  3. Waiting to see how your fill went......do tell!

  4. I am going by how my cloths fit and body image more than # on the scale. I got to caught up with weighing myself for a while. Took a step back, feels much better.

  5. Yay Janice! You are coming up on your first fill! Let's keep our fingers crossed for restriction ASAP! For me, it was there....then it was gone.
  6. Hey there! Thanks for watching....I am a dork.... : )How's the liquids going? Hope you are hanging tough! You can do this!

  7. My momma went with me to TJ because she and the rest of my family were tripped out with my going by myself. I was a little bummed because I wanted to see TJ and with my mom going we had to assure everyone that we were going to stay in the hotel or the clinic the entire time. Much to my suprise my mom said lets go shopping! Woot! So I had a companion and a shopping partner! We did not go out at night but we did shop our butte's off! Yay! I think we spent 5 hrs the day after sugery walking around and shopping. Had a blast. We went with all the people that were banded the day before us. Took 2 cabs and the same two picked us up when we were done. They took us to an off the beaten path Mexican rest. so the people who could eat ate. Very good mexican rest. and the locals wondered how we had found the place...heee heee our awesome cab driver! I will say it was a bit of a suprise to see the military trucks with the guys in back carrying guns like it shows on the news. (I guess in person it was more real.) Other than that we had a great time and did not have any thoughts of danger or fear for our safty. When you get there you will see what I am talking about. From there you will be able to make your own choices. Oh, and when my momma and I were down there that is when the big swing flu H1N1 outbreak happened in Mexico City. Talk about getting razzed about that for months! Ugh! I was so sick of hearing about the swine flu..... At anyrate you will be in the best of hands!
  8. You can do this! Everything is ready for this moment! The next couple of months of hard work are on you. Then the band steps in and joins the fight! You will no longer be on your own! You will be in a partnership with the band! Keep your feet in today, with your eyes on the prize! We are here for you!
  9. Denise! That is fricking awesome you are rocking!
  10. Hey Lindsay, I increased my protien intake with a shake the last couple days to see if it will get me one the down hill again. I noticed your status and 3.5 down is awesome! Woot! What is your ideal weight? Mine first MAJOR goal is 160-170 range.

  11. Janice! You are the sweetest person! I tell ya, it made me feel soooo good to see your message. I think that is the magic of this board. Feeling good and making friends! I will say I am addicted to this board, and am okay with it! Ha! I am doing more for myself, and by doing that I've made some great friendships on line. I love to talk band right now and it is so nice to come here and speak band. LOL I have a few friends in my life that are banded, but we don't talk as much and see each other hit and miss. BUT I have a ton of friends on here, and the subject matter is band! How great is that!
  12. Hey Janice! I hope you had a wonderful night last night! Happy New Year girl friend!

