I had my 2nd band put in on 3/27 (had a slip and hiatal hernia first time around), and I am also experiencing SEVERE itching and hives. I've never had them before, have reviewed the house for any NEW soaps, textiles...and there's nothing new. Just the new band. My first banding was in February 2007, and it did not have the new cushions around the inside of the band. I'm also afraid the new cushions might be causing the reaction. I have a call into my doctor. If he confirms anything, I'll be sure to let u know.
