  1. Kristi - I am sure you will be seeing or feeling a change soon! Thanks for supporting my thoughts on which scale to go by. RevyD - I knew you would be on fire. I've been reading your food log and can I say you are rocking this band! Way to GO! You will be healthy and skinny minnie in no time! Take pictures....you will be amazed. I take head shots and I can really tell! Carrie - Wow! Talk about action action action! You are coming off the plateau with a vengence! Holy Smokes! Sabrina - I think a pound is fantastic. I googles what a comparison fat to ratio of something in real life would look like. You know, so I could wrap my mind around what a lb of fat looks like in size. I was amazed and shocked. I will never look at a lb again in the same way. You Rock! AshleyMarie - I am so happy for you! Your doing great, and to be in onederland! Yes!ome to onederland!
  2. You are very classy to reply respectfully. Everyone has the right to speak there minds. It's a shame that by doing so, they show there true nature. It takes all kinds to make the world go around. I personally like to surround myself with people such as you. Who are postive and have a great outlook on life! Very cool! Keep up the great work. Shelby - I am sorry to hear that stress has taken it's toll on your band. I hope you loosen up soon. I will pray for you and your family.
  3. Hey gang! I had an interesting day yesterday...I was in the dumps. I had a nurse visit for a check up/weigh in and blood work as I have past my 6 month bandiversary. I was caught off guard when the scale said I weighed 247! The horror! I know I pry sound dramatic, okay, it is what is it. It was a 6 lbs difference from my scale at home. When I stepped on it at home it read 240.2!! ( I did weigh with my shoes and cloths on, as I am still uncomfortable getting naked in a public walk way......hee hee hee!) I weigh myself like any good OCD bandster would, naked, after I pee first think it the morning.....LOL I stick to the rules pretty good. Been avoiding Halloween candy like it's the DEVIL!!!! I got up this morning with a better outlook. I am going to use my home scale as MY weigh in scale. Besides, it makes me feel better. Plus it is brand spanking new, just bought it last month....at any rate.....that was my bump in the road yesterday. A special thank you Carrie for listening to me whining. It was a true call the wambulance moment. Thank you sooo much! I am proud to say I broke the 240's this morning!!!! Which helped me to meet two goals. 1st being I am exactly 40 lbs down!!! 2nd being I hit another 10 lb goal. My home scale said 238.9 this morning! YES!!!! I will go by there scale when I am in the office for their paperwork and mine when I am on here and LBT.
  4. Hey Lisa - did you have a TT and could the swelling be in any way related to that? Congrats on your weight loss! You are awesome!
  5. Ha ha! Worm Butterfly - I have to say I get a kick out of the way you go about things. At anyrate, I don't mean this in a bad way, but I would rather see your face. I like putting a face to the poster. Gives me the feeling that I know them....even though we have never met. I don't know all your facts, like I am not sure when you got your latest fill....but if you are having trouble with soup, in my opinion you are running pretty snug. To tight for my taste. One small irritation and your in for an unfill. I am not saying this to make you upset. I realize you are under Dr.'s care, but it seems crazy to me to be so tight that you are having trouble with soup. I wish you the best and hope you don't have any issues.
  6. Ha ha! You put a smile on my face and gave me a chuckle. It's been a hard day so I am grateful to you!

  8. I think you need to be tested. Sounds like you are right, go in and your Dr will order a test. The test is not fun, but it will confirm your thoughts quickly. No sense being in pain.
  9. Hi Jbarnes - I know it is a very difficult time, being a foodie staying on liquids is tough. We are asked to make the sacrafice to have our bands scar into place. That is what holds the band is scar tissue. Yes, I know you are thinking they stitch it, but what ultimatly keeps it in place for years is scar tissue. When you put food in your stoma it puts pressure on the band, any scarring will be tested and could break from the weigh of food setting in the pouch to early. Liquids pass through the band with ease, food gets caught up, even without restiction. Right now is a critical time for healing. Now that being said, I had small cheats along the way. I am not proud to admit that, but it is the truth. Please do your best best best to get back to liquids. You and your band need it. Your band may not slip today, but if you do not give it time to heal and get good solid scarring you could be setting yourself up for a slip down the road. Hang in there, I know it is tough cuz you feel great and have no pain. Don't continue to eat foods, go back to your liquids please....and pronto. It's for your health.
  10. Hey Lisa - I have to say if I had back surgery I would have to deviate from the "rules" too. I mean, heck...pain...discomfort=BIG A$$ BABY lol girl you are doing good. Back to the basics sounds like a great place to begin again! You can do it!
  11. Amber - I am not sure if it will work on bread, but I have heard great things about Papya enzimes. I hope I spelled that right....anyway, it would be worth a shot. I also would not eat anything else, only liquids until it passes. Baby yourself. Also this is my opinion, I don't believe you have slipped your band. Hang in there.
  12. I've heard warm prune juice does a great job of getting things moving again.
  13. Hey you....just checking in with ya. I have an apt tomorrow to weight in for the month....I hope to have lost another 8 lbs. How are you doing....

  14. If you are feeling worn out, you may want to have your PC doctor to a work up of your vitamin levels. Could be low on iron or what not. Since you are a nurse, maybe start wearing a padometer, you may suprise your self with just how many steps you are taking in a day. That may very well be a work out......??? I don't know. Just some thoughts, if they don't sound practical throw them out with the bathwater! LOL
  15. I am home with a sickly little boy. He is feeling well enough to be ornery but not good enough to go to school....aka Daycare. I have the morning shift and my hubby has the afternoon shift....Ugh!
  16. Hey! How's it going? I am doing good. I need another fill....but am waiting for it.

  17. Sabrina good luck with your surgery tomorrow! Happy Birthday today!

  22. Odette - I am really starting to look like a stalker! LOL How are you. I hope to hear from you soon!

  23. Well said. Another thing I like is the change for me has been a process. So it doesn't seem like holy cow, I can't eat these foods at all.
