Don't be embarrassed....I had gas issues after surgery and still do, I don't know if you can't burp, but if you can't that gas has to go somewhere....So fart away dear. Its been 1.5 years and I am at 2cc in my band and I am now finally able t burp, they are not normal burps, kinda like a burp struggling to get out!!! I think everyone has had or does have some sort of poo issues. Mine was always the opposite. I take benefiber in my coffee every morning and that keeps me regular. You can also add more bulk fiber by benefiber, or those other nasty tasting bulk fibers to see if your poo's harden up a bit. Drink more water...I like benefiber because it does not change the taste or texture of my food. I would not think you have Chrohn's or colitis, you would be having major abdominal pain with those, and be pooing till you thought your brains were coming out. Perhaps its more of a IBS issue. I think half the world has IBS...Some with increased poo, and othes with constipation. I think I have IBS with constipation, thus the benfiber works well for me. I do think that going to see your Dr. is a good thing. I see a colonoscopy in your future....Sorry but that is a diagnostic feature...If they do wanna do a colonoscopy make sure they use sedation so you don't remember it!!! Best of luck to you Kim

Ok so for me I didn't notice any hair loss. I do agree with the other posters it is a deficiency in something in your diet. Call Dr. Miranda and see what she suggests. Hair is protein, so that is where I would start... Kim

Put your little worried head at rest, you cannot feel the band around your stomach, unless you are able to palpate it...You cannot feel the port either. It will be a bit sensitive right after surgery, but I cannot feel my port and I sleep on my tummy! Good luck on your surgery..You won't ever regret it!!!! Kim

From a nurses point of view, I am not a OR nurse, a ER nurse so surgery is not my specialty, my first question is why general anasthesia? (can't spell that word)...Why can't they do a local a big local, or use moderate sedation with a local? Moderate sedation puts you in lalala land and you don't remember it, and the local would make it so that you wouldn't feel it.? The only reason I could see them wanting you out, is to be totally still, so they can do what they want effectively, and in case they see something else that needs fixing. But ask about the moderate sedation... I would rather want something in my body that will be there forever to be working properly...I would have the surgery...But that is me...You have to decide for you, and do what is right in your body and mind, then accept that decision and move on with life.! I always thought I had a 4cc band...Well I was diggin in my purse and looked at my card...It says Lap-Band 10.0cm Ref B-20220 sn 13902273...So does that mean its 10cm around with a restriction capacity 10 cc, or 4cc..No where on the ID card does it say 4cc, I always thought I had a 4cc....Confused now! no no no no no NO NO NO NO YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR HIS MISTAKE. I would go back in there and tell whoever needs to know what happened and get a fill for free!!! BS...I call BS flag. Dr.'s are human they make mistakes and they also have to pay for them. Tell them you are dissatisified and get your fill done right! Kim

I don't have any words of wisdom except to see your dr and get a RX for Zofran or Phenergan so that you don't EVER heave over and over again. I think if you told them you had the band and the reasons why, they should give you an RX...I keep some on hand all the time. No need to barf....In a pinch benedryl can work to stop nausea too! kIM

If I don't eat in the AM, a few hours later I am trying to barf..nauseated...barking like a seal trying to barf...This has happened to me twice now....weird...Usually I can drink a cup of coffee and be just fine, but lately this new nauseated thing has creeped up...and no ladies I am not preggers... no bread at all, or burritos type food. I can eat rice, about 1/3c... Kim

I guess its time to go back to basics. make sure your only eating three meals per day. No liquids 1hour after, are you choosing healthy foods. Do you need a fill or unfill. Are you exercising...even walking....The ten rules are on this site somewhere. Read them, learn them and love them pationatly! Kim

Ok update...I am back to work in the ER as a nurse....Everyone is saying..."Wow you look so good" what did you have done....And when I tell them they want to know who this Dr. Nyte fellow is...Of course I have to tell them about Dr. Ortiz and how I started on this journey. I have given Dr. ortiz's information out to a few people, and I have given Dr. Nytes info out. I hope I get a kickback or something. I have been using Mederma on my breast, and I think I am allergic to the brand without SPF in it. My boobs broke out in hives at work...Oh felt so lovely...trying to not scratch my boobs in front of everyone. I have shown my breasts to a few select folks at work and they are soooo impressed with how they turned out. I of course think they look great. and the flat tummy is price less... One very satisfied post surgical client of Dr. Nyte....and Dr. Ortiz...Of course I want to reach my goal weight, then I will be one hot hot hot mama! Kim

You deserve the best, and if the person your with does not treat you like a his queen, its time to move on! If someone loves you, they accept ALL of you! If you had a fake leg would he then say that was a crutch...??? Ya you can live without a leg, but life is easier with a fake leg....I am sure you see my point! Kim

The more I think about what you posted the more pissed off I get. Does your x not want to be in competition with your band and the attention you give it? Would he have dated you at your pre band weight? Probable not.... As we all know relationships there are give and take. Maybe you can do a better job with not vomiting so much, if he would support you more. Each person could better themselves. BUT getting a life altering break up over your band....childish....Now perhaps he does not want to see you "hurt yourself" my cont to vomit. don't know. Your band is part of you, if he does not accept you, and every part of you, then he is not for you!... Kim

WHEN YOU CAN EAT AND NOT GET THINGS STUCK ALL THE TIME, AND YOUR NOT LOOSING THEN THINK ABOUT A FILL. YOU STILL HAVE TO DO YOUR PART. EXERCISE, EAT RIGHT..ETC THE BAND IS A TOOL, SAID SOO WELL BY DR.
