  1. Angie! I love the fact that you can admit that you are a scale Whore...TOO FUNNY!!! I am glad to hear that I am not thing only one too! wheewww I have never really looked at the part about stepping on the scales are rewarding myself with the weight loss but OMGoshh you are SO correct. I did good this week or I did not gain, so lets go to Starbucks...WOW do I have this very wrong! Thanks for pointing this out to me and making me understand this!!!! I would LOVE to join in with you! You have such great ideas and WONDERFUL advice, why would we not all want to join in with you!!! Love ya girl! Carrie
  2. First day back at work, very busy! B- Oatmeal S-Starbuck light w/Sugar Free Carmel Frap L- 1/2 Cup Green beans with onions and bacon, 1 slice of cheese, a peice of Turkey S-None D-1 Slice of cheese, 3/4 cup Pinto Beans with Deer Meat and Rotelle w/5 crackers Water 20 oz

  5. Robbyn, I just LOVE your post! I think you did GREAT!!!! I wished I could say the only thing I ate bad at Thanksgiving was 2 cups of green bean caserole..lol...lets add about 2 pieces of apple pie, a peice of chocolate pie, pecan pie....TRUST ME the list goes on and on!!! My mom even called me the next day to make sure I was "ok" because she said..."You sure did eat good"..LMAO! Yeah I had a REALLY bad day! I did not eat much "food food" I ate sweets ALL day!!! All I can do is kick my butt back in gear! I know I DID HORRIBLE but whats done is done and now I have to do better! You are doing WONDERFUL and you new pic is just AWESOME!!! You will get there and I cant wait to see that 205!!!!! Carrie

  7. B-None - Slept until almost 10:00 am S-None L- Mexican Food - Chips and Dip- about 3 table spoons of Taco Salad S-Went to movie so I stopped and bought a reeces instead of getting popcorn, still bad but WAY less calories D- A Yogurt and a Grapefruit - Not too hungry tonight....
  8. I just had to post this, I found the recipe that I cooked yesterday and I will not cook Green Beans the same EVER again! I made it Very low Cal and YUMMY!! WOW are these good! NEW fav in my casa! 1 large can of Green Beans ( I used the French Sytle) 4 Slices of Bacon (I used Turkey Bacon) 1 Med Onion chopped 3 Tbl Spoon Splenda In a skillet you Saute Onions chopped onions on Med Heat until Bacon is done, kinda crispy...Add Green Beans (I did drain a little off) and the splenda, cook on med for about 20 mins and then simmer another 10 mins or so. The longer you let them simmer, the better they are. Let me know what ya think Carrie

There are so many wonderful people and we all are going to the same thing, that is what is so COOL about it, very hard to talk to my friends that dont have a clue how hard it is and what we go through on a daily basis.....THIS IS SO NOT THE EASY WAY OUT.....   11. Hi Theresa! I just wanted to say HELLO and to tell you that you will do great! I have learnt through this process that ANYTHING is possible and wow what a Ride you are getting on! I did two shakes and one lean cuisine on my pre-op diet and lost 16 pounds in 17 days. I started out at 262 and will be the first to admit that I thought I would NEVER be able to do the pre-op diet. The first 3 days was the hardest for me and if I can do it ANYONE can do it. Something that Dr. Miranda told me to do, which I still do to this day is take 2 fiber pills at 9am and 2 fiber pill at 3pm everyday. This cuts your hunger pains and trust me they do work. It will help, I could tell you what time of the day it was by taking this pills...lol.. Also one chromium pill a day to help with engery. Good Luck, I am down 76 pounds in one year! YOU CAN DO THIS!!! Stay plugged in to this forum, read, post, rant, rave...whatever it takes we are here for you!!!!! Keep us posted and cant wait to see the new you!!!! Carrie

