I read that they didn't have flouro and I am going to ask Dr Oritiz more information when I go for my band. I am also going to ask my local MD some questions. It is confusing because I have read so many different opinions! I was told by the fill center to bring a copy of my post-operative report to the appointment. I thought that was great advice since you never know what will come up medically in your future. Have you told many people what you are doing?

THANKS Joanne! I felt better just reading your post! it's funny how sometimes you'll be cruising along just fine thinking ,,, hey no problem ... I got this,,, then BAM!! you are filled with self doubt~! I know that I am making the right choice 94% of the time,,,,I just have to pull it together the other 6% I like the new adventure idea, it truly is going to be a wild ride. and it's true about the the people here, there is always someone who has been there too. I have started drinking the protein water in the late afternoon and that really does take the edge off! try it it works! sue

I've started the diet but am having a REALLY hard time after work,, it makes me nervous how hard it is, I wonder if I'll be able to do it once the band is in place~ I'm also having a harder time sleeping the closer it gets,,, am I the only one this anxious??!!

I am scheduled for the 10/24,,, I"m excited BUT freaking out a little! I am also worried about New Prague not have Flouro- and I don't think I can afford to go to Mexico everytime.

Hi I'm from SE MN close to Rochester. I had the same question, is New Prague the only place?? I hope there are some other bandsters who know! Do you have your band already?

Hi! I'll be having my surgery on the 24th too, I'm flying down with my sister as well. She is not getting banded but is watching closely how it goes ;) good luck.. I can't believe how fast this month is going! we'll be there before you know it!

I am not a coffee drinker but I havn't read anything here that says you can't have it post band. You are right about the carbonated drinks and beer though, they are a NO NO. Thanks! I can handle giving up soda, beer is going to be hard but the thought of coffee too made me reallyyyyyy sad!

WELCOME! I'm new too and I agree with you, it is awesome to be able to hear from real people going through the same things! You will be getting banded 10 days before me, have you started your pre-diet yet? Your the first person I've ever met from the UK,, how cool is that! I live on a dairy farm in Minnesota with my family,, I also work in Human Resources at a large medical facility- It will be a long road,, but I keep thinking it's better than the alternatives! I'm worried about the holidays too,, but my biggest problem at the moment is thinking that I better eat ____ fill in the blank cuz I won't be able to have it again! Hi I'm flying in 10/23, I'm meeting my sister at the airport in CA (she will not let me go by myself ). Surgery on the 24th, excited!! I haven't told anyone else besides my sister and husband yet. This is my first post and I'm looking forward to meeting everyone.
