  4. Thanks so much for the kind words. I laughed out loud when you said you wanted to throw me a parade. I am happy you are past your plateau Eveyone on this site is so amazing and if it was not for you all I don't think I would be half as good and sticking with it. THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR YOUR SUPPORT Debbie
  5. Thanks. No real secret . I am following the OCC instructions to the tee. I also exercise 7 days a week for 30-40 minutes of cardio and do bands every second day. At work I take the stairs all the time and no elevator anymore No junk food at all, and barely any carbs. I am a woman with a mission. I want to take my kids to disneyland next October so I am bound and determined to be at my goal by then. I will tell you one thing. There is no way I could do this without all of your support, and encouragement. I read this forum at least 3-4 times a day , look at the pictures etc. So thanks for noticing and the words of encouragement. You have done amazing and are one of my inspirations Debbie
  6. That would be a good questions for Dr Ortiz. He has had 1000s of patients so could give you stats on if any of his patients developed cancer. Personally I think the media just try to scare the hell out of you . It is like the H1N1 and all the false reporting that has been done. I am a nurse and all the media did was really screw up informatoin and provoke panic in the people.
  7. Hahahahahah. Your such a hoot Angie. I love reading this forum before I go to work because someone always makes me chuckle Debbie
  8. Congratulations on your band anniversary and well done everyone . Considering it was your thanksgiving you did terrific. I am happy to report that after 0 pounds lost last week, I dropped 5 pounds this week. I SAY IT AGAIN .......................I LOVE MY BAND Debbie

  10. Angie you always crack me out. Scale whore I have never heard anything so funny I weigh on Saturdays but always mark it down wednesdays with everyone else. Usually I weigh in every morning but I will join you all and try to only weigh once a week. I went from weighing about 6 times a day to once and day and was happy with that. But I Think I will go for the once a week weigh in as well. Good luck everyone Debbie
  11. Hi Stormie. It is so good to see you back. You were one of the first posts I read when I came to this forum trying to decide whether to be banded. You have been an encouragement and an inspiration. Please do not let someone make you feel uncomfortable. We need to hear what you have to say. I heard and made up my mind to be banded. Thanks for being a part of that process. Debbie

  15. Hi Deena . So good to hear from you. I have missed you on the forum and been thinking about you. Congrats on your weight loss. How are you finding your new life style? Also thanks for the tip on old Navy. We do have one in Victoria so I will have to go and check it out. Sure would be nice to buy something in a regular store and not Penningtons Anyways take care and drop me a line and let me know how you are doing. Debbie

  18. :lb5: Best advice that I can give you is to start living your life now as though you were banded. Stop drinking with meals. Start exercising 30 minutes a day. Follow your pre-op diet so you can lose some weight and your liver will be healthy for surgery. If you do these things you will be ahead of the game when you get banded. Your journey is just beginning. Get ready for a wonderful ride. Debbie

  23. I agree with Angie. Call the OCC but it sounds like bad gas pains. Walk, walk and then walk some more. Lifting arms up and down or like a wind mill can get you belching which will hurt but feel so much better. I would cool it on the Tyelenol number 3 or you are going to get very constipated and have trouble in that area. Try to just use Tyelenol extra strength or some advil. Make sure you get lots of water in as well because that will help with constipation. I am a nurse so just want to caution you on the codeine and it's affects. Keep us posted how you are doing Debbie