Cooking a T-Day Dinner for Hubby and the Boys....We always have to go seperate houses each year due to the Thanksgiving schedules so I am having ours Tonight B-Starbucks Frap S-None L-Banana - Piece of Apple pie ...errrr BAD BAD BAD. good news is....its the last peice in the house...lol D-Turkey, sweet potatoes with carmel apples/pecans and green bean dish(its new recipe im trying)...YUMMY! I am so excited and I would love for you to hang around on the forum, I really miss you! You have such wonderful advice and are SO encouraging to everyone! Please Please dont be a stranger ! Hi Ladies, I think my scales are broke, the seem to be stuck on 186, think I might need to get that checked....lol Did not get my fill yesterday, Doc says to close from surgery and he thinks I am doing good with my weight loss and wants me to wait at least 3-4 weeks.......Told me to learn patients...LOL Sabrina Y O U GO G I R L !!!! I dont know what the heck you are doing but damn you are doing GREAT!!!!! Send some of that magic my way Angie, I am SOOOO glad that your are out of thos 40's!!! 237 is WONDERFUL!!!! Congrats to you and I am still at home, I go back to work on Monday~ Revy, I think you should go out and buy you a new outfit!   18. HI ! I wanted to reply and say I think alot of us struggle with Self Image. For me I dont take compliments well at all. I have ALways been the big girl and still see myself that way. I dont feel different and for whatever reason I thought I would. Just thought skinny people felt skinny, I still feel the same as I did 76 pounds heavier. I have begun to love myself, Im not sure that I have ever loved myself but I think when all of these layers get pilled back, I will FULLY Love myself and be able to accept anything that is thrown at me. Lisa posted a comment something to the fact that nothing is impossible for her now, she is truely living her life!!!.....Wow did this really make me step back and really look at myself. I have came a LONG way and I should really be proud of myself and you should too. I have never been a person to be there for ME, always for everyone else. I think you have to find a balance. I have two teenage boys at home and a WONDERFUL husband that is my world! He is the one who actually started "Date night" in our marriage. IT IS WONDERFUL and Romantic and it works!!!! Marriage is W.O.R.K, nothing easy about it and for me I have to wake up every day and tell myself how lucky I am.....I have been a very miserable person for a VERY long time which has made my relationship not only with my husband but with everyone very hard. I had to change the person I was and Learn to LOVE ME....when I did this I also allowed my Husband in to love me. He had told me in the past, just let me love you and I never understood what he was saying, and it was because I did not love myself, so how was I going to let anyone else love me.....I think we really have to dig deep and find the root of our problems. I still am working on mine and have a long ways to go but I am getting there. As far as your husband and your marriage, you might have to set him down and ask for his patients and support through this...I came to a conclusion that I was SO SO SO tired of letting food, and my weight determine who I was. Take control of your situation, take control of the food and dont let the food control you....This journey is not easy, I will be the first to admit that I thought it was going to be but I was so very wrong.   20. Sabrina, You are doing such a great job and look BE-AU-TI-FUL. I wanted to thanks you for posting this. I have an appointment to get a fill today @ 2, now i am really going to talk to him fisrt before being just asking for the fill. I am not hungry between meals, feel like sometime i do eat too much , but i wonder how much of that is in my head. I kinda freak out sometimes at the fact if i do eat more than i think i should. It is amazing to me to look at our food now and thing is alot and other people are looking at you thinking you have lost it because u think it is sooo much food..... I really wonder if this is what is happening to me???? Carrie sorry bout the typos, on my phone and hard to edit =-)

  22. Angie I think you are doing great. I went back and looked at my stats and I guess about 6 months is when it started really slowing down for me. I have not had a fill in almost 6 months and I am really debating getting a "tweek", is that even a word..lol....I did contact the local Doctor hear and talked with them. I am going to call back on Monday and see if they will take me this coming week due to my GB Surgery, I might not can see them until my Doctor releases me and I might out to wait anyway for the gas and swelling to go down. My sister thinks I am crazy for wanting another fill right now, she thinks I should wait until after the Holidays so that I can eat???????? Is that not just too funny!...lol Anyway just want to say Im glad that you are still kicking! I have LOVED the visuals that you have been posting, I think it will help so many people understand!!! Again you are AMAZING and I just LOVE Ya! Carrie

  24. Hi Bogiesmom! I have read some of your post in regards to you having the bigger band and it seems that you are not happy with that. I just wanted to let you know that just about everyone that I know that has been banded in the US has the bigger band and are doing WONDERFUL! Before being banded at the OCC, I researched and had SEVERAL surgerons tell me that the bigger band is actually a better band due to the fact you have more room for adjustments and to work with on fills. I am NOT a doctor so the truth of this I DO NOT KNOW. I have a very close friend of mine that does have a larger band and she has lost about 20 more pounds than I have and was banded 2 months after me. I honestly dont think that the size of the band has anything to do with the amout of weight you will lose. You may require larger fills of course, but I think that someone with a smaller or larger band, a BIG fill or a SMALL fill, the Amount of fill in their band, I really dont think you can compare one to another. Everyone is SOOOO different, I think for alot of people it is their body chemistry, what food they are eat after being banded, if they are keeping their fills up (and sometimes I realy question the fill part, I have kept min up and still work my BUTT off). I guess what I am trying to say is that you will DO WONDERFUL with your bigger band. I sometimes get really scared with my little band being that I am at 3.30cc and still have a ways to go to my goal...... Keep a great attitude and you will do AWESOME! You will ROCK your big ole band! Carrie!
