'm so glad to hear you are feeling positive! Keep up the great work!
  21. Welcome to the other side! Congrats and i'm glad it all went well!!
  22. Congrats! That is so very exciting and on your birthday none the less! Just one of many upcoming milestones! Great job!
  23. Best of luck! I am sure it will all go great. Let us know after you are done!
  24. Congrats girl! I really hope this fill does the trick for ya!
