  1. I took a protein shake with me to have the night before. Didn't eat anything the day after. I made sure I had plenty to drink and was fine. Madge.
  2. Angie, The band slipped when I had a stomach flu. I didn't maintain at all, nearly put it all back on again! That's why I needed another one! I've been in touch with Dr. O and there doesn't seem to be any reason for a slip (I think I'm just super paranoid). I'm just plodding on with the liquids and taking things easy. I feel a lot better this evening after being able to have a protein drink. It's pretty tough just broth and liquids, I have been exhausted. I think the back pain is stress, my neck is sore as well. I always get neck and back pains when I'm stressed. Madge
  3. Yes I did mean broth. Feeling okay now, just have a little back ache and I feel a little hungry today (first day of feeling hungry) Could the back pain still be gas pains? I didn't have any gas pains after the surgery as I walked so much. I'm just a little paranoid as I had a band removed last year due to a slip and I really really don't want the same thing happening again. Thanks, Madge
  4. I'm five days post op, I had some soup for my dinner (first thing I've eaten today) and I now feel super full. I'm worried something has gone wrong, I'm burping and I feel as if some soup/drink is coming up (sorry) it's not coming up, but I can feel it bubbling. Does this sound normal or have I managed to screw it up? Sorry for the manic post, I feel really paranoid. Madge.
  5. I had my surgery on Monday. I really had a hard time on the pre op diet and felt very unsure about the post op. Honestly I have been fine, not felt hungry really. I just drank liquids until dinner time when I had a yogurt drink and a popsicle and I'm now full up! Don't worry you'll be fine. Good luck tomorrow.
  6. Thank you all so much. It's so helpful to know what you think is essential. madge.
  7. Thanks Kimra, I'll add those to my list.
  8. Hi all, A newbie here. I'm scheduled for surgery on May 17th. I'm wondering if anyone has a list of things they think you must take with you to Mexico. I'll be traveling on my own and want to make sure I have everything I could possibly need. Many thanks Madge
