  1. Hi RevyD, I agree with Pammie. You not only look great, but You ARE doing great!!! Yay Angie for getting you the info to get the pics posted. Congrats! Hugs, Kristi
  2. Great post! I also firmly believe it takes a village. I have been a Navy wife for almost 17 years and in this time, I have lived in many areas and many many of the other military wives and I work together from everything to planning all types of events to helping each other raise our kids to giving the support needed when needed. It does take a village. Sabrina, I am sending you them good virtual vibes right now. Shelby, between you and Sabrina, I swear you two are reading my thoughts. I am not sure if PS will happen anytime soon for me either, too much money and even if the Navy will cover it, honestly kinda scared. I went yesterday and tried on dresses for my husbands Christmas party, and I was trying on size 6s. This is the size I was when I first met my husband. I haven't weighed under 150 since before I was pregnant with my daughter in late 1994. I want to look elegant for the party and in the mirror I still see the old me that was not so small. Then in pictures, I realize I do look different. Ugh... It can be so frustrating. Lisa, you are Amazing and your outside appearance is a reflection of who you are. You are an inspiration! Keep smiling.. Carrie, I am sorry that your husband is getting crap from co-workers. His co-workers must not really know him very well. Everything I have learned about him on here from you, tells me he is a supportive and very loving husband. And you are right, marriage is work! No ones relationship is perfect and we all must work in one form or another to keep it strong. I don't think my husband understands all my insecurities either. I know have more than he thinks I have. This forum is a wonderful village to be a part of and I am thankful to have found all of you! Hugs to all, Kristi
  3. Hi All, Well, I weighed in yesterday and forgot to post. My scale was nice. It read 146. This week seems to have been a great one for the majority. Wonderful job everyone!!! Next week I plan to make it to my 1st goal of 145. Once I attain this goal I will put up my new goal. Hugs to all, Kristi
  4. :lb14: Stormy, I am glad to see you back online too. It is so true that everyone's results will be different. 46 pound loss is wonderful, and for anyone to tell you different is just a sad sad person. Because if you think about it, that means the only way to make themselves feel better is by making someone else feel worse. Does that make sense to you? I believe if you are honest with yourself and who you are, it doesn't matter what others think. I know it is easier said than done, I am guilty of not always following that advice myself. Keep your chin up and like I said already, I am glad that you are here again. > Hugs, Kristi
  5. Hi Angie, Yep, I am with you!!! I plan on totally avoiding my scale until Wednesday. It will be hard, but will do it.... I also have a WW scale. I got it at Costco and love it too!!! Well, I need to get going and shower. I have been sick and I have errands to run and things to clean... Hugs to all, Kristi
  6. Good Morning all, Today is a nice day already. My scale read 148. Yippee, and that means I have hit the 90 pound loss!!! yay!!! :girl_dance: Angie, I am so proud of you for avoiding the scale. I have been trying to do that too, it is hard. Really Hard... Sabrina, Happy Bandaversary!! :lb21: Make sure to write a post about all the changes in the last year, (if you haven't already) I love to read those. BTW- you look awesome! Carrie, I understand about the sweets. I ate so much this T-day. Ugh... Although now I am kinda sweeted out. Maybe thats a good thing. LOL... Debbi- You are doing so great with your Band! Suzpars, Congrats! Keep up the good work.. Hugs, Kristi

  8. Good Morning All, Well, I weighed in yesterday and had no internet... LOL... But I finally hit the 140s. I was at 149 yesterday morning.... Very excited over this.... Sabrina, Woohoo... I am so happy for you! Angie, Awesome!!! Before you know it even the 30s will be a thing of the past.... Carrie, Your scale might have stayed the same, but you are HOT! Andy, congrats too... Your doing great. It is great to see so many posting here for our weigh-in-wednesdays.. BTW where is Charelle, I hope she is OK. Anyone heard from her lately? Have a great Week all.. Happy Thanksgiving!! Hugs, Kristi
  9. :lb14: Angie- Putting up the pics was awesome. Although I have to admit I was thinking the same thing Carrie was at first. But when I scrolled for the second pic, well, it made sense. It is so amazing how much food they serve people these days. Debbie- you are so funny. Carrie- I am so happy that you are doing better from your surgery. :good2: Hugs, Kristi

