  3. Shelby! I LOVE THE NEW PIC! You look AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU GO GIRL! Carrie
  4. ME, Me, Me, I wanna a pole....lol.. My husband I think would have heart failure if a UPS man came to our door step with a pole...LOL OMGoshhhhhh that would be SO funny! Stormy, I have love hearing how your pole classes were going, this is one thing that I so want to do but I am going to waitt until I get my tummy tuck, more toward my goal weight. I thnk it is GREAT that you have found something you love to do that helps with exercise, I have not been so lucky, I have gotten into a really bad slump and dont want to do any exercise, I have to get back on track. Tony Horton is just waiting for me to come home everyday (P90X)...lol.....but I just cant seem to get back into the grove.... Good Luck to you and keep us posted! Carrie
  5. Sabrina, I truely think the frustation with the band is a big issue for alot of people and I have to remind myself SO often to forget everything and just be Carrie. When I am in a "postive" mood about all of this, is usually when I am not freaking out about the scales not moving and working out. If I set a goal not to weigh for a week or two and work out WHEN I want to work out this seems to help me because I am not in a bad mood because I gotta come home and work out, it is not fun for me right now, so I do it when I want to. This seems to put me in a more postive and better mood, therefore I am not stressed out ALL the time. This is when the weight starts coming off for ME. I know you know your body, but maybe you have gotten yourself so worried that there is something wrong that you are looking for something to be wrong. Try to take a deep breath and not to worry about anything for the rest of the week and see how it works for you. I know that is easier said than done. I do wish you the best and please keep us updates. You have done so great! Carrie
  6. ok here it the update..... I HATE SCALES! This morning I woke up not feeling really great about gong and stepping on the scales, however I did. I am now at 201.2. ugggggggggggggghhhhhhhhh. I guess it is back to staying off the scales for a couple of days and stop STRESSING on the 199. I know that is the problem and I just need to live life ! Ok so I am not going to weigh until Monday morning and see how I do, this will give me a couple of days to try to keep my mind off of weighing. Thanks for the posts everyone! To be continued............ Carrie
  7. Everyone knows that one of the major milestones is getting under the 200 lb mark. I have been fighting for this for SO long. I dont think I am ever going to get out of them. I have been struggling to get below since my 6 month weigh in on May 14th. , I was at 207 at 6 months. Well I received fourth fill on Saturday and I just new this monring was going to be the morning. As soon as my eyes popped open I jumped out of bed and RAN to the scales. Put one foot on them and took it off. Removed all my clothing and thought, hmmm what else can I do, soooooooo I know, go pee!...I went a squeezed everything that I could possible get out..lol and RAN back to the scales. Took a deep breath and step on them. Closed my eyes and opened one eye and then the other, mouth dropped to the floor! 200.0 !!!!!!!! I was so freaking MAD! ...... 200.0 ......U GOT TO BE JOKING! OMGoshhhhhh am I EVER going to get to 199..lol I started to go put them in front of my car and run them over! but then I thought......tomorrow morning, I have tomorrow morning....Im feeling lucky and I will let everyone know in the morning! Keep your fingers and toes crossed for me guys! Carrie
  8. Just wanted to say good luck to you! Let us know how everything goes! Carrie
  9. Karen OMGoshhh P90X...WOW...It is a VERY advanced workout. My husband and I ordered this about 4-5 months ago. It is 15 DVD's that you follow and do 6 days a week for 90 days!....The videos are anywhere from 58 mins to an hour and half a day depending on which day you are on. The things that you will need are a pull up bar or bands, hand weights, for you 20lbs should be the heavist you should need, and a yoga mat. I do the vidoes but I can only do so much, which honestly is not much. I think my biggest problem with the vidoes is I need to loose much more weight to be physical able to do them. You are at a great weight and should be able to work you way into it and be able to keep up with it. You can go to BeachBody.com and take a look at the videos. You can order it for around $120.00 . It is all about Muscle confusion, not letting your muscles get use to the same ole thing day in and day out. My hubby loves it, I hide from it right now...lol but I am sure in a couple 4-5 months from now I will be more physical able to keep up with it! Good Luck! Carrie

