  10. It is a recipe that I found on this forum. Look under the recipe section. I love it and eat it pretty much every day for breakfast because it is quick for me. Basically it is a cooked pie shell Slice a onion on the bottom of the shell Slice 2 tomatoes on top of the onion. Mix mayo, paresian cheese and mozzerella cheese and pour over the top. bake in oven. Look up the recipe and try it as it is fantastic any time of the day. I make a pie, slice it into 8 pieces and have one every morning for breakfast to start the day. Debbie

  14. I left from Canada and only took one small carry on bag with me. Did not want to check any luggage. I did take my lap top and fit it right into my carryon. Don't forget that all liquids in containers cannot be over 90 mls. They also must be inside a clear zip lock bag. ( check the mls on the airport site it might be 50) Wear shoes you can just slip off because they do make you take your shoes off and put them in a bin, your lap top has to come out and go in a bin and your liguids. I wore very loose fitting capris and a loose shirt. Packed only the capris and 2 shirts.. Bring a bra that does not have any wire support and does not fit really tight. One of your incisions is right where your bra rest. Bring gas strips Bring some packages of broth. You can use bottled water to run through the coffee maker and make cups of broth which is nice. Also brought crystal light. Only drink bottled water even for brushing your teeth. Use bottled water for making your coffee etc. NO TAP WATER. NO ICE. Only having one bag that you can take on the plane makes it so much easier and then you don't have to wait around for luggage afterwards. Also easier to manage post op when you are going home. Hope these tips are helpful. Keep us posted on your journey and good luck. Debbie
  15. Great picture. You don't even look like the same girl. Way to go !!!! Debbie
  16. You can find it under the recipes. It is sooooooooooo good I could eat it everyday and right now am. I get up very early to leave for work and so I always have this in the fridge made. It is scrumpous and zaps easy in the microwave. Just go to recipes and it is under Tomatoe Pie I love it. Basically ingredients are one pie crust cooked slice up one onion and the bottom of the crust slice thinly 2 tomatoes on top of the onions. Mix in a bowl mayo, 1/2 cup parmesian cheese and 1/2 cup mozz cheese. Pour on top and bake. You have to look up the measurements because I can't remember how much mayo. . Think it is 3/4 cup This is great for dinner or breakfast. I eat it mostly for breakfast because it goes down easy Debbie
  17. Phone the OCC and talk to them about it. They may advice taking something for nausea to be pro-active for a few days. Make sure that you drink even if it is just water or you will get dehydrated which will potentiate the nausea. If you cannot drink you will have to look at seeing your doctor and have some IV fluids. Try Gatoraide, or sports drink or even eating popsicles you get fluid. Hope you are feeling better soon Debbie

  19. Thanks Odette. That encouragement means alot to me. I have every confidence that you will do just as well if not better. The key is to follow the 5 rules that they give you 1. Eat 3 times a day 2. Eat only solid food 3. Chew thoroughly 4. Do not drink liquids with meals 5. No high calorie foods. Also Dr. Ortiz told me to walk 30 minutes every day and I make sure that I do not miss. He said if I followed those rules and walked every day that I would lose the weight with no problems. I have always been an emotional eater as well as addicted to sugar . Have to confess I will a real binge eater to. I think the 21 day liquids really helped to break eating patterns and cravings for me. I have found that the band really does help me to feel full and I have not had cravings for anything but healthy food up to this point. Paying the money to have surgery also is a huge encentives to me. There is no way I am waste that money I wish that I had of done this years ago. The other huge support for me is the forum. I check in several times a day and get awesome tips and support. I love the recipe section and have got some great recipes from it. Tomatoe pie is awesome . I love it for breakfast. Also the Taco soup is amazing once you get to full fluids. I am so excited for you as you start this journey. Keep us all posted and thanks again for the encouragement Debbie

It is your openess that helped me to start this journey and once I reach 200 pounds i will definetly start looking to have an extended tummy tuck and breast lift. I am 51 years old now and like you was never happy when I was large. I can hardly wait to kiss the 200's goodbye . I know for sure when I started this lap band journey that it is also the start of a brand new life for me , and I am going to enjoy every minute of it. Thanks again Debbie
