  3. Today is day two and not bad at all. I drank a Protien shake for Breakfast and Lunch and water through out the rest of the day and at Dinner. Today I have had my Protien shake and 20 oz of water, think Im going to shake for Lunch and maybe some Coffee. I cant seem to do the chicken broth anymore..lol. Im sure this would help someone if they have not had a fill. Like Shelby says, it does help you to get back on track. The five day pouch test is the following: Day one and Two Liquids.....Protien Shakes, clear liquids, broth, cream soups, Sugar free jello and or pudding. Day three Soft foods....Tuna, eggs, soft fish such as tilapia etc..... Day Four Firm Foods..Ground meat, (turkey, beef, chicken) veggies, etc Day Five Solid foods... chicken, steak, pork etc...   4. Hey guys~! I have decided to do the pouch test. I started this morning, so far so good. I have really bad platues that seem to last FOREVER! Just wanted to know how this worked for the ones that have done it. Did you see a difference in the tightness of your band? Did it "kick start" your weight loss? Thanks Carrie

  8. Thanks for the replies! I dont think I have figured out what my calorie intake should be for me. I do have high calories days and low calorie days just to keep the confusion there. I have went anwhere from 900 to 1300 calories from week to week and tried mixing it up in one week. Seems just not be getting there. Im gonna try to up my water intake, have been lacking on that. I think I am going to give it a couple more weeks and see what happens. Carrie
  9. Sabrina, You have done so well with this experience and I am so glad that you went and had a wonderful time. I have a ways to go, I think one of the hardest things for me to deal with is when someone has not seen me in a while. I guess I still dont "mind feel" smaller....which for some strange reason I thought I would. Anyway Congrats! You look great! Carrie
  10. OMGosh !!!!!!!!!!! YES. I dont think that I am going to EVER get there! I have been trying to get there and have came to a holt. It get so frustating at time, however You look AMAZING! You will get there!!! Carrie
  11. Hey Guys! I know that we are suppose to loose between 1-2 pounds per week. I was wonder if everyone really looses this each week? I feel like I am in platues all but a week and half a month and then I will loose around 5-6 pounds. I count EVERYTHING that goes into my mouth, not obessing, just aware. I am currently doing P90X vidoes which are SO hard. (think I'm gonna hide them from Hubby ) We are on week 3, 6 days a week, anywhere from 1 hour to 1 hour and half a day, depending on which day you are on. As far as my food, I still have to be careful on the food I eat so that I dont get stuck and I am eating still around the same amount, some days more, some days less. Just wondering if it is not time for that little bit of a fill? Carrie

  14. Robbyn, Honestly I have such mixed emotions about the scales, Truly a Love, Hate Relationship! I too still think about taking them out of the house, but I just cant seem to do it. They frustrate me SO much at times, but other times I think they are keeping me on track. I do try to go at least a full week. I am so close to 199, so it is going to be hard to put them away. You will do great what ever decision you make! Carrie

  16. Sabrina, You are doing AMAZING with your weight loss. You are 195 lbs!!!!! That is SO GREAT!... Yooo Hoooo Sabrina, you are 195 lbs !!!! LOL YOU GO GIRL! You say you are loosing about half a pound a week, that is great. I will go for WEEKS and not loose nothing and then drop. As far as the hunger, just old habits, that is so understandable. To be 100 % honest, I have had to remove everything that I munch on out of my house and out of my office. There is nothing here for me to munch on..lol but I know that is hard to do with kids! Just an idea, but maybe try this for a couple of days and see how it works for you. Everytime you are "hungry" drink a glass of water instead. Also something that works for me is going through photo album and look at pics before you were banding and pics then look at yourself today. This helps me so much! Good Luck to ya! Carrie
  17. Lindsay, I too agree. I got my first fill and did not have any restriction. I did go back at two weeks just to make sure that it did not tighten. Every doctor is different but my fill Doc in the states told me at least two weeks. Good luck PS...I too like the new pic! Carrie

  23. Shelby! Congrats on the 50lbs. You look GREAT! I also have never really thought about the salt issue and I do go to the "devils resturant" lol...Mexican food about once every two weeks. I also have a Margarita and of course those chips and dip! errrrr.. .... Not only that My hubby is addicted to Tony Sacheries, we have to have that on EVERYTHING and OMGosh, I checked the salt content, I think that is all that is in it! ............BAD BAD BAD!!! Good luck to you on the fill issue, that is a hard choice somtimes to make. Carrie
  24. What does everyone think about having to hit 1200 calories a day. Lisa do you eat 1200 calories a day? Maybe I am just stuck on thinking I have to eat this amount to loose. Again most of the things I have researched says that you will not loose if you eat under this. I think I need to really rethink what I am doing and stop trying to eat 1200 calories a day and just eat my three meals or when I am hungry and see how that works. Currently I am eating 1200 calories a day, 60 oz of water a day and round 85-90 grams of protein a day. Carrie
  25. I agree with you Sabrina, about the snacking and food in General. I think I do need to try what Lisa is saying, to eat when I am hungry. This reason I started snacking was because I was not hitting my 1200 calories a day and I was told that is why I was not loosing. I started doing a monring and afternoon snack so that I could hit my 1200 calories a day. I know everyone is different and maybe my body does not need the 1200 calories. Also Jazzy brought up the fact that she had started snacking on fruit. I too have started fruit in place one the 100 calories snack packs, I snack on either a piece of fruit or a protein bar, gives me my sweet kick. I will finish the day on my "schedule" and I think tomorrow I am going to eat ONLY when I am hungry and see how that works for a bit. Alot of the time I am eating because it is 10:00 am and it is time for my snack, not because I am hungry. There are very few times that I can say that I was actually hungry, where your stomach hurts due to hunger. I am eating because "I need those 1200 calories"......hmmmmmmmm Carrie