  11. Robbyn! Glad to hear from you and WOW how time flies. I am glad that everything seems to be picking up for you, that is such wonderful news! Keep your head high and hang in there, you will do great! As far as the fill, please dont be scared. I was too and then after I got it, I was like hmmmmm is that all!....lol My birthcontrol shots that I use to get was worse!... Best wishes to you! Cant wait to hear how it goes! Carrie
  12. Sabrina, When I went for my fill local, my fill Doctor told me that now is when the amounts is really going to make a difference for me. She said that since I was at 3cc that just a little could be a HUGE difference. She gave me .30cc based on the fact that I had started eating breakfast which I have Never been able to before (could not eat eggs anytime of day and could eat them for breakfast) and I was also starting to get extremely bad hunger pains, but only at dinner, which I have never had. She asked me to hang around in town for a couple of hours and gave me her cell # in case it tightened. I live 3 hours away from my fill doctor so she didnt want me leaving if I was too tight. She stated that if I started to burp alot or when I drank it sat in my throat to call and come back to her so she could take some out. I was ok, felt kinda like when I first came home tight....but later that afternoon I felt REALLY tight. It scared me due to the fact it was very uncomfortable tight, just wanted to breath really deap and let it out but couldnt. Today has been SOOO much better, feels like any other day and I think alot of it is due to the fact I have just stopped worrying about it. I was getting in liquids so I trusted I was ok. I drank my 8 ounce protein shake this morning and ate a little bit of pudding for lunch and felt ok. As far as your pains you are having, I would really express my concerns to your doctor, maybe they need to look again just to make sure. The part where you said you "feel" banded. This was the first time since being banded that I have ever could truely feel it. Good Luck and please keep us posted! Carrie
  13. I am 7 months post op and I still get them as well. The only time that I get them is mostly when I am hungry, for some reason this is my trigger (mostly at dinner) when I am getting really hungry. I have learnt that If I eat before 6:30, then I dont get them. I also get them if I drink liquids too fast. Good Luck! Carrie
  14. Thanks Lisa! I think I am just worried because like I said, I felt this one and never have I before. I will continue tomorrow on liquids and then will start out with soft foods for a couple of days and see how it goes. Your the best! Carrie
  15. I just wanted to say Congrats! The 199 mark is so huge for us and it is a wonderful feeling to see that I am sure. As far as your food, you are being very honest with yourself and that is all that matters. We are all human! Keep up the good work! Carrie
  16. I knew that this post was out there somewhere. Ok had my fourth fill yesterday and now I am at 3.30CC in my band. I am VERY VERY TIGHT! I have never "felt" my fills before so this is SUCH a different feeling than I have ever had and of course just want to make sure that it is ok. I am on day two of the fill so I am on liquids. I have to drink very slow and aww WARM feels so good. I dont have ANY problems with liquids, just have to drink slow. At times, when I breath in and I sware I can feel the band around me squeezing. IT does NOT hurt when I drink. I feel it when i am just breathing now and then, I take a deep breath and let it out seems to make me feel better. Almost like have a SUPER tight pair of Jeans on and then u unbotton them and feel SO much better....lol Weird somparison, sorry that is all I could think of. I am just cuuriuos, Im sure this is just because I am SO tight, just dont want to hurt my band. Carrie
  17. Shelby, Just wanted to let you know that I did get my fill today, I am pretttttyyyy tight. I am now at 3.30ccs. I have a question, I have read several different post today about "cold drinks". What is this about, not sure I have heard anything about this before so I am curious. Carrie