  11. :lb14: So this morning is my 6 month bandaversary. The time has flown by so fast. I still cannot believe that I am where I am with my weight right now. I worry sometimes that I am gonna wake up and this be a nightmare and I am back at 238. I have worked very hard at the gym but I love my band. So here are the changes that have happened in the last 6 months. On 4/24/09, I weighed in at 238. (highest weight) My surgery Day 5/19/09: 221 Today 11/19/09: 150.3 I wish I would have measured myself completely back then. The only measurement I know is my waist which was 43 1/2 now it is 29 1/2 Size of clothes: 4/24/09 & 5/19/09 tops: XXL & 14/16 as well as 18/20 jeans: 18 (tight) dress: 16 - 18 5/19/09: tops: medium to large depending on the cut jeans: mostly 8s, but I bought a pair of Levi's yesterday that are a size 6. dress: not sure, haven't bought one or tried any sizes on yet. What a whirlwind this has been. I am not yet at goal, my first goal is a tad more than 5 pounds to go, and that will put me at 145. I want to get to 138 to 135. The support from this forum has been so wonderful and I thank my lucky stars to have found all of you. I am blessed. So many of you are more than just support, you are friends. Hugs to all, Kristi
  12. Hello, well, I didn't realize until yesterday afternoon that it was Wednesday and I forgot to weigh myself. The last two weeks I have been so off. LOL.. I weighed myself this morning, about 2 minutes ago and I am at 150.3 :cheerleader: Hugs to all, Kristi
  13. Lisa, I am sorry to hear you have been having these issues and glad you are doing better. Hugs, Kristi
  14. :lb14: Michelle, You look great! I look forward to hitting goal too. Congrats on your new guy. Keep us posted. Hugs, Kristi
  15. :lb5: I have an NSV to share, that might be too much information, but ah well, I am gonna do it anyway. I went into Victoria's Secret to but some panties yesterday because all mine are way too big and I got the best compliment and had an NSV. So here goes, I went into Vickies and asked one of the salesgirls there how I figure out which size panties to buy. (It has been a long time since I bought panties that were not a size 8/9 in the mega packs.) So anyways, the girl says, You are about my size, you should be wearing a small. My jaw dropped because I thought I had mis-heard her, so I said "excuse me", she says you need a "small". There was that word again...small??? I couldn't believe what I had heard. I also thought this girl might have lost her mind by claiming that I was a small in panties. So of course I immediately hugged this stranger and told her she was wonderful as I was tearing up. Well, the kicker was, if I liked extra low rise panties, the small fit. However, I am a full coverage kinda gal and went with the mediums. So GOOD-BYE big girl panties!!!
  16. :lb14: Carrie, You are awesome. I so agree with others that you are truly inspirational and so supportive. I also feel like I know you and so many others on this board. You are a beautiful person inside and out. I am with you on finally living. It is so great to be living again.... :lb10: on your success!!! Hugs, Kristi
  17. Good Morning All, This morning the scale was at 152.9. :girl_dance: That means I am a full 85 pounds less now. Woo hoo....... I have been working hard at the gym again and it is working. Hugs, Kristi
  18. Carrie, I am sorry to hear you have been in pain from your GB. I haven't had mine out, but my best friend did about 4 years ago and it changed her eating habits. She had a heck of a time before they finally diagnosed her. It was really hard on her. I am with ya too on the band not being the issue. You will have to let us know when you are having your surgery. Hugs, Kristi
  19. Hi anicoler, I have Hypothyroidism, however I will always have it. I had to have my thyroid removed due to cancer back in November 2006. I gained over 80 pounds before I received my band. I hit 238 and I am only 5'2". I had struggled with weight since 1995 after my first child and then found out I had a thyroid problem all along from the pathology report from my thyroidectomy. My being banded has been the best gift I could have received. I have lost over 83 pounds now and I am still working hard at it. The gym has been my best friend, and I also have a trainer that I got the end of July to keep me on track. I love working out now. It is invigorating and gets me geared up for the rest of the day. I have heard so many wonderful things from experiences from the OCC. I did a tour online of the facility and it is beautiful. I actually had my surgery done through the military and I did have a great experience there too. I wish you luck on your decision. Kristi
  20. :lb5: MissyG, Being banded has been wonderful. I still have days that I eat a bit too much or too fast, but overall I make sure to stick to my banded way of life and I work hard at the gym. Hugs, Kristi
  21. :lb14: Lisa, Congrats! I agree with others that you made that look too easy and loads of fun. Very cool! Hugs, Kristi
  22. Carrie, :lb21: You look fabulous! What an awesome transformation. Keep up the great work. I look forward to hitting my 1 year banded. In 10 days I will be hitting my 6 month mark. I am excited... Hugs, Kristi