  13. Happy Birthday! I hope this year fills your life with your hearts desires! Out with the old in with the new!

  14. A Decade in review aye.....cool! Let's see... I moved away from my family to build a life of my own. Come to know Jesus in a very real way. Stopped smoking weed! Been 10 years! Been with my current employer for 10 years Met the love of my life! (thanks to God!) Broke my foot. Had trouble with DVT's and a pulminary embolism Married Jim. Blessed with a child. Had a house build. Got my lap band!!!! Asked forgiveness for some pretty rotten things I had done in the past. This decade I have really gotten comfortable in my own skin. Learned to embrace what makes me me. I've become more outspoken and less of a doormat. Made some very good friends! Those are a few of the highlights! I sure there are many many more, but those are the ones that pop up with out to much thought!
  15. Sabrina - do you know what caused the band to close up so tight? Did you have a stuck episode or stress? Have fun on your vacation. It is so cool that you got to talk to Michael Buble! What a life you lead!
  16. Hey Jay - sounds like the band is working well for you! I love to hear peoples stories with a bit of time under their belt!
  17. Coffee with FF creamer bag of protein chips toppings off a square of pizza x 2 turkey hamb helper 2 choc chip cookies hand full of candied nuts Holidays are over, but the treats still linger..... Bogiesmom - I am LOL @ you. I think you are the first person I am read a post from that sounded excited about a stuck/PB episode!
  18. Happy New Year! I wish you all a wonderful 2010! May you have health, wisdom, happiness, and wealth! I hope to see less of you this next year! Looking forward to getting skinny with you all! Be safe and have a wonderful time in whatever you do tonight! As for me and my family, we are watching FRINGE and going to bed early. Hubby wakes at 5 am and so our New Year is modified to fit our lifestyle. Normally I stay up and wake the hubby for the kiss, but tonight I plan on going to bed. If I wake up, I will smootch my honey then. Ah we truly are a young/old married couple! I love my life! I hope you all are living the life of your dreams, I know I am! Cheers! Angie
  19. Make sure you chew well. Chewing is the key to a successful partnership with the band. I have a decent level of restriction, which took me several months to build up to. I love my band and it has taught me so very much. I love the limits it sets for me. In many ways it does for me what I was unable to feel successful doing for myself. I lovingly refer to my band as "forced behavior modification". Don't fear it, work with it.
  20. A few word before I get started ranting about what's new. I want to say thank you to each of you who reads my randomness. I love getting your messages, questions and thoughts. It feels good to get to know you and I really appeciate you taking the time to comment. To any guy who reads this, you may as well stop now if women speak bugs you. I will be sharing about being tight with a fill; but the reason why it's a women thing! You have been forewarned. So, I am having my monthly cycle, and boy can I tell. I have tightened up fo sho! Drinking coffee, I am A-OK. No issue what so ever. Drinking a cold beverage, wow can I ever tell the difference! I've up to fill number 5, been able to drink as much as I wanted anytime I have wanted. There has been 2 times where I took a normal size drink of room temp liquid that I could feel either it get held up or drain slowly. Boy does it come as a surprise! Now I have read over and over that some bandsters struggle with getting there liquids in. Some even suck on ice cubes during the day to help out. I never understood why drinking was so hard. I manage to drink 3 – 20 oz vitamin waters a day, plus coffee. Now I understand what they are meaning now. The shoe is on the other foot. Getting liquids in is more of a challenge when you have some whoop ass restriction! I am still on my 1st bottle of water at 10:15. Today is the first day that I have not loosened up while the day progressed. I was going to eat a scrambled egg for breakfast today, but decided to pass when I noticed I was snug! It's mid morning and I have not had anything. WOW! Yet another indicator that my fill level is good! I don't want to run my band so snug that I go to slider foods or pass on foods that are good for me. That being said, I will tolerate a week out of the month for hormonal reasons. At this point in the game, I am not in to drinking everything and doing it so slow! It will be interesting to see when my band relaxes again…..I'll be sure to blog about that. Wouldn't you know it!! today is pizza day at work. I have a feeling I will only be eating the toppings from the pizza. Is my band passive aggressive?! Does she know I am eating in a group setting, and having pizza no less…ha! I am kidding but geesh! I have to say it is kinds nice to feel the restriction that is spoke of. It's always surprised me when others share about feeling the liquids drain and getting a gurgle. I can say now, that I know what it feels like to feel it drain….still waiting on the gurgle sound. Alright, hope ya'll are doing good and living the life of your dreams!
  21. Okay, read your status update....do we need a letter of necessity for our taxes?

  22. Hey Red! Good to see ya, and less of ya at that! Looking good, so glad you came to check in and update us.
  23. I completely understand that. Matter of fact, more than I would like too. Simply I moved my surgery up 2 months due to a work issue and boy did that ever make an impact. My hubby sustained an injury that had him out of work for 6 months. During that time we had to replace his trany on his truck as well. Big financial hit. We are actually looking forward to income tax time to help us get back on track a bit. We have not been a couple who is saddled with heavy debt, so this is a new one for us. We usually plan better. It is difficult to expect the unexpected though. It is amazing what a few months would do huh! Oh and I was all to happy to bump the date up as I was so ready to set the ball in motion. Who knew so many factors would happen over a short amount of time!? Ugh!
