  2. Amanda, Yes, I had my first fill and I could eat anything. I felt like it was all up to me to do this. I was on the phone with my fill Doctor at lunch scheduling my second fill. I told here that I could eat anything and felt like I had NO fill. I did schedule my second fill. I got off the phone and started to eat my lunch. I had brought a pork chop for lunch, being that I could eat anything. Well the phone rang and I chewed a couple of times and swallowed. OHMYGOSH, guess what, I found out I HAD A BAND!!!! I got stuck and it hurts so bad. Pork chop went in the trash and I dont ever want another one...lol. Just saying be careful. My second fill is very tight. When I look back on what I was eating before my second fill, I honestly was not eating as much as I thought I was. I think I had it in my mind, a couple of bits and I will be done. I had to realize I sill have to eat. Now I can not eat eggs and have a problem with meat. I get the "stuck" feeling very easy. I sometimes wonder if the "Self Control" with a smaller fill is not better than my tight fill. Good Luck? Carrie
  3. Jazzy, You are such an Insperation to all of us here! I love the towel story. I catch myself checking out the towel everynight, to see how much further I have until it goes all the way around without skin showing...lol. I think you are great and thanks for sharing this with us! Keep up the GREAT work! Carrie
  4. ... Hey Amanda, Ok, well I guess I got my wish. Second fill was last Friday and I think my band has tightened throughout the week. I have gotten very moist chicken, scrambled eggs stuck and am having a big problem with meat. I guess I am pretty tight right now. I have not clue what to eat now...lol. Always have been some kind of meat eater....ANY SUGGESGTIONS?
  5. Hi Kristy, Wow you are doing GREAT! For me my first fill I could eat anything and more than I though I should be eating. After my second fill was the first time that I have felt GOOD restriction. I eat my 3 oz of food and I have the restriction. The problem I am having is knowing ok, it is time to stop. It is hard to determine when I am "full" before I get stuck. The feeling that I get is almost like I am vey close to getting food stuck. I have gotten food stuck twice and OH MY! It is HORRIABLE! Yes getting Stuck = PAIN. ok..I feel like I am talking in circles..I hope this did not confuse you! Good Luck and Keep up the good Work! Carrie
  6. Ckiki, I did not really understand either, however I had my first experience being stuck last week. I was at work and had just taken a bit of pork chop and the phone started to ring and of course I chewed a couple of time and swallowed to answer the phone. Let me just say it hurst so bad. The band is not down in your stomach like you would think it was, it is placed very high. When the food gets stuck or when mine got stuck, it felt like I had been stabbed between my breast. The pain last for about 10 min and there was nothing I could do but double over and hold my chest. After about 10 mins, I threw it up. Trust me if you gets stuck you will know it and to be honest I dont care if I EVER eat another chop again EVER!!! lol.. Good Luck and Hope this helps! Carrie
  7. Hey Sabrina, I have had to work out of town for a couple of days and I too ate pizza. I was able to eat 2 small peices and I felt sooo bad about that choice, you would have thought I had ate the whole entire pizza. I find my self only eating little amounts but I am thinking I am eating soo much food. I did get a second fill Friday and have been on liquids, so tomorrow I might try some soft foods. We will see how that goes. Good luck to ya girl! Carrie
  8. Hi Melly, I have only been banded a short time, but one thing that for me has been frustrating is the fact that I feel like I am on a diet, which honestly I am from the foods I use to eat. I eat Healthy foods now which is a GREAT thing, but I do have to weigh my food and tell my self to stay away fromt he NO NO foods. It is not this magic band that will not let you eat the foods you are not suppose to eat, you have to make that choice. Good Luck!
  9. I cant wait to I find a food that does suprise me..lol I had my second fill today, will be on liquids till Monday, hope this fill gives me some restriction....