  18. Red, Boy do I know what you are going through. My Hubby was so scared for me, it took almost the month before I left before he would even be ok to talk about it. He was so scared something was gong to happen to me. He also had the same concerns as your hubby is having. The metal part for me was not bad as far as the preop diet and the 21 days of liquids. I became REALLy obessed with the weight, the scales, doing everything correct...etc......I wanted to let you read a post that I posted about four months into being banded. As you can see in this post, I have became a health NUT! The band controls the amount of food you eat, you have to control the type of food you eat, that is the hardest part! Maybe this will explain a little about what you WILL go through!......... I just want to post some advice that I received from a friend of mine. Today is my fouth month banded. I wanted to post this. This was my response to one of social kids post.......but who knows, might help someone else. I had lunch with a friend of mine that was banded two years ago and is a size 4 now. I have been getting so frustrated, today is 4months for me! I have decided I HATE SCALES. I was weighing everyday, then twice a week and then once a week. My friend told me to stop EVERYTHING that I was doing and to live, just live life. She told me that I have now went from being obessed with food, to now being obessed with scales, protein, fiber, weights, walking, everthing I do or say is about this band which will cause so much stress and depression. She could have not been so correct. I think I thought ok, I have the band, the weight is going to fall off, wow was I WRONG! The more I was wrong the more obessed with doing everthing correct the more discouraged I was getting because I was doing everthing correct and the weight was still not falling off. I hope that makes since, feel like I am rambling. I have decided to live, just live life. Keep eating the correct food with my exercise but just live. This has been for the past week or two. Well guess what. I went for my third fill yesterday and am happy to report I had lost 9 lbs of fat and gained 3 pounds of muscle since my last fill a little over a month ago. Red, this for me was just me doing a 360 from my old habits and food I was eating. I am such more of a healthier eater than ever! and guess what, my hubby has lost 30 pounds and is a HUGE health nut now...lol.............He currently is doing P90X....still a little tough for me. Carrie
  19. Ashley, I would say you could eat veggies starting on day three. It really did good for me. Good luck and keep us posted! As far as the sweets, OMGosh I have NEVER been a sweet person but I truely have to watch it now. I CRAVE sweets as well, 99% of the time I want Ice Cream. I have NEVER been an ice cream eater...hmmm. I think that is why I LOVE my protein bar, gives me that sweet kick. Carrie
  20. Yes it is...... I agree with alot of things that Lisa and the others have said, but I think it depends on YOUR body. In my experience when I eat only when I am hungry, I do not seem to loose weight. I am more on the line with Dana. I HAVE to have the protein in the morning or I feel like crap as well and if I dont eat HIGH protien and drink alot of water, I seem to hold on to my weight. Right NOW at this moment..lol (I change so much) I am back to counting my calories, trying to hit 1200 a day (do a high and low day every other day) and get a high intake of PROTEIN. Good Luck! Carrie
  21. Angie Thank you so much for this post. I have struggled with this topic as well. TO eat or Not to eat. ...WOW. I feel like if I do eat only when I am hungry, I do not get the calories in. However, if I eat to get the Calories, I feel like I am eating just to be eat. Almost like I am tired of eating! Sounds SO weird to say that but so true! I cant wait to see everyones response! Carrie
  22. Dana, Thanks you for the support. I have been wondering how you have been doing, havent seen an update on you in a while. I love hearing how everyone is doing ! Shelby, Thanks, the first three days seem to do the trick. I am back to counting and trying to do high and low days on caloires to see how it will work for me. How is everything going with you? Carrie
  23. OK... So I weighed in this morning and I am holding at 202.8. The pouch test brought me down 3 lbs and it did seem to "tigthen" the band. Yesterday for lunch I got stuck on a couple of bits of brisket. Maybe this will give me the boost I need. Carrie
  24. Welcome and Im glad that you had a great experience! Good luck and keep us posted on your progress! Carrie
  25. Hi I just wanted to tell you a couple of things to try for the hunger, it REALLY helped me. One think it to eat foods loaded with protein. I drink a protein shake every morning for breakfast 24 grams of protein. Then if I want to eat a snack, I eat a protien bar, nuts or chese. Also I take one Chromium everyday and I take 2 fiber pills at 9am and 2 fiber pills at 3pm.. Dr Mirdana told me bout the fiber and chromium for the hunger and Honestly it does work! I am on day four of the 5 day pouch test and it has seem to get me back on track! Good luck to you! Carrie
