Hi, my name is Tricia. I have not had the band but my sister and sister-in-law both had the band. My sis-in-law got it in April and lost 80 lbs through October. My sister got it in June and lost 30 lbs through the end of November. Both of them had to have their bands removed after 6 months because the band eroded into their stomachs. They each got infections as a result of the hole put into the stomach from the band. I'm trying to find out if others have experienced similar problems. Please help! They are emotionally in turmoil over this.
