  1. I really feel for you. It has to be really hard with young kids. I can't even imagine the struggle. I pretty much stayed out of the kitchen for the liquid phase. Maybe put up pictures of what you want to achieve all over your kitchen walls? Heck, I think if I was in you shoes I'd try it along with hanging a clothing line from the walls to hang up clothes I wanted to get into. That way you could look at them as you make the food. You kids are lucky to have a mom that gives them Popchips in their lunch BTW. You could also by those magnets featuring vintage pin-up girls on your fridge. They are not only trendy, fashionable and functionable but could serve as major inspiration. I bought my sister some Betty Page ones for Christmas.
  2. According to thedailyplate.com you burned approximately 3000 calories today! LOL! Not sure if it was that much bun even if it was only half of that I do not think you need to worry about what you eat today.

  4. Not much difference if any. I can't tell yet. I got another 0.6cc for a total of 6.6cc and I feel as though I will be going back next month for another fill. I think I needed 0.75cc for a total of 6.75. 7cc was definately going to be too much. He tried it but that barium was not moving at all.

  5. Hmmm...I don't know, is that what you call a back-handed compliment? My sister is infamous for back-handed compliments. I have never heard of the sydrome but personally I have never had anyone say to me "you have such a pretty face..." and although I consider myself relatively attractive I would probably rate myself a 6 on a scale of 1-10. I am one of those people who is definately not photogenic and I take terrible pictures so I have a tendency to base my looks on that. If a photo is a mirror image then I have issues. I have heard of and it sounds like your sister is referring to "Butterface Syndrome" which goes something like "she has a great body but her face..."
  6. The flavor I recommend is Jamaica and they actually sell the BeLight waters at other pharmacies too and the 1.5L is only 1.50!! You can get a 12 pack from the Mexican Costco for $7.50ish but it is the 20 ounce bottles - I bought the 12 pk today and hulled it on the train back to LA. Basically do not bring water - just buy it there and save the hastle. But definately bring the cart ...

  7. Fill went okay. Got another 0.6cc for a total of 6.6cc. Not sure if that is enough. I think I actually needed 0.75cc but we shall see. If you plan on doing some shopping bring one of those carts with wheels that you see at the swap meet so you can laod up on goodies while you are there. I highly recommend the BeLight 1.5L water bottles they sell at the Pharmacy across the main blvd from the OCC.

  8. I first saw this video about 2 months ago and I have thought about it ever since! What she said REALLY stuck with me and I needed to post it here becuase I think this video is so helpful in keeping it real and everything in perspective. It was hard hearing her reality and her honesty and I think that is why this has stayed with me the last 2 months. Her other videos are also very genuine and the quality is excellent. http://www.youtube.com/user/skymoon1982#p/u/30/H7ak4BVVTcU

    The glue

It took my glue about 6 weeks to fully come off on its own. My scars are pink like a bunny rabbits ears and as someone else has said on this forum, it looks like I got into a knife fight. I was banded 3 months ago.
  10. I totally get what you are saying but it does not sound like they were trying to be sexy. To me "sexy at any size" means people who at least make an effort regarding their appearence and what goes into their bodies but at the same time are comfortable enough in their skin with high self esteem. Personally my self esteem sucks ass. I guess sexy at any size boils down to a state of mind. If you feel good about yourself the more likely you are to make an effort to eat healthy, excercise and look good. But this still does not take into account portion control, which for me anyway is ther reason I got banded.

  12. Debbie, You should come with a label that looks like this *Results Not Typical
  13. Thanks, glad to hear someone is actually reading my posts :) Second fill gave me a little more restriction (about 50% more than the first) but not nearly where I need to be. Going back for my third fill on Monday. I have 6CC so far and I think I am going to need at least a total of 7cc. Debbie should come with a bi-line reading "results not typical." Not loosing much either - WW has hel...

  16. 90% of the time that is. I have had 2 fills for a total of 6cc and I still do not have hardly any restiction.

  17. I hope someone answers your question about the smaller and larger band. I have the giagantor band (Realize 11cc) and my understanding is that the larger bands need more adjustments then the smaller ones b/c they hold more salin. 11cc vrs 4cc. I tried asking Dr. Ortiz for the smaller one but he told me he no longer used it. I HATE the larger band and honestly I feel like I do not even have a band.

  18. Sometimes I feel hungry on WW but honestly that is with ANY program. WW has helped me manage my hunger and that is the key. If I am hungry I eat but at least with WW it is a tool for making better choices and knowing tips and tricks to make it through one meal at a time. I do not think the band is helping me "yet". Right now it is willpower and WW and that is the reason I lost 15 pounds so far. I am sure once I get to the restiction level I need to be at I will feel that the band is a useful tool. Everyone is different though. Some people need more structure (like me) and some people get banded b/c they need less structure. I knew before getting banded that I would need WW to fall back on during the times when I have little or no restriction. Also I am an Analyst by profession and find myself counting points in my sleep I live in the WW Matrix so I do not think there will ever be a time when I stop counting points even with great restiction and a weight of 120 pounds. It is just ingrained in me. I catch myself asking "I wonder how many points that is?" all the time.
  19. I can pretty much eat anything. The Oroweat sandwich thins do get stuck after eating half but other then that I am okay although I avoid a lot of foods so I have no idea. What I mean is I avoid eating out all together and when work orders in lunch like 4 times per week I always order the same thing - either a greek salad or egg white veggie omlette with a side of cottage cheese and salsa. Right now I am self regulating and stopping myself after a certain amount but at the same time I try to go for volume vs content. I have more will power then I really ever gave myself credit for and honestly right now I am running on 90% will power and 10% band. I am okay with that it is just I hope to someday get my money's worth from the band. I have had 2 fills and I go back to the OCC for a third fill on Monday. I am just trying to focus on enjoying the journey and not get too wrapped up in the end result.

  21. As of Sunday's morning weigh-in I am at 170.6, which brings me down 1.3 Pounds for the week! Trying not to get too excited as TOM is right around the corner and that usually means a gain for next week.
  22. I like it big!! The more glitter the better! Looks like you got it figured out ;) Welcome!

  23. http://laughingcow.com/ Only 35 calories a pop! So Mandy says she uses these as a replacement for mayo in tuna salad I use 1 of these for mayo AND cheese singles replacement on my sandwiches along with Arnold Select/Oroweat Sandwich Thins. Good bye mayo, cheese and sliced bread...you have been replaced for good! My mom uses these as a cream cheese replacement on her Western Bagel Alternative Bagels Costco sells a 4 pack of these for $8.35!!! Since they can be stored in the fridge or at room temp I know they are also a great cheese replacement in recipes. Can you think of any other tips and tricks for these little marvels?
