  4. Thanks Kayla. Won't be long and you will be celebrating this milestone as well. Stick with the program and exercise and the weight will melt off especially at your age. If I can do it at 51 you can do it girl !! :)

  5. Thanks so much for the encouragement. Where in BC do you live?

  6. Thanks Amy. I actually feel like a hot mama. I celebrated with my kids and family today for losing 100 pounds. I am so glad that I got banded and did this for myself . I feel like at 52 my life is just beginning :)

    Thanks for the support

  7. Strained clear broth would be fine. I would not suggest staying on this phase and not eating yogurt and cream soups. Your band needs the protein to heal into place and clear liquids have not protein. Try the tortilla soup on this forum it is sooooooooooooooooooo good and most of us lived on it. I certainly never got tired of it . I am not a yogurt fan either but found the yoplait drinks quite refreshing after being on clear fluids. So in answer to your question do not bypass this phase because you need the protein to heal that band properly in place so it does not slip later on. Debbie
  8. My first meal was mexican eggs. That is to say in a bowl I mixed 1 egg, 1 oz of cheese and 1/4 cup of salsa. Stirred it all up and scrambled it. It was delicous. If you are going for lunch I would suggest fish for your first meal simply because it goes down so easy. If you don't like fish I often get a big shrimp cocktail. If none of that appeals to you then get your grilled chicken but you most likely will have to have some sort of sauce on it so it slides down easy. Or just cut it into very small pieces and chew chew chew. Hope that helps. Enjoy
  9. These sound awesome. We do not have target in Canada. Has anyone in Canada seen this product in any of the stores?

  13. Thank you everyone for all your kind words and encouragement. It is so awesome to be doing this journey with you all. I know that each and everyone of us is going to reach our goals as we continue to go down this path together and stay connected. Angie you asked how much I had left to lose. I have 42 pounds left to reach my goal of 175 set by Dr. Miranda. I hope to lose that by June . I have already talked to Dr Nyte who many have used on this forum for plastic surgery and I will hopefully be booked for my extened tumy tuck at the beginning of July. I can't believe how much this band has changed my life. I would have never thought thaat when I wasa banded on Sept 29th I would be at this weight already. I FEEL AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My kids are so proud of me and people at work just can't believce it. They call me the incredible shrinking woman ( haha) Well need to go and do some paper work. Have a wonderful weekend everyon and thanks gain. I could never have done this without all of you. Hugs Debbie P.S Sorry about the spelling but I hate this new reply feature because I can only see half of what I write.
  14. Good morning everyone. I just had to share with all my band friends . I usually weigh on Saturdays but don't mark it down until Wednesday with everyone else at the forum. Well I can't wait until Wednesday to share with you all that I have lost 100 pounds. My entire life has changed since I got banded. It is the best thing I could have done. I feel so much more healthy. I have tons of energy. I can buy cloths off the rack now in a store, instead of going to Penningtons or the plus sizes. Thank God for Penningtons but I am not going to miss them Thank you everybody for your support on this forom. You have all been incredible in your encouragement and answering questions. Anyways I just wanted to share with you how happy I was today. Now I am off for a 10 km walk to celebrate. WOW what a revelation. I can't believ I am going to go excercise to celebrate and not go eat something. Have a great day everyone.

  18. Yes they suggest that everyone get a fill at 6-8 weeks. I told Dr Miranda that I was not going to get a fill until I had gone several weeks with no weight loss at all. She had no problem with that. There have been cases when someone went all the way to goal and never had a fill. I am hoping that I will be one of those lucky ones. Debbie
  19. Wow you are doing so well. I will email you the next time I am coming to Victoria and we can meet at Evatars for coffee. Good luck with your next fill. Debbie

    Tomato Pie

I just slice the fresh tomatoes and lay them on a paper towel while I am preparing the rest of the ingredients and baking the pie shell. Once I am ready to put them in the pie shell they are fine and the fluid has been absorbed Deb
  22. Way to go Trav. You must feel amazing Debbie