  10. Labella, How have I lost my weight, by reading everything Jazzy has to say...lol Honestly, I have lost by logging on this site everyday. I ask questions and I read others questios as well. I listen to what the other have experienced and the advise they give. Like Jazzy and SO MANY others have said, I weight my food, I eat 1200 calories a day, I eat HIGH protien foods to get my 60 grams a day and I try my best to stay away from the NO NO foods. I try to exercise at least 30 mins on my biker everyother day. It is tough, almost like I am on a diet. Today I got my second fill. I received another 1.0cc in my band for a total of 2.5cc. I hope this gives me the restriction I am needing. Good luck and I hope this helps! Carrie
  11. Just wanted to say WOW!!! I HATE frying chicken and so I tried this tonight for my family. This is very easy to make and very delicious!!!! It was a huge hit with my hubby and kids! Thanks for the post! Carrie
  12. Hi, As always you do GREAT post!. I would like to know if you could share a sample day off of your menu with us. I always love to know what everyone else is doing. Carrie
  13. Hi Ckiki, I love popcorn as well and I can eat it. I was banded on 11-14-09 and received my first fill on 01-09-09. I can eat anything except Bread, it feels gummy. I was a BIG bread eater and now I do not even want it. I have 1.5cc in my band and I think bread is the ONLY thing that I cant eat. I am back to weighing my food and watch what I eat. I hope maybe my second fill will be a better fill for me. Good Luck! Carrie
  14. Hi, Please dont get discouraged. I was banded 11-14. After the 1st week on post op, I went for four weeks and lost nothing. I was getting frustrated as well. I got my first fill on 1-9-09 and I am doing better. I finally started to loose again. One thing that I think I was doing wrong was I was not eating my calories. I was not getting my 1200 a day and I was not getting enough protien. I have started really trying to hit my 1200 a day with high protien foods, this seems to be helping. Good Luck and hang in there. Carrie
  15. Sabrina, Thanks I need all the chearing I can get. I dont think I was born a size 8..lol. All through Junior High and High school I have always been a "fluffy" girl. I think the smallest I can remember in Junior High is a 14. I am currently in a Old Navy 16. I say that because I have found out that ALL Jeans are soo different. I have been stuck between 230 and 233 for almost 4 weeks. I have busted my butt to try to break the 230 mark. I am so EXCITED to say that I did it!!!!!!!!!!! I weighed this morning and I am at 228.4 WOO HOOO!! I have been on full liquids since friday so I am sure that help!! Good Luck to you as well. I will be chearing you on too! Carrie
  16. I had my first fill as well on Friday. I did not go back to the OCC for it, wished I could have. I got 1.5cc in my 4cc band. I am feeling pretty tight, almost like when I came home. I have had 1/2 soup at hand for lunch and 1/2 for Dinner. Good Luck to you!
  17. Hi Fircracker! I think this post is GREAT!. I love to see what eveyone else is eating. I have used that post that I posted and still find it very hard to get the protein. I eat eggs for breakfast, very hard for me to to do, not very hungry in the morning so I try to drink something warm first. For Lunch and Dinner I try to have fish, tuna, or red meat. I have found that pinto beans are very high in protien so I at alot of Pinto Beans. I have read all the pinto bean cans and the best with the most protrein, less carbs and calories are Bushes pinto beans and they are VERY good! Alot of people also have suggested Chili from Wendys, it is VERY VERY good as well and vey high in protien. I also eat 21 cashews...lol for a snack if I am hungry, helps with the 1200 calories I am suppose to be eating! They say that you are suppose to get your protien from food. I did email Dr. Miranda and ask her about this. I ask if I could replace my breakfast or lunch with a protien shake and she told me that was ok to do. I dont know if you have a smoothie king but I have found a shake that is SOOOOOOOOO good. It is a high protien Moca Almond Skinny. It has 42 grams of protien in it, so I will have this for breakfast alot of times. Hope this has helped some. I look forward to hearing what the other bandsters suggest as well. We all can help each other out! Good Luck!
